Naomi's POV

"He's like a two year old sometimes I swear." The petite women said as she walked in front of me and I laughed.

I had let Roman take me back to his house, and there, I had finally met this famous AJ that he always talked about.

I had seen her before that one time that I had spent the weekend over here, but never had really gotten introduced. She treated Roman like her son, though she was clearly younger than him, and as from the small conversation we've already had this far, she seemed really cool.

"So," she said as we walked outside to a small sitting area, "I just wanna say that I do already know about you and Roman's little... Past."

"Oh." I mumbled while I sat down, "Well yes, but like you said. It's in the past."

"Yeah and I can also sense that it's bullshit." She said to me, "I know Roman. I know the kinda man he is. He a dick, a prick, a asshole. You, aren't. And I can tell. You aren't afraid of him like most, your different."

"Geez," I say with a small laugh, "You can read all that off me and we just met?"

She shrugged, "Roman says that I'm Psycho, like I can tell the future and stuff."

I laugh slightly, "Psycho means crazy. You mean physic."

"Yeah but he says Psycho..." She mumbled, "I'm gonna kill him in his sleep one day I swear."

I laughed, "Someone may beat you to it."

"See!" She said with a smile, "I like you because you understand my sick and twisted humor! You don't find many people who appreciate that."

I smiled at her as the wind blew around us and she yawned.

"This is my favorite napping spot," she explained, "I sleep her a lot."

"Why don't you sleep in your room?" I asked her.

She shrugged, "I don't like being confined in four walls and closing my eyes. It's like, a fear of mine that I developed from my husband."

"You have a husband?" I asked her and she lifted up her left hand, showing me her ring.

"Widow." She said.

"Oh..." I mumbled, "I'm sorry."

She waved it off, "Oh it's alright. I'm not gonna live every day being sad about it. He wouldn't want me to."

I gave her a smile and she smiled back.

"Can I just say thank you, though?" She asked me.

"Why?" I asked her.

"You may not see it," she said to me, "But you've changed him. A lot, and for the good too. He smiles a lot more. He actually helps me clean when he's not tired from work. I can tell he thinks about you a lot. I know your heart belongs to someone else, but he changed because of you."

I gave her a small smile but couldn't help but to think of her words.

My heart belongs to someone else?

Maybe it did...

But not in the way she was thinking...

"What are you ladies out here discussing?" I hear Roman's voice ask and I turn around to see him walking in our direction.

AJ shrugged, "Killing you."

"Interesting topic." Roman said with a small laugh as though he had expected her to say something along those lines.

"Hey," AJ said, "Can I have the night off... I mean, I'm taking tonight off regardless of what you say, but I was just asking to look profession in front of our guest."

"Your wearing a white t-shirt with a glittery spider on it and now you're worried about looking professional?" He asked her with a small laugh.

She shrugged, "Gotta start somewhere."

Roman sighed, "Yes you can have the night off."

"Thank you Roach." She said to him and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Don't call me that." He groaned as she stood up and walked back towards the house.

"Whatever!" She shouted back as she continued to the house, "I'll be gone in 20 minutes!"

"Sorry about her." He said to me with a small laugh.

"Don't be." I say to him, "She's nice. Funny too. I can see why you like her so much. You shouldn't call her Psycho. That's mean."

"It's a joke." He said while laughing, "Trust me, I'm only kidding. I love her. And if I didn't, she'd push me into my pool, drown me, save me, and make me love her. Her words, not my own."

"You have a pool?" I asked him and he nodded, "You're house is seven times bigger than mine, geez."

He shrugged, "It's one thing to have it all, but it's another to actually enjoy it. I work so much, I barley know my way around my own house."

"That's sad." I say to him, "Take time off."

He scoffed, "When exactly? I won't get a day off until I pass the company onto Joelle."

"Does she wanna take it over?" I asked him and he shook his head.

"She wants to be a wrestler." He said with a sigh, "Don't ask. I think it's just a phase and she'll get over it. We have to keep the family line alive and she's next in line until you and Jimmy decide to have kids, or if Jey eventually decided to have some."

I shrug, "I don't think she should have to if she doesn't want to. That's a life decision Roman. Do you want her as stressed as you are everyday?"

"That's a good point." He mumbled with a sigh, "I mean, I barley spend time with her and then I'm just suppose to assume that she'll take over one day."

