I could tell Jake was about to phase, and I had to do something.
"EDWARD! you are not helping anyone by coming here. I understand how much you love me, and I love you too. But I want to be with Jake. I am in love with Jake."
"He doesn't belong with you. He can hurt you if you get to close. I will never hurt you, and I will never leave you again."
I thought about him leaving, and knowing he can do it again, whenever he wanted. "Yes! Jacob Black. Yes!" my voice cracked towards the end.
I saw Jake calm himself long enough to process my answer. Then I was swept off my feet by his strong arms and pulled into a passionate kiss. A growl came from the corner of my room and when I looked around, Edward was gone. But there was a feeling inside me that knew he would be coming back
