I'm having a hard time concentrating on my paper. It's been three hours and all I've written are a few sentences.
I look at my friend. Her fingers dance over the keyboard creating a fast-paced rhythm.
I'm jealous.
The words flow for her. Why won't they flow for me?
She pauses for a second and looks at me. "Hey, I'm almost done. Want to get some food?"
I'm not hungry. I never am. I know I'm losing weight. My skinny jeans are baggy, my bra a cup size too big. The only thing I like is lemon and honey tea. The honey soothes me and the lemon...well, the lemon feels clean.
I like feeling clean.
