~Natsu's P. O. V. ~
"MOM?!" I yelped. I could feel something in my throat and tears threatened to spill. This was the woman that disappeared for years and left me with guilt. She's here. In front of me. Alive and well.
"Mom? Is that....you?" I whispered, not daring to trust this was real.
"My baby all grown up." She whispered back, crying tears of her own. "Here's not the place. Come with me." She pulled me out of the café.
We ended up in a building that I had never seen before. I looked around curiously as she brought me to this weird room.
"Meet him." Mom showed me to a man who....
Who........
"Reveal yourself, Heartfilia." Mom said.
Heartfilia?
"Heartfilia? What do you mean Heartfilia?" I asked.
The man took off his hat, similar to the one on Mom's head.
Oh my God.
"JUDE HEARTFILIA? WHAT IS....." I shouted.
Didn't he die? He died in front of all of us. HE FRIGGIN DIED WHATS HE DOING HERE?
"YOU DIED!" I yelled. "I didn't. It was a fake. I faked my death. The doctors and nurses were all in on it. Even Mr Hart." He replied calmly. Wow I get how Luce feels now.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FAKED? YOU DIED RIGHT THERE. LUCE WAS CRYING AND GRAY WAS...." "Gray knew. I told him. Gray was aware of it the whole time." He stated.
I completely forgot about my mom for a moment. "EXPLAIN EVERYTHING." I snapped.
"I had to fake my death for some reason. But to prevent much from happening, I had to tell Gray, the doctors, nurses, whoever who was involved. Once my death was faked, I told Gray the procedures for my fake death. Instant cremation to prevent suspicion. "
"He....said he was arranging everything with everyone....." I butted in.
"They all know. The people that mustn't know are you and Lucy." He answered.
"Why?????" I groaned. So much confusion and so many questions.
"You, because you're closely linked to Lisanna, who has something to do with this, and because your mother is in on it. We had to wait until the time was right to tell you. Lucy mustn't know about this. Perhaps I should start with the reason why I had to fake my death.
I knew Alastair Strauss was after my company. To make sure nothing happened to it, I faked my death so I could watch the company without him knowing. Lisanna stabbing my daughter; it wasn't just her hate for Lucy, it was to rid potential people for a father who could take over the company. Gray wasn't targeted because he is the long lost son, most likely not next in line for the heir. It made me angrier and I brought the plan forward. I was contacted by your mother a month ago. She should carry on the story from here." Jude concluded, and motioned to my mother.
"That day, I didn't just disappear. I was taken. For years I was locked up, until I finally escaped. I learnt that the person who kidnapped me was sent by the Strauss family. I doubt the Strauss siblings know. They would have done something.
Alastair Strauss wanted to take over the Dragneel company. So first he took me as bait. When he realized none of you took it, thinking I died or disappeared, he used me as an information source. He didn't take it kindly when I refused to say anything. He would order his men to beat me to make me say what he wanted to know, but I refused. Anyways, I escaped a month ago, and that's when I met Jude, who offered me a place to stay and food to eat and clothes to wear after learning what happened to me. We came up with this plan together, but like Jude said it had to be brought forward. He doesn't really have cancer." Mom explained.
I'm so confused right now. "So.....you're telling me you two are in cahoots? And Jude didn't die? And everyone but Lucy and me knew?" I tried summarizing everything they heaped on me. "They don't know about me, but they know Jude didn't die." Mom corrected.
"So why did you tell me?" I asked. "I thought you should know, in case something goes awry. Natsu. Don't tell your father about this. I'll show myself when the time is right." Mom warned. "So what, now I go back to Lucy like nothing happened?" I questioned. "Yes. My daughter cannot know." Jude confirmed. "What's gonna happen here on out?" I needed answers. I hated knowing nothing. "According to the couple of spies I'd planted in Strauss' company, they deliberately let him know that I was dead, but told him not to spread. He will try to buy the company or take it by force next week, after my 'cremation'. When he does, I'll appear with your mother, and with the Dragneel company, which I would inform some time later. Then we'll stop him and your mother will buy the shares he holds now." Jude explained.
Oh....
This is reeeeeally confusing. I needed time to process all this.
Just then my phone rang.
Luce ❤
Oh shit I've been gone for too long. I picked up the phone as they looked at me pointedly.
"Luce?"
"Where are you Natsu?"
"I'm at the...."
I glanced at them, silently asking them for permission to tell Luce the truth. They stared at each other, communicating without making sound and nodded at me.
"Natsu? You there?"
"I'm in the car. Im coming to pick you up. We have places to go."
"O-okay."
She hung up, and I immediately dashed out to get the car, drove at top speed to my house, picked Luce up and drove back to the building.
"Natsu. You said you wouldn't leave me." She muttered. "Sorry Luce, I wanted to get food for you. See, it's in the car." I pointed at the food in the backseat. "Where are we going?" She asked. "It's a surprise. You'll be happy." I told her as I stopped and got out, holding the door for her. Then I grabbed her hand and rushed to the building.
~Lucy's P. O. V. ~
Natsu swung open a door, and I saw a cloaked figure standing in the middle of an empty room. The cloaked figure took off it's hat and coat, and......"Hello, Lucy." She smiled lightly. "Ehm....you are?" "Natsu's mother, Grandine Dragneel." She introduced herself. I gaped and stared wide eyed at Natsu. "Your mom's here...I'm so happy for you." I whispered and hugged him.
