-Jay's 16th birthday party-
"Happy birthday dear Jayyyy. Happy birthday to you" everyone sang to the birthday boy before he blew out the lit candles on the cake that everyone desperately wanted to eat; mostly Y/N and her 15 year old daughter Azusa. Big appetites must run in the family.
Yoongi saw his wife dangerously eyeing the cake, but luckily over their many years of being married, he's learned to come prepared for these types of situations.
"Jagiya. Y/N." Yoongi said as he tugged on her shirt to try and divert her attention to the him and the little surprise he had in his hands.
She turned around and saw her husband with a bag of gummy worms in his hands. She couldn't help but smile at the sweet gesture and show her thanks by giving him a hug and a kiss.
"Eww. Mom! That's gross" their 14 year old son, who they named after Yoongi's old friend Taeil, cried out in disgust before running off with his best friends, Stacy's 14 year old Sam and Jackie's also 14 year old Jonathan.
What a coincidence that all 3 of those women got pregnant around the same time... Not. Without going into detail, let's just say that there was a night where they all, they all being Stacy, Jin, Yoongi, Y/N, Jimin and Jackie, got really drunk, like really drunk, and decided it would be a good idea to make a bet on who could get their partner pregnant first and whoever didn't would lose and need to forfeit sex for 5 months... *facepalm*... On the bright side none of them lost.
But anyways, back to the birthday party. Everyone was enjoying themselves, eating cake and having pleasant conversations about random topics; food, back pain, more food, the stupid things they did in their young days, and more about food.
The kids, who were basically not kids anymore, were hanging out in the backyard away from all the grown ups... They were in the bouncy house that Jay wanted even though he turned 16.
The twins, Jongsuk and Sora, were 16 also but still 6 months older than Jay.
"Guess I finally caught up, noona." Jay told Sora with a cocky attitude.
"I'm still technically older. Just wait 6 months and you'll be a baby again" she answered back, and Jay rolled his eyes at the word "baby" again. I'll be you're baby if you want me to he perversely thought to himself.
Jay has always been attracted to Sora. In their younger, childhood years he never really thought much of it; he just wanted to be near her and make her happy. But now he wants to make her a different type of happy... If you know what I mean.. Unfortunately Namjoon is a really over protective father and has always hated Sora's past boyfriends which always got Jay a little nervous; uncle Namjoon was a giant and could easily hurt him physically.
"Azusa! Get back here!" Jongsuk yelled as he ran around the bounce house, chasing Azusa who had on a hoodie that clearly wasn't hers and a phone in her hand.
"She's so pretty and nice. I don't know how to confess, especially because she's like a sister to me" Azusa quoted the text messages from the phone in her hand, implying it was Jongsuk's.
When he finally caught up to her he picked her up from behind and started spinning her around -which was something she hated-. "Jongsuk's! Put me down! I'm gonna puke!"
"Give me my phone back!" He ordered
"When you tell me who this chick is" she answered with her eyes closed to try to die down the effects of the constant spinning by the boy who was 2 years older than her. Soon enough, Jongsuk started getting dizzy too and his body basically forced him to put her down.
The other twin and Jay rushed over to help -mostly laugh- but help too.
"You two are way too cute together" the oldest twin -Sora- commented to tease them. These two always acted like a couple but always claimed to be like siblings. Nothing more, nothing less.
Sam, Jonathan and Taeil then came to the group with evidence that they raided the candy that was suppose to go in the piñata for later. Bounce house, piñata -Stacy's Hispanic side really did kick into gear when planning her oldest son's party-.
"Did you leave any for the actual piñata?" Jongsuk asked the younger boys, completely forgetting about the girl who still had her phone and was now looking through more of his text messages to try and find this mystery girl's name, but nothing so far. He seems to delete his messages after a certain time period has passed -all except the one's between them- which she found to be strange.
Azusa slowly tried stepping away from the group of people she basically saw as siblings. The group of three 14 year olds were like the little bothers of the group, the twins were the eldest and Jay and her were the weird, awkward, middle kids. Azusa's attempt to slyly escape the group didn't go unnoticed. Sora -the only other girl among this band of children of came from past famous idols- noticed Azusa slowly slipping away and she followed, soon leaving only the boys talking about who knows what by themselves.

