barbara: where are you?
niall james: hey sorry just read your text ,
niall james: im at a party, what's up ?
barbara: well okay ..
niall james: what is it ?
barbara: i want to talk about something but it can wait
niall james: you've been telling me that the other day , seriously what's bugging ya ?
barbara: i really dont wanna do it if you're drunk
niall james: do i type like i'm drunk ?
barbara: not really..
niall james: :)
niall james: whats upppp
barbara: can i call you?
niall james: erm . sure

"Hello?" Barbara said once the dial tone disappeared with people talking in the background.
"Hi! How is it going?"
"Really?" she said bitterly.
"Sorry.. habits." Niall left a little laugh.
"So.." Barbara trailed whilst biting her lips.
"Yeah?"
"Um," she paused. Trying to think what she was going to stay. But instead.. "When will you come back?"
"In a week."
"Oh, great."
"That's it?"
"Eh, no?" She said. "Are you.. busy?"
"Huh? No. Just here with quite a people. Ya can't hear me clearly, can you?"
"Yes, it sounds... crowded."
"Hold on.."
"What?"
"There. Better?"
Niall has moved to a better place where not many people were around, because she rarely heard people mumbling in the background. "Yeah."
"So, what do you want to tell me?"
She bit her lips again. "Actually, this thing.. keep popping into my head like multiple times." she paused. "And it left me wandering at night when i'm on my bed."
"Okay." he said.
There was a bit quiet pause before Barbara talk.
"About the kiss."
"Of course." Niall answered her fast.
"Niall."
"Barbara.." He sighed.
They both became quiet.
"I can't just.. go out, live my life and pretend like it didn't happen."
Niall exhaled before speaking. "I kissed you..." he paused for another exhale. "It was a mistake."
She could hear him sigh. "Mistake?"
"N- yes." he paused. "I'm sorry."
"Why is it a mistake?"
"...I don't- i don't know. Well, obviously, i stopped you from your panic attack and i don't know, i kissed you, i crossed the line."
"It doesn't mean anything to you?"
"It does."
"It does? This is so confusing."
"Y- yeah, only if it does to you too..?"
Barbara went quiet. She really didn't know what to say.
"Look, Barbara.... I like you. But i don't want that kiss ruins our friendship. So, i'll forget it if you want."
"I like you too."
"What?"
"Well, i like you too."
"Hmmmm. Alright.."
"I felt so much better now, that i told you."
"It does feel good, doesn't it?" they laughed.
"So, what do we do now?"
"Mmm.. i have no idea." he said and laughed. "Tell you what, when i come back, we're gonna have that ice cream that you've always wanted to try and we'll have a talk about this, us, to see where we're going. Sounds good?"
"Yeah." she smiled. "Sounds perfect."
"Okay!" he said with an excited tone. "I really can't wait to see you."
"Me too." she sighed. "Come back quick."
"Will do, love."
"Well, have fun now."
"Alright. See ya!"
