our hands touch, a burning sensation
tingles through my fingertips
as if the skin is telling me
to runrunrun as far away as i can.
but i fear that i am captured in his
inescapable gravitational pull,

second. the heat from my body
rises to my cheeks as i try not
to look into his dark eyes,
terrified that if i do,
