Also huge thanks to all those that sent me an ANBU so Rin can have some friends haha I have chose my top 3 which will be featured first and are technically already featured in this chapter just not by name. So once I give them their names then I will also add their creators :)
To those that are not in the initial features don't worry! You will more likely be featured later in book 4. Again I only have four chapters left to work with so there is little flexibility right now. I do want to try and get more in depth with the ANBU since we saw very little of them in show other than as background. So don't worry! Your characters will be used :)
One last thing and that is if anyone has featured Rin in your story please tell me. I'm trying to put all the books she is featured in under a Reading List (featuring Rin) so all my readers can find them easier.

Shikamaru
News spread quickly and with Rin as the new head of the Uchiha clan I suddenly felt very watched. I still hadn't managed to speak with her. She has been busy leading the relocation of the Hyuga clan and some of the villagers into the compound. Somehow, if possible, she had gotten busier than before. I stepped into the compound, the streets were busy as people moved into their temporary homes. I sifted through the crowd making my way to the head house.
"I understand you need to protect your family but the villagers are no threat, we've already placed Hyuga guards along the perimeter of the compound. Right now we need to focus our efforts into getting everyone settled" I heard Rin's voice before I saw her. She was surrounded by a few Hyuga clansmen as well as two ANBU.
"Lord Hiashi and his family are settled in the safest part of the compound, right now we need you aiding Neji in the east wing and Lady Hanabi in the south understood?" She asked the men and they nodded.
"Right away Lady Rin" They bowed before rushing off. I approached her and noticed the taller ANBU step forward only for Rin to stop them.
"This is Shikamaru Nara, and he's not a threat" Rin introduced quickly.
"Can never be too careful, someone always wants your head" They replied and I realized it was girl. Rin rolled her eyes.
"Shikamaru this is..." The shorter ANBU bumped Rin's back and Rin sighed.
"Sorry, classified, right. Well these are some of my ANBU friends" She corrected.
"Nice to meet you" I replied a little confused seeing as they only knew my name.
"So how's the move in going?" I asked.
"Smoothly, I think. I still feel weird giving people orders but the Hyuga as well as the Nobel clans have been a great help" She replied and I nodded slightly.
"How are things out there?" She asked.
"Captain Yamato is back so he and Jazmine are using their wood ninjutsu to help speed up the building process and..."
"Lady Rin!" Her attention was immediately taken elsewhere as another ANBU approached. This one was surprisingly tall for the feminine voice that followed.
"What is it?" She asked.
"Ninja from Kumogakure have arrived, they are with Lord Danzo as we speak discussing Sasuke" Rin nodded.
"Alright I better head over there"
"You'll need a guard Rin" The ANBU replied and Rin sighed.
"I know but I can't use any of you. Danzo would see it as insubortination putting you all in danger." She replied.
"I need you three to make yourselves scarce, and then I'll need Neji and..."
"I'll go" Rin glanced at me almost seeming surprised I was still there.
"Shikamaru..."
"You need at least two gaurds and you need them to be from a Nobel or High clans, my Dad supports you fully already. It won't be an issue, it'll just be strengthening our alliance" I reminded and Rin nodded.
"Alright, fine you're right."
"Lady Rin what's going on?" Rin turned as Neji approached. She stopped him from bowing.
"We're friends stop doing that, I already told you it weirds me out" She replied and Neji rolled his eyes.
"Well whats going on?"
"I need to speak with Danzo and I need another guard" Neji nodded in confirmation before RIn turned to her ANBU friends.
"Please tell Lady Hinabi to run the relocation until I return, then get out of here got it?" The three of them nodded before taking off and Rin released a slow breath.
"Alright" She said, finally speaking to Neji and I.
"Let's go"
Kakashi
Both Sakura and Naruto were against the thought of Danzo claiming the title of Hokage, regardless if it was temporary or not. Danzo could still do a lot of damage in the time from now to whenever Lady Tsunade woke. Right now we were heading to the Uchiha Compound to see if Rin needed any extra hands in her relocation efforts.
"Hey!" The three of us paused, turning as Kiba and Akamaru ran towards us. They slid to a stop in front of us and the worried look on Kiba's face made my stomach drop.
"Kiba, whats wrong?" Sakura asked.
"Listen up, and just stay calm." He started.
"The Sixth Hokage has declared Sasuke a rogue ninja and approved his elimination"
"W-Wait just what to do you mean by that?" Naruto was quick to demand.
"I don't know; I'm just telling you what I heard" Kiba replied.
