The thoughts of you destroy me from the inside,
I hate that you are no longer mine,
The thing that I miss the most is having you by my side,
I also miss the taste of your kiss; it was truly divine,
I miss waking up next to you and seeing your beautiful face,
The way your smile brought light to my life,
I miss your ever so gentle and loving embrace,
I guess your leaving was preordained due to all of our strife,
Perhaps I’ll never grow out of loving you,
I’ll never be able to forget the day you walked out my door,
I couldn’t help but to chase after you; to try to pursue,
Now I’m sitting here alone and not sure what to do anymore,
I hate that you felt as though your only choice was to depart,
I’ll always love you, but I think it’s time that I have a fresh start.
