my laptop emits a bubbly ring tone, it must be luke.
*incoming skype call from pukey lukey:)*
i sigh a little, pulling on a sweatshirt and tying my messy hair up in a loose bun. i press "accept."
"sky."
his voice causes butterflies to erupt in my stomach.
"h-hi.."
his blonde hair is flat and sticks up a little bit, his blue eyes look tired. but he smiles.
"what's wrong beautiful?"
aghjdkjhajkfdjh.
"nothing. i'm fine." i flash a smile, fumbling with my sweatshirt sleeves.
"you look pale."
"i'm naturally pale.."
"you look really really sick sky, what are you hiding?"
his soft voice is filled with concern.
"i-i, nothing. i'm fine i promise. id tell you if something was wrong..."
he sighs heavily.
"Alright skylar. keep that promise, alright? i just wanted to check in."
i smile.
"your panic! tickets are on their way, f.y.i" he grins cheekily.
"you actually bought them?!"
"duh. i promised you. promises are meant to be kept, sky."
we talk for a few more minutes before he falls asleep on his keyboard.
"goodnight lucas," i chuckle, clicking "end call".
his words are stuck in my head.
"promises are meant to be kept..."
i guess i'll have to make an exception.
