I've been loved
before
and well.
And knights and fire
roamed the earth,
and beasts thundered
and stomped
through fields and rivers,
and forests fell.
Land shook and dreams
were born and perished,
but not like this ...
not with such a will
as to make
my heart stilled
and yet,
live... to tell.
