This chapter is probably overflowing with grammatical errors and most likely doesn't make any sense. I'm really sorry. I was writing this in my Anatomy & Physiology class while my teacher was droning away. So I think I should be cut some slack.

Towards the middle of this chapter a dress is mentioned that will be kind of important in a later chapter, so I'll post the picture of the dress when we get to that chapter. And because I have no idea how to post two pictures =(

And there is a completely random song on the side...as usual =)

Enjoy!

"Shopping is the prefect remedy for the most disastrous heartbreaks"

-Unknown

"Wake up, Granger! It's 9:15 already!" yelled a voice in Hermione's ear.

"Ahhhhhh!" screamed Hermione as she opened her eyes and found herself inches from a pair of steely grey eyes. "What are you doing here Malfoy?! Go home and bug someone else!" she yelled as she rolled around to fall back asleep.

Draco watched her in amusement. He had reached Hermione's apartment exactly at 9, always punctual as he was. He was going to wake her, but she looked so peaceful and angelic that he couldn't make himself do it. After standing there for a while and staring at her sleeping peacefully, he realized what he was doing, mentally slapped himself for doing so and proceeded with his job at hand.

"Granger! Wake up! I don't have all day! And you don't want to keep Vivienne waiting," Draco yelled as he walked out of bedroom. "And nice pajamas by the way," he commented, chuckling as he did so.

If Draco yelling at her didn't wake her up, his last comment sure did. She could actually hear the smirk in his voice. She was wearing her Hello Kitty patterned pajamas. "Great!" she thought. "There is no way he's going to let that slip."

"Fine!" Hermione groaned as she got out of bed. She quickly took a shower and got dressed before heading into the living room where Draco was surfing channels on her Tv.

"Remember when you forced me to watch that muggle movie during Christmas break in 8th year?" Draco asked absentmindedly as he fingered the remote.

"Pride & Prejudice. Yeah. You didn't want to watch it. Though I'm pretty sure you liked it. What about it?"

"Nothing. I just remembered it," he replied hurriedly.

"Has Draco Malfoy been watching muggle films that he supposedly hated?" asked Hermione with a smirk that rivaled the famous Malfoy smirk, as she picked up a muffin.

"Haha. Very funny", Draco replied with a glare. "Are you ready? We only have fifteen minutes left."

"Mmm. Yeah. I'm done," Hermione mumbled as she swallowed the last bit of her poppy seed muffin and held her hand out.

A strange look crossed Draco's face before he took Hermione's extended hand and disapparated with a crack.

Seconds later, they appeared in front of an high end boutique in Diagon Alley. As they slipped inside, an elegant blonde lady appeared.

"Vivienne! Someone's looking beautiful," Draco exclaimed, flashing her a dazzling smile.

Hermione gave a cough that sounded vaguely like "brown-noser."

"And someone's looking handsome!" beamed Vivienne.

"Gr- Hermione, this is Vivienne, my mother's childhood friend and the owner of this shop. Vivienne, this is er- Hermione, and we are shopping for her."

"Nice to meet you, Hermione. What can we find for you today?"

"Hello" was all Hermione could manage to get out before Draco began rattling of all the items of clothing he intended to buy for her.

Vivienne escorted Hermione into a dressing room and in came the stampede of dresses. She'd wear each dress and then model it for Draco and Vivienne to either approve or reject.

After four hours and trying on more than fifty outfits, Hermione was exhausted. Just as she was about to ask, for the millionth time, whether they were done or not, Vivienne came in with one last box.

"I have just the thing for you, try this on. I think you may like it better than the rest," and with a wink, she glided back to where Draco was waiting.

Hermione slipped the gown on and looked at her reflection in the mirror. The dress was simply beautiful. It was an ivory floor length gown, made out of the softest chiffon imaginable with capped sleeves that formed a V on her back. The middle of the dress was embellished with beads and it ended in a soft waterfall of chiffon at her feet. And, needless to say, she loved it.

As she walked outside to model her last dress, Draco looked up only to be wonderstruck. Hermione looked absolutely stunning. As she walked, she looked like she was floating. Draco had never seen someone look so beautiful. He was immediately reminded of their last year at Hogwarts-

Draco snapped out of his reverie as Vivienne spoke. "Doesn't she look beautiful? The second I saw her, I knew that she was meant for this dress!" exclaimed Vivienne.

Hermione blushed and thanked Vivienne for the dress as well as the compliments.

"We'll definitely take this one," Draco said as Hermione walked back into the dressing room to change back into her clothes.

"So, how much is it?" Hermione asked the salesgirl.

