"What? I...who?" Phineas felt as if the air was knocked out of him. His heart wrenched as he realized what had happened. "No. No... It couldn't have..." He pulled Isabella into his arms again, holding on for dear life.
"Mamã y papã... They're gone, Phineas. Just..just..." Isabella couldn't hold back tears any longer as she held Phineas with all of her might.
Phineas steadied his breath and looked down at the girl he loved so much. 'Dont you dare start crying, Phineas Flynn.' He thought to himself. ' Isabella needs you to be... Strong.'
Too late.
The combined devastation of the loss of two of the sweetest people he knew, and the shaking girl that lay in his arms was too much.
And as he held the girl in his arms, Isabella was unaware of the tears slipping down his face and the pain he felt in his heart. Yet he was trying to stay strong for her.
This was a nightmare come true.
