Later that Night
I walked up the steps placing my key in the door. I unlocked the door stepping inside it was freezing outside, to be the middle of march it sure didn't feel like it. I laid my body against the door for a second closing my eyes just thinking about how the date went. It was great nothing but good energy and I was feeling it. I slowly opened my eyes to see my whole table covered with flowers and edible arangments. I laughed walking towards the table. I picked up the first bouquet smelling them. I looked down at the card. Opening it "For you my baby" -Chres.
"So how was the date? I turned around viewing Noni holding Sanaa. "The date went well, really well. How did these get here? I asked taking a bite of a pineapple slice. "A flower lady came with them and told me they were for you and then edible arrangements came next" she explained. "This is really nice" I smiled. I then looked over at my sleeping baby. I took her from Noni "I'm sorry Noni I feel like I'm using you sometimes. I know you want to go home to your husband and kids" I said
"Girl it's fine if I couldn't I would've told you plus our men are working its only 9:30" she said. "So was he kissing your ass the whole night, don't you just get a kick out of it" she said. I began laughing as I walked Sanaa to her bed. She followed me "Actually it was to a minimum, if anything he was eye fucking me all night" I said.
"Well at least he didn't try to press up on you or did he? She asked" We walked to my room. "No but he was just being a real smooth talker and I can't lie. He's good at that" I said taking my earrings off.
"Sooo is there a possibility that there's a relationship coming back? She asked. "He did mention us being together but not right now. We can't just jump back in it like that. I don't know I'm just not ready, we just got cool again" I explained.
"I definitely feel you well at least this is a start" she smiled. "Did he kiss you? She asked.
"Surprisingly not, he did lick some whip cream off my thigh. Some of my dessert fell on my dress and thigh and he licked it off " I said. "Ummm someone's nasty" she laughed.
"Very"
"I'll give you guys 5 months max" she said.
"5 months until what? I said
"Baby number 2" she said. "No I can't, it would be wrong" I said. "Don't even think about that, I just know once ya'll get back on super duper good terms its gonna be poppin" she said. I was staring at Noni she's changed over the years she's not super duper conservative like she used to be. I guess she got her wings and is more in touch with her sexuality now because all she talks about is sex. At least I know her and Jacob are in a great place and she's confident.
My phone lit up and it was Chres. I quickly answered it placing it on speaker.
"Hello" I said
"Hey boo" he said
"Hi, I umm got your flowers they're pretty. Thankyou" I said.
"You're welcome love, I was just checking to see if you got in safely" he said. "Yeah I'm in here" I said
"How's princess? He asked. "Your princess is fine she's getting all of the sleep in the world" I laughed. "Because she's a busy bee but I wanted to know if you could stop by the club tomorrow" He asked.
"For what? I asked.
"Don't worry about it, just show up please" he said. I rolled my eyes I figured he had something nice up his sleeve or something and I was taking it all in.
"Fine, I'll come by" I said.
"Great! I'll see you tomorrow " he said
"Alright bye"
The Next Day
I was in rehearsals practicing for Noni and Jacob's wedding anniversary that's happening in a few weeks. I know she said she didn't need a band but how else was I suppose to sing from a karaoke machine or something. My music instructor Lyrica has been training me. She's also on love and hip-hop but Los Angeles. She does background vocals for and writes songs for everyone in the industry. So I knew I was in good hands. I was struggling a little bit every time; I would sing she would stop to intervene or say my note was off. I've never been good with constructive criticism and take offense to everything but I'm working on it. Noni wanted me to sing 1+1 by Beyoncé and because I love her dearly I was willing to do it. I just knew I couldn't fuck up I'm being watched everyone has smart phones one mistake and I'm dragged through the mud on the shade room.

"Lyrica" I yelled. "What? You're not giving me that ump your giving me a 70 percent right now I need you at 100" she said. I don't know what was going on but I just started to get teary eyed.
"Honey what's going on? She asked sitting me down. "I don't know" I said wiping my eyes. "It's something going on" she said lifting her brow. "I'm just stressed that's all. You know my ex been through some things. I ended up getting pregnant then I had an abortion then I left town for a while then he follows me home apologizes and were working our way to good terms so I don't know why I can't stop crying" I said
"Is it the abortion? She asked.
"I don't know .. Maybe" I said blowing my nose. "Hmm is he around like do you two live together? I asked.
"No we haven't lived together for years even after this fallout we have our separate homes. " I said
"Does he want you to move back in with him or do you want to??
"Yeah he wants me to but I won't. I don't think it will help. There's so much damage that has to be fixed, It'll just be unhealthy and I can't endure another heartbreak" I explained
"I think you miss him badly but your pride wont show it. Your scared that things will go bad again and honestly girl if you miss home go home. Seems like your going with your mind and not your heart" she said.
"Well last time I used my heart and not my mind and ended up being heartbroken so I don't know" I sobbed.
"I feel you, just try not to be build that wall up completely" she said. She was right I do miss Chres a little but I know I go home to him all were going to do is have sex and nothing will be resolved. That's what happened before and look where it got us.

