It's a warm Summer day,
I stood here in the kitchen,
The family is over,
And everybody is laughing,
Then I got a phone call,
A voice said that something is happening,
That my girlfriend is in the hospital,
I then pause for a minute,
The person on the other line was still talking,
I was reminiscing about when I asked her,
When I went down onto my knees
And asked her,
To be mine,
Forever,
I told her that I wanted her,
Forever and Always,
Through the good,
The bad,
And the ugly,
I started talking to the person again,
They said that i should go,
To the hospital,
And so I did,
I drove there,
Running as fast as i could to the entrance,
I ask the doctors where I could find her,
I ran around this hospital,
Lost,
As if i was in a maze,
And then I found the room that she was in,
I walked up to the door,
Opened it slowly,
And then I saw her,
She seemed weak,
Tired,
Her face was all scratched up,
I pulled up chair next to her bed,
Held her hand,
Looking into her eyes,
The same eyes that I fell in love with 6 months ago,
I then said to her,
I want you,
Forever and always,
I want to grow old,
Have a house on a hill,
And be happy..
With you..
And as soon as I said that,
She smiled at me,
And whispered in a weak voice,
"I love you.."
As she said that,
Her eyes closed,
And I was left in the hospital room,
Alone,
With no one to hold,
I hold her hand tighter,
Whispering to her,
"I'll always love you, forever and always.."
