Nicole's P.O.V.
"You've got to be kidding me", I asked eyeing Nial giving him my best death glare.
"I guess I'm not. But we'll have fun here for sure", he said.
"This isn't funny. You very well know that I hate rides then why had you brought me here in this amusement park?", I asked.
"Trust me, you'll have fun", he again said trying to hold my hand but I step back.
"You wish Nial. I can't even see these near death experience rides, I'm so not going here", I said and again sat back in the car.
He sighed and entered back in the car. He looked at me with complaints but I hardly care, I cannot and can never ever face these stupid rides for anyone, Anyone!!
If in my life, I would ever dare to sit on these rides for anyone then understand that that person means a lot to me, and at present no person is that special to me, not even Nial. He's someone's else possession.
"Where do you want to go then?", He asked.
"Somewhere which is peaceful and quiet. So, that we can talk. I can't imagine you would bring me here", I said folding my arms.
"You're mood spoiler", he grumbled.
"I took it as a compliment. Thanks", I replied.
"Ya why not? Miss Angry girl", he said and I stare at him surprised. I'm sure my eyes would've been as big as a ball.
"What did you say?", I asked.
"Nothing. Why are you so pissed?", He replied.
Isn't Lone boy said me Angry girl? Is Nial the lone boy? I thought.
Shutup girl, he's just saying it casually. Get a life Cole, My heart said.
"Nothing. I'm fine", I said and looked outside the window noticing the trees passing by and leaves waving in the air.
Weather outside was matching with the emotions inside me. Intense and cold. The sky was turing dark and it was about to rain. This pleasant wether will soon turn into a muddy mess.
I don't like rain. For me it's a sign of despair. As if sky is crying and letting go all it's tears and the roads just drenched in water as a result. It's of no use when it rains, our clothes get wet and muddy and we just look like a zombie. I hate rain!!
It makes you feel alone and sad. I'm feeling same now. If I think now then I don't have anyone to share my feelings with actually. I don't have any lover who would loves me like as seen in the movies. They're fantasy, I know still I can hope to get that once in a life time.
Soon, the car stopped and I saw Nial had brought me to a coffee shop which is outside the town. But, it's okay. I can go anywhere for coffee.
We entered and occupied a seat and he went to order coffee for us. I noticed everyone around me looking all happy and in love. Most of the crowd was filled with love birds, hands in hands and looking into each other eyes.
Sigh!!
"Here", Nial said passing me my cup and I thanked him.
"So, liking the place?", He asked.
"Yes, it's far better than that noisy and crowded place", I said.
"It's a pleasant wether. It's about to rain anytime", he said whilst looking outside the window.
"Yes it's about to rain. I don't like it", I replied.
"What? You don't like rain?", He chuckled and I shook my head in Yes.
"You're hopeless Cole. Rain is the most romantic weather and girls love it", he said as if he'd done masters in girl's likes and dislikes.
He had a girlfriend after all, my mind said.
"I'm not pluviophile like you and there's no love in my life so why should I consider it as a romantic weather?", I asked.
"Okay, don't fight please", he said and I just remained quiet and sipped my coffee.
But one thing is not clear to me!! Why am I angry from him? Am I expecting him to say sorry? But why would he be?
He didn't gave me any false hopes, it was me who fall for him. Why am I so pissed? What's the matter? Somebody please tell me!!
"I'm sorry, I guess I've my bad day today. I don't know why am I angry?", I said after a pause.
"It's okay. You don't have to be sorry. So, tell me what's new going on in your life?", Nial asked.
"Same old life, you tell anything new?", I asked.
He smiled a bit, more like smile he was blushing. Wow, sure he love his girlfriend a lot. Don't be jealous, it's okay.
"I also have same old life but I guess that I'm in love", he replied with his eyes shining.
"Really? Whose she?", I asked showing my best fake smile face.
It's actually tough to smile and show it to be a real one when you're pissed inside, trust me!!
"You'll get to know very soon. I'm planing to propose her actually", he said.
Why will he propose her? Is he deciding to marry Kate??
"That's that's a good news. Whose the lucky girl?", I said.
"I can't tell you now but you'll get to know soon", he said with a wink and I passed him a smile.
"Umm, Nial can I ask you something?", I asked.
"Yes, anything you want to ask you can ask", he said.
"Why do you hate Austin and his group?', I asked noticing his expression closely.
"This is something personal Cole", he replied and I could notice his expressions stiffened.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I just.. It's okay, if you don't want to tell", I replied.
Does it means Ellie's right? Is Nial actually the sole reason behind Austin's turning into a bad boy? I guess I should stay out of all this or else it wouldn't be good for me.
