Once again, nothing special happened that day. I was all alone, lost in thoughts… But then I remembered my stripping job and when I called, my boss wasn’t too happy.
“Where the hell have you been?! I’ve been trying to get ahold of you for five days!”
“…” I wasn’t going to answer to this mother fucker.
“Trisha! We need you to get straight down here. This is your final chance and if you don’t show up, you’re fired.’’ I knew what he was going to say, and I didn’t want to listen. The club wasn’t even really much anyways. Only a few people came because we were all stubborn aside Lips and I couldn’t bear to face my ex roommate. I’ll quit and he can go and fuck himself for all I care.
“I quit.” He didn’t care. Hell, I knew he wouldn’t care.
“Fine.”
We never spoke again. I’m sure that we never will, at least. So I was out of a job, but I still had some pot left and Lucian was a client. That fucker better pay me if he wants me to go to that thing. My eyebrows furrowed from aggravation. I was irritated with myself. How could I forget to ask such an important question? Of course, I didn’t want to seem too much like a cheap whore. I decided to just not think about the whole thing. I wanted to calm myself, and maybe go find some old friends from Alex’s gang. It was weird when they all disappeared. I guess they couldn’t take this place anymore…
I slipped on a skirt and some old shirt, not really bothering to get picky, even though I really wasn’t unless I was attempting to shop. And then, I pulled out something I had no idea that I even had. My eyes widened slightly, the jacket slung over my arm as I traced my fingers over the black leather. It was Alex’s trademark jacket. And then I remembered what happened one day.
”You know what? Fuck this! I quit!”
“Oh fuck you! Nobody cares anyways!”
‘That’s a lie…like I fuckin’ care!’ I thought.
And with that all said and done, Jimmy removed the leather jacket and threw it down on the piss-stained ground, trudging off and leaving it to rot.
What a memory! But there are so many fucking memories… Just so many! I sighed, slipping it on and immediately shivering at the warmth, and stench of cigarettes and alcohol left on it from long ago… Whatever. I grabbed my shit and started walking. Maybe by wearing this, I’d be recognized by people I wanted to be recognized by.
After passing through the busy roads, I reached the alleyway. The building where his gang lived wasn’t too far. In fact, although I wanted to piss myself in fear of getting killed by its new owners, I felt a rush of excitement surge through me. Maybe there was hope… Even though I don’t think so!
As luck would have it, I felt a yank and a “Watch out!”.
