It's the morning of Prom and I feel like I'm preparing to walk the Red Carpet. Right now I'm getting some breakfast because I'll be damned if I starve today, cause I'm gonna be busy.
I have a hair appointment at 11:30, then I have to go get my nails done at 1:00, then I have to go back home and slay my makeup, then I have to be dressed and ready when Lucas comes to pick me up at 7:30. It may not seem like a lot, but when time starts rolling, everything just zooms on by. Speaking of time, I need to hurry up and finish eating so I can start my day.
"Good morning Small Fry. Hope you have a great day even though you prolly gone be busy. Text me back when you get a chance 🍇🍇." he texts causing my phone to ding and light up.
Damn I'm smiling hard as hell right now.
"Thank you LiteBrite. I'll make sure to text you back when I get a chance 😘😘." I text back quickly, getting up from the table and throwing my paper plate and plastic fork in the trash. I grab the keys to my car, my purse, and myself.

After spending most of my day riding around town and nearly running out of gas I'm back home and doing my makeup now. My hair has been slayed and laid and now it's resting under my silk scarf.
My phone starts to ring so I pick it up and put it on speaker. I'm not a great multi-tasker, but I'm gonna be a pro today.
"Hey girly. What you up to?" I hear Serenity ask through the phone. It sounds like she is in her bathroom or something if the sort.
" Girl I'm in my room currently, tryna slay this makeup. Nothin' major. I answer continuing to apply my foundation. It's already 5:52pm, good thing I took a shower when I got home.
"Well I know you probably busy and what not and so am I." she laughs causing me to do the same.
"So imma let you finish slaying honey. Call me back when you done." Serenity continues.
"Okay SeSe, I'll call you back in a little bit." I nearly shout, perfecting my contour and then the call ends.
I do a quick recheck to make sure everything is done.
"Hair, check. Slayed and laid
Nails, check. Looking extra saucy
Makeup, check.
Ooo yaass, I did that."
I say to myself as I examine my appearance in the mirror. Just one last thing I have to do an then I'll be just about ready, but first I need another food break. I rush down the stairs to my kitchen and right into the freezer for some Pizza Rolls. Quick fix and it tastes good. Don't judge me. After I finish my rolls, I run back upstairs and carefully put my dress on
I fall in love all over again as I look myself over in the mirror. I feel bad though cause I haven't texted Lucas since this morning. It's already 7:13 and I'm rushing to put on my shoes.
I really need to chill before I end up messing something up and I do not need that happening right now. When I get down stairs me dad looks at me with tears in his eyes.
"You look beautiful sweetie. Have a good night and be careful, you hear me." he says softly, while hugging me. He kisses me on the forehead and walks swiftly back to his room. I'm shocked because he barely talks, it definitely did warm my heart. As soon as his room door closes the bell for the front door chimes it little song. I'm afraid to open the door, but I don't want him standing outside waiting on me. So I put on my big girl panties and step confidently towards the door. When I open the door I am greeted by a handsome light-skinned young man dressed in a well fitted black suit with a hint of purple and gold to match my prom dress. I place my hands over my mouth in pure amazement. He looks great.
"Oooo shit look at LiteBrite. He all dapper tonight." I say smiling, definitely gassing his head up. I see him crack a smile.
"Yeah you know I gotta drip on 'em on time. Shit you look amazing fuck how I'm looking. Damn Korin." he expresses making me smile childishly.
"Let's go shut this shit down." I say as I link my arm in his. I didn't even realize the limo until he moves over.
"You got a limo Lucas?" I ask in complete shock.
"Of course I got a limo for my Queen. Everybody else is in there waiting now." Lucas answers.
"Awwww Luuuccasss, that's so sweet." I squeal, punching his arm. I probably punched him too hard cause he grabs his arm and winces a little. When I get to the door of the limo I can hear everyone else and as soon as he opens the door, I am greeted by dapper young men and slayed young women.
"You lookin' good big head." I hear Troy shout from the other end of the limo. I give him a death glare and then laugh at his comment.
"Bite me little boy." I clap back. Everyone laughs and all he can do is chuckle and shake his head.
"You ready lil mama?" Lucas asks me when the door of the limo closes.
"Yes sir, I believe I am. Thank you again Luc." I say giving him a peck on the cheek.
"Anything ya need Queen." he responds.