"So how was the date my nigga? Jacob asked. "Mann it was good, good energy" I said. "That's good ya'll get it poppin? He asked. "Nah man it wasnt that kind of party. She looked good though, so fucking good the dress was hugging those curves that I gave her. Lawd have mercy" I said
"Damn your backed up aint you? He laughed. I laughed "Backed up aint the word, I just know sooner or later Imma come handle that" I said.
"Well the rate you going that sounds like never" he laughed. "Don't do too much talking you was in the dog house for a damn century." I said. "Damn you gon do me like that bro" he laughed.
"Yup" I said sitting behind my desk. We had another event we were planning called All stars' weekend. We were trying to book everyone Young Ma Dave East, Cardi B all the New York rappers. I heard heels walk in as I looked up. Blake walked in looking good as usual. I was beginning to think she was doing this on purpose wearing tight dresses to see me.
"Hey" she said walking in. "Hey momma" I said watching her sit across from me. I bit my lip watching her dig in her bag. She had red lipstick on with one of my favorite fragrances on. Why did she had to do this to me? I was being tortured "So waassup" she said.
"Nothing much... I asked you to come here because I wanted to know If we could book you to host at Ice Lounge" I said.
"Of course you'll get paid, because you didn't come to the anniversary event a lot of people were disappointed and wanted you there so I thought you could make it up" I explained. I looked at her facial expression and I could already tell there was a problem
She squinted her eyes crossing her arms. "No" she said sternly. "What why? I asked. "I told you I'm done hosting. I'm done with that environment" she argued.
"Come on please we'll all be benefitting for this" I said. "No I'll get paid about 4 -5grand to host while you still get 50% of the proceeds from that club. You want the money.... Don't bullshit me I'm not stupid" she said getting up.
"I didn't say you were. Look Jamal asked I thought it was a good idea" I said getting up.
"Is this why you took me out on the date yesterday? And spoil me with the flowers? She asked
"No I took you out because it was well needed and to show how sorry I was and to show my appreciation. Not to get what I want" I explained
"Sorry Chres but I can't do it" I said trying to walk to my car but he stopped me. "Come on Blake please you went MIA people miss you. It would help us so much" he begged. I began to get a little annoyed all he's worried is this club.
"NO" She yelled. "So I can cut again or get in a fight. You do remember this shit right?
She yelled pulling her back showing the cut.
I looked at it feeling bad all over again that day was the worst day ever.

I was so mad all over again all he thinks about is this club. The club this, the club that but what about me? What about Sanaa? He breathes those clubs.
"The answer is no I outgrew it" I said. "Your so damn worried about money you not even worried about my mental health. You don't even know that I be having anxiety attacks every morning before I get up and its hard" I said trying to calm down I didn't want another screaming match.
"I've been physically and emotionally going through hell. I could care less about hosting right now" I said beginning to cry. I became a cry baby and I hate it. I turned my head to the side so he wouldn't see me.
He pulled me by my waist "Baby don't cry I'm sorry"he said turning me towards him. He removed my hands from my face leaning his head against mine. "I do care for you deeply. I'm sorry, I'm not trying to use you. I was just trying to please my customers that's all" I explained
"Well you act like I'm Beyoncé or something. Like I'm that special, I'm not even Michelle" she sobbed. I looked at her like she was crazy and I was trying not to laugh. I pulled her closer into a hug "Stop crying what are you crying for? I said rubbing her back. Jacob walked by with a confused look. I rolled my eyes giving him the I don't know face. She quickly let go of my grip wiping her tears which was getting a little annoying. I was tired of 5 second hugs and the awkwardness "I need to go" she said
"Alright, well I love you and I'm not mad" I said. She sighed "I love you too" she said. My eyes widened she finally said she loved me back. I was getting a little worried. I walked her to her car watching her slowly walk with her arms crossed. She opened her door but I stopped her again closing the door behind her. "Chres what ar-
I cut her off mid sentence pressing my lips against hers as I held her waist. She hesitated at first but let me in. I missed kissing her soft pink lips I needed to kiss her to reassure her that she was my woman. "Mmm" I groaned. I slowly let go staring in her eyes. "I love you" I said.
"I know you do" she said opening the door. She lowered her windows " We have to stop all of this intimate stuff its just too much for me" she said.
"Why? I asked licking my lips. "Because" she said
"You be fronting on your boy so hard. I know deep down inside you want me to make love to you like no other. Have you on another dimension" I said.
"Goodnight Chres" she said putting her windows up. "Fuck" I said watching her drive off. I quickly called Jamal.
"Yeah Blake's not doing it, its a dead mission bruh" I said I had to think of some more ideas I was win her fully back one way or another. It seems like I need to gain her trust back and to make her comfortable all over again. Literally all over again.
