She threw her school bag near the barn and jumped aboard her chestnut pony whom stood proudly insight of the boy.
"Come on River! I'll race you there!" She giggled throwing a riding helmet at the boy who stood narrowing his onyx eyes at the cocky girl on the horse.
"Race me!" "I'm too fast for you" He threatened mounting the midnight coloured horse who snuffed at the sight of his rider.
The girl who simply threw her head with a careless laugh, kicked the side of the horse sending it running leaving nothing but dust in the wake of the boy whom followed her behind.
