"The Argents know about Scott," said Eric.

We had hurried off the lacrosse field when we heard the police sirens going off. We knew that they would investigate there because that's where Lydia was found. We couldn't risk being caught at the scene of the crime. We were now in the edge of the woods, trying to come up with a plan of what to do next.

"What?" I asked, surprised.

"They cornered him out in the bus lot," he said. "Allison saw him transform."

I gaped at his news. Scott would never have wanted Allison to find out that way, or to find out at all really. I'm sure that both of them are freaking out at the moment. We had to find Scott before he did something rash.

"Look, the Argent's main goal is to kill The Alpha, only they don't know who it is. Derek obviously hasn't given up the truth yet so their next move is going to be to hunt down Scott and get answers from him." Eric explained.

"Are they going to hurt him?"

"I don't know,"

"We have to find them, both of them." I said.

A sudden shiver ran up my spine as a loud howl echoed throughout the trees. The leaves shook at its force. I recognized that howl. It was the same one I heard all those nights ago back at the school. Eric had hit the ground at the sound of the roar, his werewolf senses taking over at the sound. The hybrid within me was drawn to it as well. I knew that it was loud enough for Derek and Peter to hear.

A few moments passed before another howl roared throughout the forest. I didn't recognize it's owner, but by the look on Eric's face, he did. That could only mean one thing: Scott was signaling Derek. I smiled to myself at his cleverness. Now Eric and I had Derek's location as well.

"Let's go," he said. Without another moment of hesitation we ran through the trees to the source of the second howl.

Eric was faster than me, but I was doing my best to keep up. Luckily all those training sessions with Dad had built me up some endurance. Then, Eric switched to all fours and pulled even further ahead of me. My lungs burned as I pushed myself to sprint as fast as I could. I'm faster than a human, but not a werewolf.

I dodged trees and heard the continuous snapping of twigs beneath my feet. The area was starting to become familiar. An old scent tickled my nose as I ran. I slowed down as I reached the clearing, unbelieving of what stood before me. The Hale house, they're keeping him in his own house.

Eric was standing a few feet in front of me and as much out of breath as I was. I moved to stand next to him, my chest heaving and dry. "In his house?" I asked.

"Not in it," he said, "under it."

"Scott!" I hissed in a whisper as he joined us, coming out of his werewolf form. He looked at the two of us in disbelief.

"What? What are you two doing here?" He asked us.

"You really think Derek was the only one to hear you?" Eric said. Scott hung his head slightly, though I think on the inside he was glad to have back-up.

Scott then perked up and looked to me, his brow furrowed. "Emma, where's Stiles?"

My stomach felt like it dropped into my ass. I didn't want to tell him the truth, but I couldn't keep it from him. He doesn't deserve that. I glanced to Eric for help, but he too knew I had to be the one to tell him.

"Peter has him,"

"What?" Scott exclaimed.

"He's fine, okay? Peter won't kill him,"

"And how do you know? He's already killed multiple people!"

"Stiles has too much information," I said. "He knows more than you think,"

"Look," said Eric, breaking off Scott and me. "As touching as I'm sure this conversation is gonna get, we have a bigger problem at hand here. We need to get Derek and get the hell out of here,"

"And then get Stiles," I added.

"Sure," said Eric, rolling his eyes at me. "Whatever,"

"You're right," said Scott. "Let's go,"

The three of us followed Eric, who knew where they were keeping him. We trudged through tall grass and weeds, spotting a gate in a crevice in a small hill. The bars were wrapped with vines, but there were obvious footprints in front of it. This was definitely it.

Eric opened the gate, allowing Scott inside. I moved to follow, but my brother put his arm out to stop me. "No way, sis,"

I folded my arms. "I can handle myself, Eric. I'm going."

"You stay here, be a lookout."

"A lookout? Are you kidding me?" I could feel my skin growing hot in anger. "Derek is my friend and I'm going to help him."

"What if Peter shows up with Stiles? I'm sure you'll want to be up here for that."

That tugged something within me, though I wasn't going to give him the satisfaction of verbal agreeing to staying up here. I was only doing it for Stiles. Eric smirked and closed the gate behind him and Scott as they began making their way down into the cellar where Derek was being tortured.