"It means they can't wait for Lady Tsunade to recover. Sasuke is a rogue shinobi and this is standard procedure, it's only because of Lady Tsunade that he's been allowed to live this long" I explained.
"Well then, I'm going to talk to Danzo" Sakura replied defiantly and I caught her shoulder before she could walk off.
"Sakura wait, storming into his office isn't going to solve anything."
"How dare they do this when Lady Tsunade is unconscious and what about Sasuke you can't just expect me to keep quiet!" She argued.
"Then I'm going with you too" Naruto replied.
"Calm down both of you!" I ordered.
"And how are we supposed to stay calm, I won't let them go after Sasuke!" I caught Naruto's wrist when he turned.
"That's the thing, he can't" I replied and could see their confusion.
"W-What do you mean?"
"Even if he's approved it, it's not official till he has Rin's cooperation" I explained.
"Why does Rin matter?" Naruto asked.
"Beause she's been recognized as the head of the Uchiha clan" Sakura realized and I nodded.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Naruto argued, still steaming.
"Naruto, in times of crises to lessen the responsibilities of the Hokage and Village those belonging to High and Nobel clans fall under their Heads jurisdiction. The Uchiha are a High clan of Konoha" I explained.
"S-So Sasuke becomes Rin's problem" He replied and I nodded.
"If they make a move against Sasuke without Rin's approval then it becomes an attack against the Uchiha and whoever has allied with them."
"But Danzo has already approved it" Kiba pointed out and I nodded.
"Well I'm sure Rin will put a stop to that"
"Do you think she knows?" Sakura asked and I nodded slightly as we switched direction.
"Yes, Rin has friends in the ANBU, many who trust her more than they trust Danzo. If she's already there, then we should head back" I replied.
"Do you think he'll listen to her?" Naruto asked and I sighed.
"It's hard to tell" I admitted. With the amount of support Rin's managed to rally from the village and other clans Danzo may not have much of a choice. But this was also Danzo we we're talking about, he wants power and he'll eliminate anyone that's get in the way of that.
Rin
I walked to Lady Tsunade's tent unsurprised to find root ANBU waiting outside. They tensed as I got closer and rose their arms blocking the door.
"We can't allow you to..."
"I believe concerns are being expressed about my clan that I should be present for" I interrupted.
"Lord Danzo..."
"Isn't doing a very good job as Hokage seeing as I wasn't immidiatly contacted when the matter arose, I am the Head of the Uchiha clan and I order you to stand down" I knew they could hear the threat in my voice and it didn't take long for them to stand aside.
"Also, next time you will bow and address me as Lady Rin is that understood?" I demanded and they nodded quickly as I passed them. I heard Shikamaru chuckle as he leaned close to my ear.
"Pretty sure you almost made one of them pee their pants" I smirked slightly but let it fade as soon as I saw Danzo. Three Cloud Ninja were with him along with Shizune and Lady Tsunade still in her cot.
"Rin, what a..."
"You'll address the Head of the Uchiha as Lady" Neji said quickly and Danzo hid his distaste with a forced chuckle.
"Of course, my mistake. Lady Rin, I was not expecting you" He started.
"It would do you good to teach your ANBU some manners as well as yourself, however this time I will let this disrespect slide" I replied firmly.
"As for you" I continued turning to the tree Cloud Ninja. I could tell the blonde was the leader, just in the way she stood.
"It's come to my attention you wish discuss a member of my clan but for some reason have neglected to contact me directly. This will not tip your request in your favour" I started.
"Your Hokage..."
"Should know better and understand the old laws. The village is in crises, his attentions are needed elsewhere and therefore those belonging to High or Nobel Clans fall under the rule of their clans Head. Sasuke Uchiha is under my jurisdiction" I explained, emphasizing the Uchiha.
"So I suggest you check the attitude at the door and take a minute to realize whose presence your in" It fell silent. Part of me began to think I was pushing it, but I didn't know how else to act. I needed them to realize I meant business and I had seen my father do this many times. It was all in your stance, in your directness, it all needed to scream authority. Lord Hiashi had said the same, that even my presence needed to say power and prestige. So I kept my face set in the same expression as they stooped into a bow.
"My apologies Lady Rin, we had no idea that the Uchiha Clan had named a new head. We meant no disrespect" The blonde woman replied as she and her team stood straight. I almost wanted to sigh in relief that it had worked but remained still and poised.
"My name is Samui, this is Karui and Darui we come from Kumogakure with a message from our Raikage" She replied. I noticed her glance to Danzo who reluctantly withdrew a letter from his cloak and offered it to me. I took it from his hand and unfolded it reading it over.