After finishing our coffee, we both came out and the whole drive was silent. I was not interested in talking to Nial and we don't have any topic to discuss also.
When you're comfortable with someone, you don't need any topic to talk, you can talk on any topic. I'm confused how to feel around Nial!! I can't even find a suitable topic to start the conversation, wierd!!
He stopped the car at a good distance from my home. I looked at him and envision he was looking at me only.
"Can I walk you home?", He asked.
"Yeah sure", I replied.
We came out of the car and started walking but taking small steps, actually very small steps. I bet even a snail would walk faster okay, not snail but a turtle.
I hugged my body with both my hands and he kept his hands in his jeans pocket and was kicking an invisible stone on the ground, with his eyes fixed to the floor.
"We were best friends, you see friends for life kinda friendship, that one we used to have", he started speaking breaking the silence and I stare at him quietly. He was avoiding eye contact with me but that's okay.
"Me, Austin, Rian and rest we all were the most popular group of our school Autin used to be our group leader and I never had any problem with that", He spoke.
"But you see things change when we all grow up. Change is nature of growing up. With time, I started pointing out Austin because he used to bully students which was not acceptable to me. But rest of the group tried to defend him always, so I decided to stay away from them", he kept on saying with his eyes on ground and my eyes not leaving his face for even a second.
This is a complete different story!!
"Differences between us started deepening and we both separate later. Other people of the group started making false statements on me, but I know that I was right and I don't care about anyone's view. I always thought that Austin knew me at least but he didn't. And then one day, something happened which I can't tell you because I don't know how would you react. I was innocent, I was tricked in the whole process but they didn't believed me", he said and then he looked into my eyes and I could see pain in his eyes. My heart churned inside.
"They blamed me for everything but someone's else in that group was the game planner and I couldn't find out that one bastard. I hate them for making my life pathetic. I was so depressed after that day, that my parents sent me to the rehabilitation centre, I left this place for three years and when I came back I decided to move ahead. That's why I always ask you to stay away from them, they're not good people", he said and holds my hand.
We were at my door step only but I couldn't take off my eyes from his face. My heart witnessed that Nial was actually innocent. Like Austin, he had also suffered a lot. He was also the victim but they don't even know. There is a big misunderstanding which no one tried to resolve ever.
"I'm sorry", I replied.
"Why are you saying sorry? I'm thankful that you asked, I'm feeling happy actually to share it with you", he said with a smile and I just passed a smile.
I couldn't say him that I'm sorry because I judged him wrong. I couldn't apologise for hating him for no reason. But I need to find out what exactly happened. Proving Nial innocent is important for me now.
I know he doesn't feel same for me, he don't like me more than a friend but because I'm his friend, supporting him is my duty.
"I trust you Nial", I said holding his hands back and he hugged me saying thanks.
I hate to admit that my heart do skip a beat being so close to him. I wanted to move on but I need time, I guess.
"I'm glad that you understood, you're a true friend", he said and kissed my cheeks turning my cheeks all red. His lips were so soft on my skin that it makes me carve for more.
My heartbeat increased and I tried to remain unaffected but all in vain. My breath was uneven, why do he need to do this?
"Bie Nial. I'll meet you tomorrow", I said and turned and entered the house without daring to look back.
I came to my room and looked myself in the mirror. I was blushing, I've all the right to. I've been kissed by my crush, although on cheeks but it harldy matters. A kiss is a kiss!!
I lay on my bed, sleep far far away from my eyes. My mobile rang in the mean time with a message tone. I swiped open it, it was from Cali.
"Hey Cole, I'm coming tomorrow. Missed you a lot babe".
My smile turned into a grin. Today is actually a good day. I heard pattering of rain outside, I closed the window to prevent the water droplets entering my room. I still don't like Rain.

Next day, I woke up late because I slept late all because of Nial and his dreams. I would take a lot of time to move on from Nial.
I decided to dress myself good today, so I took my time. I wore a blue tank top with a black jacket and wearing my legging with my boots, I was all ready for the college. I left my hair open.
I reached the college and went straight to the locker. There were two letters, I took both of them excitedly and felt a little sorry for not taking out the letter yesterday.
I kept both the letters in my bag and moved out of the library. My mobile rang and it was from Cali. A smile spread on my face as I picked it up.
"Hello", I said.
"I'm waiting for you in the parking", she said and hung up. I moved to the parking lot and as soon as she saw me she ran towards me.
"Cole, I missed you so much", she engulfed me into a tight hug.
"And I miss you more", I said hugging her back.
"Let's go", she said whilst holding my hand.
"Where?", I asked.
"Surprise", she said.
"Let's go then, what are we waiting for?", I said and we both sat in the car before she started the car.
Finally Cali is here!!