I kicked a pile of leaves in anger. I moved and sat against a tree on the outside of the forest. I couldn't help but feel slightly like Stiles in this situation. I remember how peeved he was when Scott made him be the lookout the night he was to scope out the bus. I was too upset at Eric then to feel bad for him, but now I get it. He always feels like the sidekick. If only he knew he's my hero.

I still couldn't believe that Eric and Scott don't trust me enough to go down there with them. It's not like they can hurt me. Besides, I think the fighting skills Dad has taught me are more use against the human hunters than they would be against werewolves. I'd actually stand a chance. Eric is lucky he brought up Stiles, otherwise I would have sneaked down there anyways.

I could hear yelling coming from within the cellar, something only my inhuman ears could pick up. It sounded like Derek. I stood up from my slumped position against the tree and crept towards the gate. I closed my eyes and focused in on the conversation happening below me.

"They brought your sister here so that Peter could kill her and become The Alpha," said Scott.

My eyes widened. That was his intention all along, become The Alpha and get his revenge. It was never about reuniting family or forming a pack, it was always about revenge. All of this happened because of revenge.

A few moments later I heard footsteps nearing the gate. I backed away as Eric, Scott, and Derek all made their way out, Derek weak and panting. "Emma?"

"Derek," I said. He was pale, drained of strength and color. "Here,"

I placed my hands on his chest, doing what I could to revive him of his strength. Scott and Eric watched with wide eyes as Derek's skin returned to it's normal color and the sweat was gone from his face. And to think they thought I couldn't handle going down there.

"Wait, wait," said Derek. I dropped my hands as he looked around. "It's...it's almost as if it was - "

"No, no, no, don't say too easy," said Scott. "People say too easy and bad things happen. Do you think finding you was easy? Getting away from Allison's dad - none of this has been easy."

"Fine," said Derek, letting out a breath. "You're right,"

Though I couldn't help but agree that something didn't feel quite right. I moved to stand next to Eric, giving him a concerned look, one which he returned. I would have expected more hunters, or more traps. It shouldn't have been that simple.

My thoughts were confirmed as an arrow struck Derek in his left arm. Eric pushed me behind him in protection. He held me back from running to Derek's aid. Another arrow was shot, this time hitting Eric in the leg and sending him to the ground along with Derek.

"Eric!" I exclaimed, kneeling beside him. I heard Kate mutter an order to Allison, who was the owner of the bow from which the arrows were shot. "Scott! Your eyes!"

The arrow hit the tree behind Scott, creating a bright flash. I had covered my eyes, unsure of how they would react, but Scott was blinded. He hit the ground, trying to blink his way back into sight. Derek ripped the arrow from his shoulder and I did the same with the one in my brother's leg.

Derek tried dragging Scott away, but he was weakened and didn't get far. "Scott, go!"

"Emma, go," said Eric, his voice weak.

I shook my head at him, tearing threatening my eyes. "No, no I'm not leaving you." Allison was marching over to us. I stood up, ready to fight her myself if I had to.

"Allison, I can explain," said Scott.

"Stop lying," she said with force. "For once, stop lying."

"I was gonna tell you the truth at the formal, I was gonna tell you everything," said Scott. "Everything that I said, everything I did..."

"Was to protect me," she finished for him, an annoyed look on her face.

"Yes,"

"I don't believe you,"

"Oh thank god, now shoot him before I have to shoot myself." Kate was walking over to us now. I glared at her, angry at all she has done. She murdered an entire family, innocent people. If she so much as threatens my brother, I won't hesitate to take action.

"You're not touching him." I said, my voice thick. She smirked, then lifted her gun and shot Derek in the knee. "No!" I yelled, running to his aid. The feeling of a cold, lead barrel stopped me in my tracks.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," she said.

"I'm not afraid of you," I said, not backing down. I kept my stature tall.

She laughed, a cold and sinister laugh. "You should be." Her gun fired again, in instant pain hitting my bicep. I fell to my knees, holding my injured arm in my hand.

"Emma!" Eric had gotten himself to his feet and was now coming towards me. As Kate turned to aim her gun at my brother, I pulled the bullet from within my skin and threw it aside. The wound healed almost instantaneously.