"So, my brother has defeated the Raikage's brother" I muttered. I didn't expect a jinchuriki to be tied to someone with so much influence over a village.
"I'm sure you understand the situation Lady Rin, and your Hokage has already agreed to the letters requests" Samui replied. I glanced at Danzo.
"Has he?" I asked as I folded the letter.
"You see Samui without my approval Lord Danzo's agreement means nothing." I started.
"I understand that you were unaware of my newly appointed status but our Hokage was not, he purposely neglected to request my presence or send for my approval. Therefore he has insulted not only my clan but the other clans that have acknowledged my status and myself as well" I continued.
"Since Lord Danzo has refused to acknowledge my title then I'm afraid your request has been denied. Sasuke Uchiha's rogue status and elimination have been withdrawn"
"But Lady Rin he..."
"It was cloud ninja wasn't it, that attempted a kidnapping on lady Hinata?" I replied and Samui fell silent.
"You'll find that I'm trying to rebuild my alliance with the Hyuga so doing business with you wouldn't be in my best interest and yes I do find my relationship with the Hyuga clan more valuable than your or your Kage" I said shortly.
"Now if you'll excuse me..."
"Lady Rin!" I was somewhat surprised at Danzo's outburst.
"You cannot allow your brother to run ramped" He argued.
"I never said I would, I only said I wouldn't grant their request to eliminate him" I replied calmly and they all fell silent.
"If anyone will kill my brother it will be me. I will deal with Sasuke personally and you will all stand down. That is all I have left to say on the matter" I finished firmly.
"I am Hokage, I can change the laws" I could hear the threat in Danzo's voice and feel the sudden tension in the room as I glanced at him. I noticed Shizune's nervous glances between Danzo and I so I smiled as sweetly as I could.
"Lord Danzo, to change your laws for your own personal gain would be unethical. It would be a shame if the village were to learn how easy you find it to massacre them, at least now when your power is so new and easily broken?" Danzo met my gaze and I smirked. I knew he heard the emphasis on massacre, I knew he understood my threat. He was trapped and I also knew backing him into a corner only put me in more danger but at this point I had stopped caring.
"Of course not Lady Rin, my words were poorly chosen. I did not mean to imply a threat against you or your clan" He replied smoothly.
"Very well, my mistake. Now I must return to the compound, I trust no further actions will be taken against Sasuke?" I asked glancing at the others and they nodded.
"Excellent, it's been a pleasure. Neji, Shikamaru" They followed me as I left the tent. I waited till we got farther from the tent and turned a corner before I released a huge sigh. It felt like I had been holding my breath the entire time.
"Man that was nerve-wracking" I managed, almost laughing at it all.
"You are definitely your father's daughter" Neji replied and I chuckled.
"You didn't think it was too much?" I asked him and he shook his head.
"I've seen my Uncle punish people for less, you did well Rin" He complimented and I grinned.
"Yeah, you had me scared. I was even standing straighter than usual." Shikamaru added and I rolled my eyes as I took his hand.
"I thought I was overdoing it"
"Well Danzo won't be happy" Shikamaru pointed out.
"Neither will those cloud ninja, I don't think this is last we've seen them" Neji agreed.
"And word will spread, Danzo will try to get the village on his side"
"They will already have their answer, Sasuke is an Uchiha" I reminded.
"He's my problem and I'll deal with it when the times come"
"You plan to kill Sasuke?" Shikamaru asked and I could hear the disbelief in his voice.
"If I have to then yes, but no one else will lay a hand on my brother before I do" I answered firmly.
"Rin!" We paused as Naruto, Sakura and Kakashi ran towards us.
"Did you speak with Danzo?" Naruto blurted out and I nodded.
"Yes, it's been dealt with and that's all I'll say right now" I replied.
"So, so Sasuke is safe?" Sakura asked.
"In a sense" I could tell they were confused by my response and noticed Kakashi's glance. I nodded slightly.
"Neji you can head back to the compound, update Lord Hiashi on the meeting I just had with Danzo."
"Where are you going?" He asked.
"I need to have a word with Rin" Kakashi chimed in.
"Lady Rin" Shikamaru said suddenly I raised my eyebrow. Shikamaru shrugged and Kakashi just seemed confused.
"Uh yeah Lady Rin" He corrected. I resisted rolling my eyes as I glanced at Shikamaru.
"I wanted to talk" He reminded.
"I know, and I'm sorry but this is important. Maybe we can have dinner together later?" I asked and he smiled slightly.
"Yeah sure, I don't mind. I know you're busy" He replied. I smiled in return as I pressed my lips briefly against his.
