~Lucy's P. O. V. ~
After hanging in Natsu's house for a chit-chat session and dinner, everyone left, leaving me and Natsu on the couch. "Sooo what do you want to do now?" I asked.
"Make out." Natsu grinned.
"No." I said immediately. He pouted. "God kid what's with your obsession?" I laughed. "I wanna." He whined. "No." I said again, pushing his forehead away when a finger.
"Let's pop a movie in. Suggestion: romance." I got up, went into his room and started browsing through the CD rack.
"Since you rejected me, it's my call. Suicide squad. It's been sitting there since I bought it right after the release. Never got the chance to watch it with anyone. Let's watch it." He appeared into the room next to me and picked out a CD, slid the CD into the player and walked into the kitchen to make popcorn. I paused it at the beginning while waiting for him, and when he came back, I played it. We snuggled comfortably under a cotton blanket and in a beanbag with the bucket of popcorn resting on his lap. I hogged the blanket though. Sheesh it's close to winter and there isn't a fleece blanket in here.....
"Cold huh." Natsu snickered as I tucked the cotton blanket closer around me. I glared at him. "Shut up, why doesn't your house have a fleece blanket anyway?" "I never need it." Natsu grinned even more.
Tch.
Halfway through the movie I was tempted to just grab all the blankets in his house and dump them on me.
I reached for the popcorn, and my fingers brushed Natsu's. He stared at me, then grabbed my hand. "Damn Luce you're freezing." He whispered. "I was since the beginning of the movie." I whispered back, before turning back to the screen.
Then a silhouette blocked me and came closer until I could feel warm lips on mine.
I'm warm.
I completely forgot about the movie as I slowly sank in the warmth of the innocent gentle kiss. Natsu pulled away then nuzzled his face in the crook of my neck, draping one arm around my waist and rubbed my thigh with the other hand.
"Nat...su?"
"Shh. The movie, Luce, the movie."
We continued watching the movie in silence, but my attention was divided between the movie and the comfortable and soothing rub of Natsu's hand on my thigh.
"Luce."
"Yeah?"
"Still cold?"
"Nope."
"Then make me popcorn." Natsu grinned cheekily. I flicked his forehead and snuggled even deeper into the giant beanbag. "Nah. Make your own popcorn. The movie's almost ending anyway."....
.....was what I said, but in the end I had to go make popcorn while Natsu chose another movie. Dammit.
~Natsu's P. O. V ~
After Suicide Squad, we went on an unintended movie marathon, finally stopping when it was one in the morning. Luce already fell asleep half way through the last movie.
Awww she's drooling a little....even the way she snores gently and lightly are cute. Once the movie ended, I put the empty popcorn bucket in the sink and carry Luce bridal style, blanket in tow, and put her on my bed. Resting my head on the top of hers and my arms bringing her into my chest, I fell asleep.
~Lucy's P. O. V. ~
Faint light pried my eyelids open. I looked around. It's five thirty now? Wait no, the sky colour is too light. I rolled over to check the clock.
"WAAAAAA ITS EIGHT ALREADYYY NATSU KONO BAKAAAAAAAAAA (Translation: Natsu you idiot)!!!!" I screamed and scrambled out of bed. I brushed my teeth and showered at an inhumane speed, still making sure I was clean before changing into my school uniform and finding my hoodie.
Natsu was still asleep.
I decided to just tease him so I straddled him and licked his neck.
"Mmmm" he purred and hugged me. Then I took hold of his arm and dragged him out of bed.
"Owwww what the hell Luce?" He whined. "You were awake Natsu. Go wash up. Now. WE'RE LATE CUZ OF YOUR STUPIDITY HURRY UPPP." I yelled. He got the message and ran into the bath.
I checked the time. 8:35am. I ran to the kitchen and made pancakes, then set them on plates. I grabbed snack bars and poured cups of milk as Natsu walked out, wet and dripping and shirtless with just a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Natsu, wear your shirt." I took a towel and dried his hair as he gobbled down the five pancakes I made for him.
"Later." He managed to say after finishing the pancakes and the six snack bars. He's gonna have to be very rich in the future to support his appetite. After he slurped down the milk, I gave his hair a last rub with a towel and he went to change. I sighed and begin eating my own breakfast. I checked the time.
