Nova's POV.
I jumped out of my train of thought, hearing Niall's voice,. I felt the pit of my stomach tense up at his question almost as if I would vomit. I stared at him wide eyed, all eyes on me as we drove down the highway as they waited for me to answer. I thought for a second..
" I mean you don't have to tell me, I was just curious.." spoke Niall
"I honestly don't wanna talk about it.. Im sorry.."
"its fine, love."
the rest of the ride was sat in silence....
when we arrived at school, I was so lost. I had no friends or anyone to talk to... I didn't see the boys once through out the school day, but when I walked in earlier everyone stared and whispered about me. Seventh period came around and it was art! I was so happy... I got paired with tis guy, with sandy-blonde hair and grey eyes.
"hi im Collin" he smiled
"im Nova"
"so what do you want to paint?"
"its up to you"
we decided to free draw, and he drew me! I was shocked, it was beautiful, "I saw you this morning walk in with those guys..."
"yeah w'bout them?"
"I was just wondering if you were like them? You know into drugs and all?"
"no. I am not"
the bell sounded signaling school was out.
Collin followed me down the hall.... "so there's this party on Friday and I know we just met but I was wondering if you were interested in going with me?"
comes off fast don't he?
" umm... yeah I would like that.."
"may I have your number?"
we swapped numbers and went our separate ways..
I made my way towards the end of the hall, where I found Niall.
"why were you talking to, Collin?"
"what's it to ya?"
"he's bad news, Nova?"
"oh don't try to act like you aren't."
"I heard about all you guys."
He went quiet.
"he invited me to a party.."
"you going?"
"not sure.."
" oh. do you like him?"
" I just met the poor kid" I laughed
he smiled. "all im saying to be careful"
"why"
" I know what he has done in his past and I want to protect you"
Our hands touched I swear, I felt sparks.
I wonder if he felt them too?
We looked at each other smiling, with bot crimson red-cheeks.
"why do you want to protect me?"
"cause I want you..."
