As I've said in the description, this is horrible and unedited and written five years ago, so please understand. It is also discontinued, but you can read what's here even if it's not much. Check out Into the Void, a shared project on a shared account @StarCatching. It's one of the best and longest things I've written so far, approaching fifty thousand words! The length of a novel! Check it out, please. It would be really great... I'll give you a cookie... And a hug... And maybe a shout out or dedication if you're dedicated with it... Into the Void, people...

Wow. Mother's tools had really brought back a flood of memories. I turned away from the stirring figure on the table, a lonely tear tracing a path down my cheek. When he raised his head hesitantly, I wiped it away and forced my face into an unreadable mask before I walked over.
He stared at me for a moment before shaking his bedraggled head in wonder.
"You look so much like her," he whispered, leaning forwards, straining to reach me with his bloody hand. Long, spidery fingers brushed my cheek, and at once I knew what clever tricks and traps these hands had crafted. His icy blue eyes pierced my amber ones, and we stayed like that for a long moment before I broke away, uncomfortable, and cleared my throat.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" he appeared concerned and alarmed in the same expression.

"I - uhhh -" I stammered helplessly. "No reason."

Hardening his gaze, he looked deeper into me, sensing my discomfort.

"You know me." It wasn't a question. He knew, and I knew. But he didn't know of my dreams. Did he?

"You should really try harder to mask your emotions." He smirked with malice and I drew back, taking a step away from him.

"If you wanna be like that, I can just toss you back outside and you can go back to where you came from and bleed to death." It was my turn to smile, though only for a moment before it was wiped off of my face again.

"I don't think you want to do that," he said with an unrecognizable emotion etched onto his face, and into his voice. "You see, I come bringing news."

"What?" I snapped, irritated but mildly curious.

He hesitated, paused for a moment, but sensing my annoyance, signed inwardly.

"Did you know that you had a sister?"