Azusa and Sora went into one of the many guest rooms in Jin and Stacey's house, which is where this party was being held. They sat on the expensive bed and turned on the TV for unnecessary, yet necessary, background noise.
"So what's up?" Sora asked the younger girl, "we haven't had one of our girl talks in a while. I think the last one was when you told me you finally got your per-"
Azusa cut her off when she began talking about a topic she was still sort of uncomfortable with. "Yah! No need to talk about that, and how I thought I was dying"
"The cramps make us feel like we're dying" Sora added and poked her abdomen. The 15 year old Azusa couldn't help but agree. "So why you going through my idiotic brother's phone again? Did you two hit a brink in your relationship or something?"
"For the billionth time, Jongsuk and I aren't dating"
"Sure seems like it" she retorted and Azusa gave her a playful not so playful push.
"You mean like you and Jay?" Azusa teased but it made Sora bug eyed to hear of the thought of her and Jay together.
"There's nothing going on between Jay and me. He's like a little brother to me"
"And Jongsuk is like an older brother to me". Right as she finished saying that, they heard something breaking -maybe a vase- in the hallway. They got curious so they got off the bed and opened the door only to see a broken vase on the floor but no one around.
"Oh man holy shit! A ghost!" Azusa joked but Sora -who always had a irrational fear of the paranormal- freaked the fuck out and began calling for her mother as she ran to the living room where all the adults were.

Jay and Jongsuk -who were hiding in the bathroom after breaking the vase- heard running footsteps down the stairs and another pair following them, alongside Sora crying out for her mother.
"You made your sister cry" Jay whispered, cautious in case someone were to hear them.
"Not on purpose" Jongsuk defended, "and she's not even crying. She's just scared like the scaredy cat she is and always was". He slightly, and slowly opened the door to peek into the hallway to check if the coast was clear. They were basically eavesdropping on the girl's conversation which their mothers frowned very much upon and led to serious punishment. According to their mothers, "eavesdropping is an invasion of privacy that a girl can never forgive because girls must have sacred secrets kept between them and only them". But their fathers say "if you ever get curious, just don't get caught or else you're calling for a death wish" and then Taehyung or Mark would occasionally add "in other words, if you get caught , you'll probably won't have sex for as long as they please".
Jongsuk smiled at the thought of his uncles' stupidity and inappropriateness, showing his dimples inherited from his father.
"Yo Dimples," Jay said, "stop standing there and let's hurry up before we get caught" the younger boy rushed and he did as ordered. The quickly made their way to Jay's room which was not far from were they just were.
Just like the girls had done before, they sat on the expensive bed and turned on the TV for unnecessary, yet necessary, background noise.
"So I guess you still haven't told Azusa she's the mystery girl you talked about in our texts" Jay stated
"You heard her didn't you?" Jongsuk said with disappointment clear in his tone of voice, "She sees me as her older brother. Plus I'm almost two years older than her. What would uncle Yoongi do if he found out?"
"He should do anything. He's almost 5 years older than aunt Y/N. Then uncle Kookie is about that much older than auntie Grace too. And uncle Jamless is older by auntie Jackie by-"
"I get your point." The older boy interrupted. "But they didn't grow up together. They all began with a couple type relationship, not a he's-like-a-big-brother relationship."
"Kookie and Grace were best friends and she didn't see him in a 'romantic' way until later"
"But he saw her in that way"
"And you see her in that way". Jongsuk thought that his dongsaeng made a good point. He still was hesitant on telling Azusa his feelings, but he would definitely take this advice under consideration.
"Jongsuk!" the boys heard Rebecca's voice roar. He was definitely going to get in some sort of trouble.