9:05am.....school started five minutes ago.
"UGHHHH" I yelled and left the dishes in the sink along with the popcorn bucket. As quick as I could I grabbed a pale orange ribbon and tied all my hair into a sleek side pony after brushing it. I ran to the doorway, tugged on the stockings, wore my shoes, grabbed my bag and a winter pale blue parka before heading out to the car. It was getting closer to winter and the temperatures were declining slowly.
Natsu ran out next and scrambled into the driver's seat, slamming the door behind him. We took off.
"Here." He said at the last traffic light, handing me a muffler. It was white, with black lines running along in it. "Take it. You're cold aren't ya? The parka ain't helpin'." Natsu grinned toothily and sped off as the light turned green. I wrapped the muffler around my neck and felt instant warmth settle around me. "Arigato." I whispered. He ruffled my hair.
At the school gate, he parked his car, and we both sprinted into the hallways and into first period. At least we were only thirty minutes late. We only missed first period.
"Well, if it's not Natsu-kun and Lucy-san. Nice parfum!"
I sure wanted to miss this class.
Ichiya-sensei grinned and did that hand sign (I don't know what the hell is that but I do know it's creepy) and motioned for us to sit. I could feel Gray's eyes burning a hole in my back as I sat down beside Erza. "You're late." She said sternly.
Yikes.
"Natsu didn't set his alarm." I muttered. "Hmm." Erza didn't say anything. Then when Ichiya turned his back to us, Erza whispered in my ear, "Gray said he was gonna put you under house arrest."
Nearly forgot about that......
-time skip, lunch break-
"LUCY HEARTFILIA." I knelt on the ground of the rooftop, shuddering a little. My friends shot me looks of sympathy.
Gray hovered over me and stared down menacingly. I waited for him to announce the duration of my house arrest.
He squatted and stared at me. "Where'd you get the muffler?" He asked.
I almost fainted from relief.
"Natsu gave it to--"
"OH YES. NATSU. SO WHY WERE YOU LATE?" Gray boomed. Back to this again are we.
"Natsu forgot to set his alarm." I said truthfully. "Hey!" Natsu yelled. I glared at him, shutting him up.
"Hmm. You're grounded for a month. No going out with friends or to friend's houses, especially not Natsu. Unless I'm there with you." Gray pressed my forehead with a finger. I groaned.
"Be nice to the girl Gray." Natsu put in. "You're one to talk Flame Brain, ever since you appeared she's been late for school!" Gray snapped. Erza seperated the two of them before they could even begin fighting. I got up from the ground and Levy whispered in my ear, "Don't worry, you can come to our houses. Erza will undo the house arrest crap."
I had to laugh at that one. "Here are the tickets to the dance, Lucy," Mira stuffed the two tickets in my palm. Natsu, catching this moment, tossed the money that we had to fork out for the tickets at Mira.
"The dance is next Friday huh? Reminds Juvia of the end of the year. This year is gonna be everyone's last year in this school." Juvia thought out loud.
"Yeah" echoed from all of us.Memories of how I came to be here flashed in my mind. I was here for less than half a year and already so much drama happened.
Gray's phone rang, breaking the silence. He cursed swiftly and muttered an apology before widening his eyes at the caller ID and going out to take the call.
Unable to hold back my curiosity, I walked out of the rooftop, nearing Gray at the staircase. The more he spoke, the more he looked shocked.
"WHAT THE F*** DO YOU MEAN?" He shouted. I visibly flinched.
"I..."
"....what? "
"I will tell her."
".....bye."
Gray hurled the phone onto the floor and sunk to the ground.
I heard movement, and looked behind me. Juvia, Natsu and the rest of the gang, excluding Laxus since he's got his Thunder God Tribe the hang out with (don't ask how they even named themselves) crowded around the door. I shook my head discreetly at them and they drew back.
Walking over to Gray, I sat down next to him and asked the question that everyone wanted an answer to.
"What happened?" I asked gently.
"He called." He buried his face in his hands.
"And?" I probed.
"He said.........."
"WHAT?! "

Okay I'm leaving it up to your imaginations to figure out what the phone call was about and who is "he". I'll clear everything up in the next chapter...