I got to my feet, a rage burning inside of me. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," I said, mocking the phrase she used only moments ago. She turned back to face me, impressed at how fast my wound healed, yet also confused.

"Shoot her, Allison," ordered Kate. I looked over my shoulder to see Allison internally battling herself. Her bow still hung loose at her side. She wouldn't shoot me, and even if she did it wouldn't matter. I would heal myself. Kate rose her gun so that the barrel was even with my eyes. "Then I'll do it again, and again, and again, until she dies for good."

"Kate," A strong and demanding voice called. We all turned to see Mr. Argent standing with a gun of his own. "I know what you did. Put the gun down."

"I did what I was told to do," she said.

"No one asked you to murder innocent people. There were children in that house, ones who were human." He said. Kate took a step closer to me. I kept my eyes locked on hers, a glare etched on my face. "Look what you're doing now. You're holding a gun to a sixteen year-old girl. No proof she or anyone else here as spilled human blood. We go by the code."

Kate drifted her gaze from me to look at her brother. I took this opportunity to say what has been lingering on my tongue. "I'm not what you think I am. I'm not a werewolf."

Kate looked my back to be, her finger tightening on the trigger. "Then what the hell are you?"

"Isn't that the million dollar question," I said, surprised at how much Stiles' sarcasm had rubbed off on me. Mr. Argent then raised his gun at his own sister.

"Put the gun down," he ordered. Kate's grip on her weapon didn't change. Mr. Argent then fired, hitting the tree directly behind Kate's head. "Before I put you down,"

I let out a breath as Kate finally lowered her gun. I looked at Eric, letting him know that I was okay. He hadn't moved from his position on the ground, neither had Derek. I heard the creaking of a door behind us. I turned to see the old and beaten red front door to the Hale house slowly opening.

"Allison, get back," said Mr. Argent.

Kate rose her gun to the door and Scott and Eric scrambled to their feet. Eric came over to me, grabbing a hold of my wrist. I mouthed an "I'm fine" before he could say anything himself. We all stared at the doorway, I could hear all the heartbeats rising. They were so loud I thought for a moment that I was going mad.

"What is it?" said Allison, her voice breaking.

"It's The Alpha," said Scott, his eyes glowing their deep amber color. I noticed Eric's do the same.

For the first time tonight, I was genuinely frightened. This was the first time I was really coming face to face with the monstrous form of The Alpha. I was going to get a glimpse of what he looked like the night he took my mother and sister's lives.

Part of me hoped that Stiles was with him, while part of me hoped he was somewhere else, alive. I didn't want  him to be here, to see what was about to happen. I didn't want him to see me like this, scared and angry. I don't care what those three boys say, I'm going to stand my ground and fight.

The beast darted out of the house, causing all three of the armed Argents to turn. It ran past us multiple times, creating a mystery as to it's whereabouts. I stepped out from behind Eric, who had covered me with himself. I didn't need him to protect me. I think I proved that.

Mr. Argent hit the ground as The Alpha ran past him, knocking his gun away. Allison was next, her bow flying out of her grip. Scott was taken out, hitting the ground with a thump. I glanced at Eric before he too was knocked off his feet. I then felt a brute force slam into me, causing me to crash down next to my brother.

"Come on!" Kate yelled, turning every direction in search of the wolf. "Come on!"

A steady rain began to fall as Peter, in his human form, grabbed Kate by the arm. Her gun fired before I heard a snap, knowing that he had just broken her wrist. He took her by the throat and threw her all the way to the porch of the house. She moaned in pain.

Allison perked up, running to follow her aunt who was just dragged into the house by Peter. I tried to get up to help her, but Eric held me back down. "He's going to kill them! Both of them!" I said.

A single moment passed and I heard the sound of claws ripping through a throat. I froze mid-breath. Peter had finally gotten his revenge. Now he can leave the rest of us be, but not before I get some answers for myself.

I escaped my brother's grip and followed Scott who had already entered the house, in werewolf form. Peter was standing over Kate's dead body, blood gushing from her throat. Allison was terrified, backing away as Peter neared her, but he froze when Scott let out a low growl.

