A cry, a child's cry, and a blinding white flash of light is all that is all that I can remember of what happened six months ago in a car crash that almost killed me. I can't remember anything that happened before that. I was told that that child's cry was my little girls. I never saw her because she died on impact. I had an emergency c-section to save my second child. I am just starting to care for her because before I could care for an infant I had to be retaught how to care for myself. I named her Lilybeth, I call her lily for short. I was told that child that passed was named Lillian so I wanted to incorporate that into her name.
I suddenly fall as waves of memories wash over me. I start to cry as I relive my wedding day and the day Lillian was born. I cry harder as I remember the day I got the letter stating my husband had died in war. Then I remember that night. I was driving home form the funeral very pregnant and Lillian in the back seat. I was driving through an intersection when a semi came, so that's where the light came from, and hit he passenger side. The scream came from Lillian as the truck hit and killed her. The force of the impact made me hit my head, blackout, and lose my memory.
