On a high beam looking down,
on a tight rope falling down,
my feet dragging,
my mind lagging,
falling slowly behind as I dive farther from sanity.
losing grip of the real me as the new person in side slowly eats at her.
making the new me a reality and the old just a faint memory,
but is this what I want,
or that pesky voice just trying to take over the life once mine.
