The wind settles still, with no intention of stirring.
The cool, frost filled night seems asleep in itself.
The eyes of the moon, seem to close ever so gently.
While hedgehogs lie snoring, deep underground.
The trees stand frozen, their leaves not making a peep
Flowers droop sleeping, with no signs to awake.
The silent night continues, with nothing to break it.
No one strolls though the street, shattering dreams with their racket.
The world had the same thought, to drift off to nowhere.
And oh, that freedom was truly enchanting.
Yet the silence was broken, with one ray of the sun.
And everyone forgot, well, except maybe one.