"I have a present...no, a surprise for you, little Heartfilia. Would you like me to show it to you?" Grandine smiled. I nodded.
Another cloaked figure walked out from behind a wall and stood in front of me. It removed it's hat and coat.
I never thought I would see him alive again.
That blonde hair....those eyes.....
"OTOU-SAMA?" I shouted. "You.....you died in front of me......" I croaked, backing away. "I'm alive now, Lucy. I was never dead. That was a fake. I was acting. The doctors knew." He said gently. My eyes widened and my hand flew over my mouth. "You......didn't die?" I said hoarsely. "Look at me, Lucy Heartfilia. I am alive, am I not?"
I ran to him and slammed into his arms, shocking him. He stiffly put his arms around and patted me.
Uhhhnnnn.....I give him a B+. After all it's his first hug to me. Tears ran down my face and I sobbed into his chest. "I don't understand why you were so sad, nor why you are so happy." Otou-sama whispered. "I treated you horribly." "I held a grudge against you. But you're my father. You were, are, and always will be." I breathed, then pulled away. "Explain everything to me. Does everyone know? Why is Grandine-san with you? What happened? Why did you fake it?" I bombarded him with questions.
He took a deep breath, and cleared up my doubts.
-time skip, after Jude is done explaining-
Whoa. My head is still trying to wrap itself around that one. Too much information loaded on me is cramming my brain and causing it to malfunction. At one point I even forgot my name while processing everything Otou-sama told me.
"Su ge...." I forced myself to speak. "So what can I do to participate in this plan?" I asked. "Act like you know nothing. Like I'm really dead. About a week from now Strauss will go to the company and request to buy it over. He'll convince all my business partners. I have also informed them of this. I have planned everything. I will wipe Strauss from the face of the market. He won't lose everything, but he will take certain damage and loss." Otou-sama ordered. Wow....my dad is really...savage and an evil genius at the same time.
I looked over at Natsu, who was talking happily to his mother, and I smiled.
"Oh, and the Dragneels are in on this too. They are one of the shareholders. So are the Eucliffes. They were both happy to help out, but what Dragneel doesn't know is his wife is safe and will be returning to him. It will be quite the surprise." Otou-sama grinned.
That was the first time I saw him grin. How rare.
After we had finished everything up, Natsu and I went home. We got more take outs since it was close to dinner and finished eating at home. We both slumped on the couch and Natsu switched on the TV as we sat in silence, staring at the programs. I switched it off after a while and turned to face Natsu, who was already facing me.
"Ne, Natsu." "Yeah, Luce?" "It wasn't a dream, was it?" I questioned. "No. It wasn't. It's real. My mom's here. And your dad's alive." He answered, putting an arm around me. "I feel as if everything was a dream. Like I would wake up right now and say to myself, 'Gahddammit it was all just a dream'." I told him honestly.
He leaned in and bit on my bottom lip hard, making me gasp in shock and pain. A little blood oozed out and he licked it away from my lips. Somehow I miss these times where we were in a little world of ours. "Being cheeky are we." I smiled and pressed my lips against his. He pulled away after a while and smirked. "It wasn't a dream was it?" My turn to be cheeky and greedy. "Uhn, I don't know. I need more convincing. Wanna help out?" I teased. "You sure? I'll be cold and unrelenting." He warned in a low voice.
Sexy and cold Natsu mode on. Scary.
"Let's see what you can do." I curled up a corner of my mouth.
Without hesitating, he slammed his lips on the side of my neck, kissing it hard, and biting it a little. I winced a little and accidentally let out a short moan. Dammit. He grinned against my skin and moved to the center of my neck, to the middle of my collarbone, and left another hickey. "Ahhh.......... Natsu..............itai.........." I inhaled sharply as he pinned my arms above my head and begin leaving a trail of fierce kisses on my arm, biting and licking my wrist. "Na-Natsu....ahh.....itai desu......" I whined while trying to keep in my moans. I felt ecstasy and pleasure, but the fact that I was enjoying Natsu having his way....."Shut up, Luce." He said huskily, finishing up with my other arm and moved to my legs. He slowly dragged down my skirt and ran a finger on my left leg, sending shivers all over me. He bit my right thigh and licked it, making more moans escape from me.
Wait...oh no.
"Look at that Luce. You're wet." Natsu smirked as he caressed my thighs and shifted to my stomach, nibbling on it with extra force that made me moan a notch too loud. "I-Itai....Na-Natsu.....yamete...." I whispered. The pleasure was too much. I had to control myself.
It got worse when Natsu attacked my lips next, cupping my cheek with one hand as he sucked on my lips and slipped his tongue in, surfing my body with his other hand. His hot gentle touch was just...
Shit.
Natsu pulled away and stared at me in satisfaction. I'm pretty sure I looked just the way he wanted; embarrassed, red-faced, sweating a little, and....the worst of all, wet.
"Look at what you did to my couch Luce." He pouted. I glared at him and hurled a throw pillow.
"You made me."
Surprise surprise~ did you like it? Wait don't tell me if you didn't I have zero self esteem. I added the scene at the back to lighten it up. Hehe...
