if a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? yes. but i have a follow up question; if a poet falls, and no one is around to hear it, do they make a sound? or are they forever doomed to silence, their voices buried six feet deep, begging to be used one last time because all they wrote poetry for was to be heard.
if a poet falls and i am around to hear it, will they come crashing down like a mighty redwood, or flutter towards earth like a single leaf?
if a poet falls and i am around to hear it will i be a weeping willow mourning their voice, or a mighty oak, digging it back up by the roots?
-i am afraid to lose my voice.
