The stars shine bright,
Specks of light,
In a sky of black and blue.
The river runs slow
Beneath the bridge,
Reflecting the city's glow.
Paris at night,
Is a magical sight,
The city of love and loss.
The Eiffel Tower stands there,
Sharp and tall and fair.
My broken heart was pierced with fear
The night my tears
Ran free.
Paris smells and Paris sights
Glinted back at me.
As I stood above the River Seine.
Catching the tiny drops of rain.
As I watch that Parisian night
And give up the pieces of my heart
For this is not mine to fight.