"Thank you Shika, I'll make it up to you I swear" He nodded and kissed my cheek.
"I'll see you later"

Kakashi
I kept with Rin's sauntering pace as we walked in the direction of the compound. She was in her regular gear instead of ANBU, probably to show her distance from Danzo.
"How'd your meeting go?" I finally asked and she shrugged.
"Neji thought I did great, Shikamaru..." She paused a second and I noticed the corner of her lip frown slightly.
"Well Shikamaru will tell me how he really thinks it went at dinner later" She muttered.
"Okay, but that still doesn't answer how you think it went" I replied, pressing the question and she sighed.
"Good I think, but the cloud Ninja didn't seem overly pleased" She replied and I nodded slightly.
"Why did they request Sasuke's elimination?" I asked and she sighed.
"You know how I said Sasuke took on the eight tails?" She questioned and I nodded.
"Well the eight tails jinchuriki is the Raikage's brother" She explained briefly.
"Yeah that would do it" I muttered.
"You may have made a powerful enemy Rin"
"You'll find I care very little about my enemies Kakashi" She replied and I chuckled slightly.
"I know, how did Danzo react?" I questioned and she sighed.
"To say the least he wasn't all to happy. I don't think he expected me to challenge him so soon, but I need him to know I'm not fooling around. The Uchiha will be great again and it will be under my leadership and protection. If he wants my cooperation he needs to respect that" She said firmly and I nodded in agreement. It was true, much of a Kage's strength was also determined by the amount of kekkei genkai that were under his village. Rin may only be one Uchiha but that was still one more than anyone else had.
"So what are your intentions for Sasuke? You said you would deal with him, I'm assuming you told those clouds ninja and Danzo the same" I replied and she stopped walking for a moment, lost in her thoughts before we continued on.
"I don't know" She admitted.
"I told them I would kill him if I had too but I don't even know if I can. I mean I couldn't kill him to save Itachi and that was Itachi. If Danzo goes against my word, then I have much less of a problem allowing him to die"
"But Sasuke's behaviour now no longer reflects badly solely on the Uchiha. I know you can deal with a bad reputation but you're trying to rebuild alliances with other clans, they won't feel as strongly as you do about Sasuke." I reminded and she nodded as we fell into another silence. Rin was beginning to learn, quickly, that being the head of the clan was more than just a title. It required certain actions that weren't always favourable. Though, to be honest, even I wasn't sure what to advise her in regards to Sasuke.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked, breaking the silence before it became unsettling. Rin glanced at me, seeming hesitant at first.
"How much easier it would be if I could hold onto the hate the same way Sasuke does" She replied.
"I mean I told him I hated him but it's been months, hate is exhausting."
"So you don't hate him anymore?" I asked and she shrugged.
"Honestly, I don't think I ever did. I was just angry and disappointed, and I still am. Though I doubt after our disagreement and taking his title he'd be willing to make amends" She admitted.
"You've always had a strange but good effect on Sasuke" I reminded.
"Can you tell Sasuke that?" She asked and I chuckled.
"I think he knows, he's probably just as angry as you. He heard the same story you did, and you've left him more than once Rin. From his point of view, you've hurt him just as much as he's hurt you"
"I never tried to kill him" She objected and I shrugged slightly.
"Well Sasuke's never been the greatest at expressing emotion" I admitted.
"Lady Rin, you've returned! Lord Hiashi would like a word." We both paused at the compound gates, two Hyuga gaurds were keeping watch. Rin nodded slightly and glanced at me.
"You should probably get going" I told her. I was about to walk way when she caught my wrist and pulled me into a tight hug. I was a little alarmed and I noticed the guards shift their attention as I hugged her back.
"If I go after Sasuke will you come with me?" She said it barely in a whisper as she leaned close to my ear. Her breath made the the hair on the back of my neck stand straight.
"Yes" I replied just as quietly. I was somewhat embarrassed by the quickness of my response but Rin didn't seem to notice as she released the hug. She smiled up at me.
"I'll see you later?" She questioned and I nodded slowly. She mouthed a thank you before turning to the guards. She gave a lazy wave behind her before she disappeared into the crowd behind the gates. I glanced at the guards who seemed confused and merely smiled before turning back towards the village. I felt Sasuke was my responsibility, and in all honesty I had intended to go after him myself. Having Rin on my side only confirmed that something needed to be done and put me at ease on the decisions I had made. Only now wether Sasuke lived or died would be left to Rin and for once I had no idea what was going on in her head. I could only hope that she came to her decision quickly.
