Learning to dance in the rain

King Luke was looking through some old cardboard boxes when he stopped at a certain picture. A smile split his serious face. Now this brought back a fond memory.

Still an arrogant prince at the time, Luke was a workaholic with an arranged wife called Tammy. She was a shy yet optimistic girl and a lover of rain, but she was always disappearing. Often the servants would find her in the library, the garden or the kitchen, either smothered with dirt, nose deep in a book or whipping up something sweet. She was...a busy body.

Prince Luke had experienced this firsthand, when one rainy night he had decided to go to sleep only to find his bedchamber empty. He raced out of the room, yelling at servants like a madman. He cursed illiterate things under his breath like "incompetent woman". If anything happened to her, he was a dead man. Stumbling into the garden like a baby gazelle, he found a figure in the mist and rain.

Just like in the picture, there danced his storm in complete destruction. Tammy had an open umbrella in her left hand, but it didn't cover any part of her. Her sky-blue nightgown clung to her skin, soaked through with the frigid liquid that plastered her wavy, dark hair to her face as it fell from the heavens above. She laughed, dancing and splashing like a young child, completely unaware of his presence.

As he watched her dance in complete euphoria, a smile cracked away at his stone hard, wet face. His problem or storm was a phantom, casting shadows on his heart. She was a caged bird who had just been set free.

That's when it hit him, maybe instead of waiting for his storm (the kingdom's pressure and his new bride) to pass he should take it in his stride and dance in the rain.

Hi guys

I've been gone for so long. I missed you.

We had to write an essay inspired by a picture we had to bring. Let's just say that I don't sleep properly because I get so excited.

Please share this book with your friends, I really want people to get to know my stories.

Have an awesome day!

Peace out