"Mr. Malfoy already paid for it," the salesgirl said as she glanced dreamily at Draco.

Hermione rolled her eyes at the girl ogling rather obviously at Draco.

"Malfoy, you didn't have to pay for that," started Hermione as she joined Draco outside the boutique.

"Granger, drop it. I put forth the deal, so I pay for it."

"Moving on, then. So, did you see her ogling at you?" asked Hermione, as they began walking down the street.

"What?! Vivienne would never ogle at me! She is like my aunt!" Draco exclaimed, shocked that Hermione would say such a thing.

"Not Vivienne, you idiot. I was talking about the salesgirl."

"No, I didn't notice. But I can't help it, you see. I'm so beautiful that people ogle at me where ever I go," Draco replied with a smirk. In reality, Draco had been to preoccupied by Hermione to notice anything, or anyone, else. The clothes Vivienne had chosen were much more attractive than what Hermione usually wore and they highlighted her small frame, making her look even more attractive. And no matter how hard he tried, Draco could not get the picture of Hermione in that ivory dress out of his head. She looked absolutely heavenly, there were just no words to describe it.

"So, where are we going right now?" asked Hermione, interrupting Draco from his thoughts.

"Well, since we finished shopping rather early-"

"Early?! That took four hours!!! It didn't even take me that long to find my Yule Ball dress!" complained Hermione.

"Well, I'd say it didn't take that long considering we just bought you a whole new wardrobe," smirked Draco. "Anyways, your appointment with Francois is at two, so we have an hour to kill. Where does thou wish to go Milady?" Draco asked, putting on an aristocratic accent, reverting back to the camaraderie they shared during 8th year.

"I wish to visit the antique bookstore, My Lord. Would thou like to accompany me?" Hermione replied, in the same aristocratic tone.

"Of course you'd want to go to the bookstore, Granger," Draco said rolling his eyes.

"Oh, look who's talking. You read almost as much as I do!"

"Shut up," Draco blushed as he headed towards the bookstore.

After an hour, both emerged from the bookstore with their arms loaded with books along with the purchases they made at Vivienne's. They shrunk the packages to make them lighter and hurried to Francois's salon.

"Francois! We're here!" Draco called out as they walked in.

"Az alwayz, punctual to the T" replied Francois with a heavy accent, a handsome man with dark hair and brooding eyes, as the clock chimed three. "And this must he Mademoiselle 'ermione. Oh! Such beautiful 'air! Absolutely gorgeous! Wait 'ere, Draco. We shall be finizhed in no time!" And with a flourish, he took Hermione inside to meet the other hairdressers as Draco took a seat in the lobby.

Hermione was taken to an elegant room, where she sat in a chair as Francois and three other hairdressers did their magic (the figurative kind, not the real one) with her hair. As he worked, Francois introduced himself to Hermione and told her many stories about his wife and children. He was one of Narcissa and Lucius's closest friends and therefore knew, and shared, a lot of interesting stories about Draco that provided Hermione with much entertainment and amusement.

After what seemed like no time at all, Francois declared that they were done. When Hermione glanced at the mirror, she gasped. Staring back at her was a beautiful young lady with medium length, shiny brown hair that cascaded down her back in a waterfall of soft curls.

"Does Mademoiselle like it?" Francois asked with a hopeful look on his face.

Hermione jumped out of her seat and hugged Francois. "Like it? I love it!! Thank you so much."

Francois beamed as he escorted Hermione to the outer room where Draco was waiting. As they entered the room, Draco looked up. A shocked look crossed his usually impassive face as he was once again struck by how beautiful she was. Once again he was reminded of their last year at Hogwarts.

Instead of voicing his thoughts, Draco smirked and remarked, "Granger, you sure clean up nicely."

Hermione and Francois both scowled.

"Draco, that iz no way to talk to a lady," scolded Francois.

"You have no idea what I have to put up with," Hermione replied darkly.

Draco smirked once before thanking and paying Francois. Then he took Hermione's hand and turned on the spot, disapparating to Hermione's apartment."

"I'm so glad that's over. Actually I'm even more glad that it's a Saturday and I don't have to go to work," Hermione said as she plopped down on a sofa.

"Don't get too comfortable, Granger. We still have to go to Blaise's bash tonight."

"What? Why? I already told him I'm not going."

"Because we have to let the Wizarding World know that we are a couple and Blaise's bash will be infested with reporters," Draco explained impatiently, as he began to walk towards the door.

"Stupid, arrogant prat," muttered Hermione.

"I heard that, Granger," Draco called from the door.

"It was meant for you to hear it, Malfoy."

Hermione heard a soft chuckle as the door clicked shut.
