I was sore.
I couldn't walk.
I lay in bed covered in salty tears.
I felt disgusting. I felt sick. I felt used. I felt hurt. I felt mortified.
"Heaven, are you alright? I got a call from the school, you weren't there." My aunts voice rang from the outside of the door.
I cleared my throat and wiped away a few tears.
"I didn't feel too great so I stayed home." I answered stiffly.
"Ok. Just call me or your cousin Rose if you need anything." She retorted.
I sighed and touched my neck where the sickly yellow bruises were beginning to fade.
I shivered thinking back to last week. I really thought I'd die being choked to death.
And for some reason, I didn't even care anymore.
