New Years Away From You

Start of the new year,

I'm still here away,

Away from you.

Start of the beginnings,

Hopes for happy days,

I wish for you.

Start of new friendships,

End of foul ones,

I need you.

Same old routine,

History repeats,

I want you.

You've been too far away,

I need you to come home soon,

This new year I pray to God,

To bring me closer to you.
