"Fira"
"Fira"
The young Druid woke up with a cough trying to get the water out of her lungs, as her eyes adjusted to the light she noticed Wil standing over her with a look of worry etched across his features. A sigh made its way out of his mouth
"Thank goodness you're okay," he said a helped her up, "We have to find Amberle and Eritrea." the duo made their way inland
"Eritrea!" Wil yelled
"Wil, look." The boy turned his gaze to the rock that Fira was pointing at it as covered in blood
"Let's hurry." He said as he look her and continued to hastily look for his friends, they hadn't made it far before the heard a yell and before she could speak Fira had the air knocked out of her lungs as she was tackled to the ground.
Wil quickly pushed her assailant off" Whoa, what are you doing?" He said with his arms around Fira's waist in a protective manner, he quickly let go though as the young male came at him again but , Wil quickly dogged his attacks resulting in the assailant finding his way back to the ground.
"Come on man, you're hurting yourself." Before he could continue the assailant swept him of his feet and was quickly over him with a rock in his hand
"Hold on, why we just calm down, come on don't put the rock down." Fira said calmly with her hand outstretched to the young male
"You guys are one of them, aren't you?" The man said with panic in his voice
"One of who?" Fira said as she gingerly approached him
"The Elf hunters that took my ear!" His tone had quickly changed from panic to anger
"Oh no, it's okay look I'm half elf." Wil said as he pushed his hair behind his ears
The assailant slowly put the rock down and Fira helped them both up

"This will stop the bleeding." Wil said as he gently placed the herbs on the young elf's wound
"Wow it feels good ... real good."
"This particular combo is also good for recreational use, "Wil said "Tell me more about these hunters."
"Umm, they're human, hate elves, they hunt is down and harvest our ears."
"Harvest them, harvest them for what?" Fira asked
"Gnomes, they think elves ears have some sort of medicinal properties, by this time next week my left ear will be ground up in some horny Gnome's tea."
"We're traveling with two other friends and I'm worried that these hunters might have snatched them." Fira shared
The young elf sighed "Any of your friends and elf," Fira and Wil slowly nodded "Then you should be worried."

Elsewhere
"Eritrea." Amberle yelled as she tried to catch up with Eritrea, "Look we have to go back."
"You're not safe back there."
"And so we just leave Wil and Fira?!" Amberle exclaimed
"No, of course not, we find cover and then we look for them once night falls." Before they could continue their discussion an arrow soared throw the air
"Run." They broke into sprint, Amberle tripped and dropped her sword,
"Amberle, come on." Eritrea urged, the princess got up and they continued running, they both lunge toward a slope and roll down losing the hunters.
"That was close."
"Yeah, no kidding"
" You know I feel like there is always something watching over us, I font know if it magic or fat-" Before Amberle could finish they heard a twig snap and they both fell though the ground and landed in some kind of building.
Eritrea groaned as she slowly got up," Are you okay?" Amberle slowly nodded
"Where are we?" Amberle groaned as she looked around the room full of chairs, balloons and lots of streamer. "I've heard of places like this building from the age of man buried during the Great War."
"You can't seriously believe that, they would have rotted away by now."
"They were sealed and preserved like a butterfly caught in amber," she said as she traces through the dust covered tables "It's almost like they were going to have a party."
"Place is creepy if you ask me." Eritrea said as she gingerly walked around, screeches echoed as a colony of bats exited the room through the whole the girls fell from
"Whatever this place is, we need to get out of here and fast before this elf hunters find us."

Back to Fira and Wil
The trio slowly made their way towards the hunters camp and hid behind a log
"When they cut of my ear the pain ... when they went for the other one my partner Genewen fight back and I escaped, I think they have her in there, maybe your friends too." The elf said as he pointed towards a cage
"What were you two doing out here?" Wil asked
"We were on a scouting mission, we come from Olden Moor, some of the elven villages were coming under attack by Demons, and so we started scouting missions to warn the outlying villages."
At the mention of Demons, Fira's heart raced it was her job to keep this realm safe but as the Ellcrys got weaker so did she, how was she supposed to protect the realm if she can't even protect her friends, when she can't even protect Eritrea.

Elsewhere
"They had no idea there world was about to end, they look happy."
"Well they look dead to me." Eritrea stated
"You know you can drop the whole tough girl act, Fira already likes you." as Amberle said this a blush creeped up Eritrea's cheek a simple mention of the Druid was enough to make her heart race
"Put down the book princess, let's go find a way it of this hellhole." Eritrea quickly said as she light up the torch trying to hide her red cheeks

With Fira and Wil
"Hunters ,move out "
Wil ran up to Fira and the elf , he turned Perk "They are going after my friends as soon as we find them we'll come back and help you get Genewen back, you have my word now will you wait."
"I'll wait but only because I owe you my life." But even before the duo were out of sight, Perk jumped over the log, grabbed an axe and headed towards the hunter.
"Little one, you came back ... you owe me another ear.' The hunter then the elf to the ground and took his dagger out as he prepared himself to harvest the other ear
"You sure you want to do that." Wil's voice echoed as he placed his sword on the hunter's neck
"Now about our friends tell us where you last saw them." Fira said as she slowly circled the man
"Why bother they're probably dead already, Zora she's the best hunter this side of the Drey Wood
"It's all you, Perk." Fira said and the elf put the dagger next to the hunter's ear
"Wait, wait...okay, Head east past the tree line, follow the game trail. That's where they disappeared, I swear that's all I know."
"Thanks you did the right thing "Wil motioned to Perk, "Go ahead"
"What, no please?"
"it's okay tough guy torture isn't really my thing." Perk said as he gently slapped the man's face the elf suddenly slit the hunter's throat "Taking out a serial elf kill on the other hand is a top priority."
"You didn't have to do that." Wil gasped
"Kill or be killed, that's the only way."
"No it's not that makes you just as bad as he is." Fira yelled
"He got what he deserved I'm not sorry." Perk left the scene and ran towards the cage, "give me a hand."
"Hey girl, you okay?"
"That is Genewen?" Wil asked in awe
"Let's go save your friends." Perk said as he unchained Genewen, the trio mounted the creature
"I'm coming Eritrea."

A screech was heard as a shadow darkened the room Wil and Fira came down on two ropes hanging from Genewen, Fira kicked Zora in the face
"Wil!" He took out a dagger and cut Amberle free
Fira ran towards Eritrea and embraced her, "You're alive." The rover breathed
"Of course I am." Fira cupped her cheeks and pulled her in to a kiss as she let her worry melt away, her rover was safe, they let go as they gasped for air
"Are you hurt?" Fira shook her head
"No, are you?" Fira asked
"No."
"Come on you guys lets go." Wil said as he tugged the rope, the girls made their way to the rope and held tight as they were pulled up
"Hold on." It all happened in slow motion an arrow went soaring through the air and hit Eritrea she lost grip of the rope and landed on to the ground.
"Eritrea, no!" Fira shrieked but she could do nothing as they were already in the air, the Druid had just got her love only to lose her again.
