You glanced over the ocean of unfamiliar faces in hope of seeing the one that never failed to make your day brighter. For what seemed like the millionth time today, you nervously glanced down at your watch, waiting for the time to pass.
Calum's flight landed 8 minutes ago, and you couldn't help but be anxious for his arrival. He had been on tour for about three months with his band, and although he made sure to call, text or face time, it just wasn't the same as actually being there with him and time zones were tough. Of course you supported him and his dreams, but things got quite lonely without your boyfriend there.
And then you seen him and a huge smile broke on your face as you raced towards him. He then caught sight of you and started running towards you, as well. Once you reached him, he embraced you into a giant bear hug, happy to be with you finally.
Although you both didn't want to let go 'till the end of time, you did and helped him with his stuff. The car ride was mainly the both of you screaming out song lyrics, totally off from the actual song. Things were still the same between you, and that made you happy.
Once you got home, you started talking about what you did over the three months. He spoke about how he had a great time performing and how the fans were great, and joked about how staying in a tour bus with the boys sucked. You told him how your life wasn't nearly as interesting as his and you didn't do anything that great. But once you started talking about how hard it was living without him, he shushed you.
"I missed you too, Y/N, but that doesn't matter. What does matter is that I'm here, right now. And that I love you." He smiled, giving your hand a tight squeeze.
You blushed. This was the first time he'd said that. "I'm sorry. I love you, too, Calum."
He leaned forward, his lips millimeters away from yours. "There's nothing to be sorry about, Y/N." And with that he closed the gap between the two of you.
