Ok, so today Flynn went on a 'team building' work thingy and had to answer 'a hundred and fucking one!' questions that would enable his co-workers to get to know him better. Anyway, he brought home the list and then started randomly asking me some... I gotta say, I actually quite liked answering them! So, here are some of my favourites from the list!
Feel free to comment with your own answers!
1. What word do you always misspell?
Manouvere. Or is it, manouever? I hate this word! Manoeuvre (Spell checked!). Also, and this will be weird, but I really have to think before I spell Africa, because in my native language our 'f' is a 'v' sound, so to spell Africa, we have to use 'ff' which gives us the 'f' sound. So, is it Africa, or Affrica? It's the former.
2. Would you enjoy a holiday (vacation) away from all your technology?
It would depend on the holiday. If it's a city holiday, yes, because you can go out and see stuff and get to know a new culture. If it's a beach holiday (which I hate!), no. I'd need my iPod and my Kindle, at least.
3. What food do you crave the most?
Bakewell Tarts. Without the cherry. But with a cup of tea. Preferably.
4. What is the absolute worst movie you've ever seen?
The 80s version of Robocop. I turned it off within the first five minutes. It wasn't good.
5. When is lying the right thing to do?
When someone's feeling are on the line? 'Babe, does my shirt look ok?' 'Yeah, course it does.' Chances are, it doesn't look even the slightest bit 'ok.'
6. What is your version of, "There are two types of people in this world..."?
There are two types of people in the world: the Welsh, and the rest of the world.
7. What quote do you try to live by?
This might sound really nerdy because it's Star Wars, but Yoda's "Do or do not, there is no try" quote gets me every time.
8. Whose advice do you always listen to?
I wouldn't necessarily say that I always listen to her advice, but my mum is pretty much spot on with everything.
9. Are you old-fashioned?
In some respect, yeah. I'm progressive in a lot of ways, but a little old school in other ways. (Example?) I don't know... like, girls shouldn't wear makeup and heels until they're well into their teens? I hate seeing young girls dressing older than their years; it's creepy and really weird because I never dressed like a lot of 9-year-olds do now when I was their age.
10. Do you like rainy days or snowy winter nights?
Ok, I live in Wales. We literally only have one season- WET. It hardly ever snows here, and if by some miracle it does, it's probably in April. I like the rain, though.
11. Name 3 things in nature that you find most beautiful.
I'm not a nature person, but my top 3 would be the caterpiller-butterfly metamorphosis. The Northern Lights. Uluru (aka, Ayers Rock).
12. Which you your favourite part of the human face and why?
Eyes, because you can tell a lot about a person from their eyes. They are, after all, the windows to the soul.
13. What's your middle name?
Angharad.
14. How big is your bed?
Not big enough.
15. Which famous person, dead or alive, would you most like to be your mum/dad?
Audrey Hepburn. Because she was beautiful!
16. If you had to marry a fictional character- either from a film, tv show or book- who would it be? (Does it have to be one of my characters?) (No.)
Too hard to choose. I'm gonna be super lazy and name on of my own characters because otherwise, I'd be here all night choosing one from a legitimate movie/show/book. I'd marry Noah Miller... or Arastoo Vaziri from Bones.
17. If I gave you a four-year-old to look after, where would you take them for the day? (You know, no one would actually let me look after a four-year-old child. Alone.) (Hypothetically.)
A Planetarium. I think children should know that we're tiny and insignificant on Earth compared to what else is out there in an ever expanding universe.
18. Do you believe the world is random or that everything happens for a reason?
I believe that everything happens for a reason. I mean, it must. The world can't be that bloody random!
19. What is the one thing you want to talk about that other people tend to find boring?
Anything to do with facts. I'm a major nerd for weird facts and such, but people always switch off when I tell them something (that I find) interesting. Either that, or they laugh and roll their eyes, muttering that I'm weird. I just think that there's always something to learn, so make the most of it. Plus, one day, one of my facts might just help you win the Pub Quiz!
20. What is the one thing that people should know about you before they meet you?
I'm an INTP personality. I'm introverted and can sometimes come across as 'distant.' I'm probably not aware of other people's emotions and I get really awkward if someone cries. I've been called 'insensitive' more than once! I'm totally forgetful of everything- if it's not written down in my phone or diary, it's not going to stick.
I can sometimes come across as really condescending, but I don't mean to be like that- I find it hard to explain stuff in a way everyone would understand (it makes sense to me, but not to others) and if someone isn't following, I give up trying to explain. I've been told that people think I'm rude because I do that, but I just get frustrated with myself because I can't find the right words to explain it! It's nothing to do with the person, it's me!
Being an INTP means I have 'an inner world.' I live in a bubble and within my own mind a lot, and if something isn't in those two realms, then it's likely to not register on my radar. It does, however, mean that I have an overactive imagination. Not sure if that's a good thing of not.
Ok, now time to write tonight's update! In 28 minutes or less!