Derek entered from the other side, followed by Eric. Both of them were transitioned into werewolves. I always hated seeing my brother like that. It reminded me that it was real, that he did break his promise to Mom and became the monster we promised we would never become. Although I have come to accept his transformation, it still hurts that he betrayed her.

"Run," Scott muttered to Allison. She sprinted out of the house as the three wolves pounced on Peter. He threw them off with ease. I was about to run to Scott's aid when they all stood up and continued fighting.

Peter threw Derek again, flipping him over a table. It reminded me of the night at the hospital. Scott then jumped at Peter, who tossed him over his back. Eric took his turn, but was thrown off as well. I felt useless standing here, watching them all fight. Maybe Peter was right, maybe I'll I'm good for is healing wounds.

The three continued to give everything they had into fighting him. Then, Peter's face began morphing. He was transitioning. He was turning into his full Alpha form. To my surprise, he controlled it, his face remaining human.

Derek charged at him, but Peter flung him into a dusty old cabinet. He wasn't as quick to get up from that one. Eric gave his shot, but Peter slammed him into a table, snapping it in half. I cringed as I watched my brother groan in pain. Scott ran at Peter, but he grabbed him and kneed him before throwing him into the wall.

As they kept fighting, Peter was finding it more and more difficult to keep his werewolf side in check. His face began transitioning again. All three boys were on the ground and he turned to me, his face twitching to and from his Alpha form.

"Care to take a turn, Emma?" He sneered.

I ignored him. I didn't want to fight him. I wanted him to answer the questions that have been nagging at the back of my mind for the past three years. "I should be dead," I said. "A bite from a beta can't do anything besides kill you, and you were a beta when you bit me."

Peter smirked, taking a few steps towards me. I swallowed the lump in my throat and stood tall as I had with Kate. "Still haven't figured it out? After all these years?"

"Why me? Why did you have to kill my mother and sister?" I asked, my tone rising.

"You really want to know the truth?"

I sucked in a breath. "I'm asking, aren't I?"

He took two more strides towards me before he began circling me as an animal does it's prey. His fingers found my hair, which were still in curls from the dance. I'd almost forgotten that I was still wearing my dress. I was beyond thankful for my choice not to wear heels.

"You were never human, Emma. Neither were your mother or sister," he said. I furrowed my brow in confusion. "A gene that is passed down only through the females in the family, one that is so rare, you were the first family I found that possessed it."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

"Why do you think your mother was so interested in the supernatural, Emma? She was trying to figure out what she was, what her daughters were."

"And you knew?" I questioned. He nodded. "You always knew,"

"Of course I knew, and after the fire I knew that I would need one of you in order to finish my healing process. Zoe would have been the most powerful, she was the one I intended for. It's really a shame that she died instantly, but I knew you would do."

He held my chin between his fingers, claws peaking out the tips. I tried wiggling, but he only tightened his grip. I wanted to kill him for talking about Zoe as if she was some kind of tool. The way he shook her death off so easily made me sick.

"All it would take is one bite, beta, alpha, even omega. One bite would trigger your ability to heal, taking it's power away from your other heightened senses."

"What am I?"

"There is no name for what you are, Emma, as there are so few."

"Why did you have to kill them? Why couldn't you have just picked one of us?" I nearly screamed as a single tear escaped my eye.

"Because your mother knew too much, and if I left all three of you alive you would have figured it out. I couldn't have that." He explained.

"So why tell me now?"

His smile made my throat go dry. "Because you are no longer needed."

He took a few steps back from me, his entire body beginning to twitch and shift. He was letting his transformation take over. He was doing it because he's stronger that way, and he's going to need all the strength he can get.

That way he can kill me.

So sorry about the wait! Netflix took Teen Wolf off instant queue so I was pouting about that for awhile. I finally powered through using the MTV site. I hate using it so much.

One more chapter and this story comes to and end. Things are about to get crazy.

Sorry about the lack of Stiles in this chapter...storyline probs.

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving (if you're American, and if you're not I hope you had a delightful Thursday)! Anyone else do grey thursday/black friday? That shit was nuts.