The next day at school, Sora and her friends went up to Azusa and her friends -that for some reason always liked hanging out by the broken vending machines- with some news.
"Did you hear Homecoming is next week?" Sora asked the sophomore -Azusa- with excitement.
"Yeah. So what?" Azusa answered, curious to why this dance was even a big deal. Last year she didn't get asked but always saw the "popular" girls get asked in nauseous cliché ways, but she could denying her self into thinking she didn't want that. It does look cute she often thought when she saw a sight of a boy asking a girl to prom, homecoming, winter formal, etc.
"Are you gonna go?" Sora asked
"No. Nobody asked me"
"Yet" Sora added
"Is there a point to this conversation, eonni?" Azusa asked the older girl before taking a sip of her milk.
"I was thinking maybe you'd wanna go with Jongsuk" she suggested, making Azusa choke on some of her milk. One of her friends aggressively patted her back to try and help. "So will you?" Sora asked, completely disregarding the girl in front of her almost dying from chocolate milk.
"If he asks me, then sure, but I think he'd want to go with that girl he's always talking about with Jay. He seems to idolize the chick and by the way he describes her, she's perfect... Lucky bitch" she said mumbling that last little bit of it
"What was that?" Sora asked not quite hearing the mumbling part
"I said 'Don't snitch', as in don't tell Jongsuk I know this much about his crush" Azusa lied

Jay and Jongsuk were at the dollar store getting posters, paint, markers, glitter, construction paper and glue for their plan to ask the girls to homecoming. They finally decided to man up and in some way show their feelings by asking their crushes to Homecoming. Jay would ask Sora and Jongsuk would ask Azusa. And it might not have been the best idea, but they got this idea from their perverted uncle Mark and Hoseok. When it came to girls, they were the ones to ask -most of the time- but when it came to anything else, it's better to go to another uncle or aunt.
"Do we have everything?" Jay asked when they made their way to the checkout line.
"Pretty sure, but I think it's good if we give them candy along with it. Don't you think?" Jongsuk suggested and Jay agreed, immediately leaving his hyung in line to go and get candy for the girls... and them. Don't judge, the drive to the store got them hungry.
Jay came back just as his hyung got to the front of the line. They paid, got their bags and went back to Jongsuk's car where from a distance they saw and her friends walk into the dress store that just so happens to be near the dollar store.
"Do you think someone asked her already?" Jay asked somewhat scared and somewhat disappointed.
"No. She would've told me, or Azusa, and then Azusa would've told me."
"Good." Jay said in a more cheerful time now and then pointed out that Azusa was in the shop too, being chased around by girls trying to show her dresses. She wasn't much of a dress girl so it made sense.
Jongsuk smiled at the sight of it and then got into his car, now fully inspired to start on the homecoming proposal poster that was meant for her anyways.

At school the next day, Jay and Jongsuk had posters in their hands and candy in gift bags.
Jay's poster read; "Roses are red, tiaras are stunning, come be my princess, at this year's Homecoming".
And Jongsuk's read; "Mickey needs Minnie and Tiger needs Pooh, and I need to go to Homecoming with you"
They were both so cute and cliché that it made single people nauseous or envious, possibly both.
Somehow they managed to keep anyone from noticing the posters for the entire day. At the end of the day, before Azusa and Sora went to go get dressed for their softball practice, they did what they wanted. First let's go with Jay, who had brought some of his violin mates to accompany his homecoming proposal. They played the Beauty and the Beast "Tale as old as Time" song.
Sora was in complete shock when she saw all the effort put into this and she was so flattered that she couldn't help but say yes. The candies he gave her only made her more happy. She gave him a kiss on the forehead as a thanks.
Now onto how Jongsuk asked, which didn't go as smoothly as he planned. Apparently, Azusa had already gotten changed at was already practicing in the field, which forced Jongsuk to run across campus -kind of wrinkling the poster- only to find out that he went to the wrong field.
After about maybe 5 minutes, he found her throwing balls with some of her other teammates. Meaning he would have to ask in front of other people too, which only added to his stress and nervousness.
He finally built up the courage and called her name out, making her turn in his direction and making her get hit by a ball on her arm. She picked up the ball and threw it back as if nothing had happened. Damn this girl is strong, just like her mother.
Azusa ran over to Jongsuk and asked what he wanted.
He pulled out the poster that had been sticking out of his bag all day and opened it.
"Mickey needs Minnie" she read out loud "and Tigger needs Pooh" she paused for a second and smiled as she read the rest of it "and I need to go to Homecoming with you".
"So will you?" He asked and picked her up when she nodded 'yes'.
"Wait," Azusa started "what about that mystery girl you kept texting about?"
Jongsuk put her down and giggled a little before answering "It was you. I'm sorry for not telling you sooner"
"I'm sorry for not realizing sooner" Azusa replied now smiling like an idiot along with Jongsuk.