"We'll spend time with her." I say to him, "When you have free time. Everytime I talk to her on the phone, she's talking about you,"

"Funny." He said with a smile, "because every time I talk to her, she's talking about you."

I give him a smile back as the wind blew around us.

"So you wanna tour my home?" He asked me, "But I promise that the chances of us both getting lost, are high."

*****

"So you have this table, but you don't know how to play?" I asked him with a laugh as I looked at the pool table in the game room.

"Sounds about right," he admitted, "I didn't even know I had a game room."

"Liar." I say to him and he laughed.

"I'm serious." He admitted, "I didn't know I had a laundry room either."

"You are ridiculous." I say to him with a laugh and he smiled.

"I don't like here," he said, "This is just were a sleep and eat. AJ lives here, cleans here, eats here, sleeps here. This is her house and I just pay the bills."

"Sounds accurate though." I say as I look around the room and my eyes land on a gaming system and I gasp, "You have a Nintendo 64?! I haven't seen one of these since I was a kid!"

He shrugged, "I use to practically play it everyday. Gave it to Jojo and I thought she had lost it or something. Didn't even know it was up here."

"I'll have to play you at a game." I say to him with a smile.

"Yes you will," he said, "but later. I'm pretty sure I have another have another game room around here somewhere."

"Why would you have 2 game rooms?" I ask him as we walked.

"Cause I'm rich and stupid so come on." He said with a slight laugh and grabbed my arm, leading me down the hallway.

For the next half hour, we continued to tour the house, Roman finding three additional rooms that he had no clue that were even there before we had reached the end of the tour.

"And this," he said while opening the door, "Is the way back down to the kitchen."

I laugh as I looked into the room, "This is a bed room."

"Oh." He said, "Damn.... Wait, this is my room... I know where we are now!"

"You are so ridiculous." I say to him.

"I told you I barley knew my own house," he said to me as I entered the spacious room.

The first time I'd ever came into this room, was the first night I had slept with Roman. The memory was still fresh, but I had never take in the appearance of the room.

It was big, but also clean, minus a few stray clothes that littered the floor. It was well lit from the large window that had door attached to it, which lead out onto a balcony and was currently displaying the beautiful pinkish, orangish, purplish sunsetting sky.

There was what seemed like a door that lead to a specious bathroom, and a door that lead into a large walk in closet. The large bed was pushed against on of the back and the wall in front of it was a large dresser with a flat screed TV on the wall. A mini fridge in the corner just to top it all off.

"I'd never leave this place." I mumbled as I walked in, "You got it all up here. A bathroom, you can go outside. A freaking fridge."

He laughed, "It's not great. My favorite is the balcony."

I smiled slightly as he grabbed my hand and lead me over to the balcony, opening the door and the two of us walking out onto it.

"It's gorgeous out here." I say to him as I looked up at the sky.

He smiled, "Yeah. It reminds me of my childhood back in Florida."

"I though you've always been from here?" I asked him, "Jimmy said so."

He rolled his eyes, "Because he didn't like Florida like I did. It was our younger years too, I was like, 5 or 6. I loved the sand, the water, all of it."

"Why don't you move there?" I asked him.

"Because the company is here." He said to me, "We've already established the HQ here in New York. There's no sense in changing it all again, I put this company before my childish wishes."

"They're not childish." I say to him, "Florida is beautiful. I use to live there when I was younger. I know what it's like to miss the sky because it's all covers up with city lights. Jimmy doesn't get it."

"Because he loves the city." He said, "It's fast pace and he craves it. It's just not my favorite. Which is why I don't live directly in the city."

"It's nice out here." I say to him.

He nodded and I felt his thumb brush over the back of my hand, forgetting that he was still holding it.

I sighed to myself. This was borderline perfect. The house, the view, the moment. The only think that was missing was Jimmy... And was really debating if it was really a factor...

I was to a point where I was ready to end this engagement... But he wouldn't even see it coming.

Jimmy thinks everything is perfect, and in it honestly is. There are no problems between us, but yet there was a very big one that he was unaware of.

I found myself often thinking Roman may be the better pick. But I have to remind myself that Roman isn't Jimmy... But my mind changes it to Jimmy isn't Roman.

Roman isn't all for relationships and I know that, but I seemed so much easier...

"Your thinking about him." He said to me, "Aren't you."

"Can't help it." I mumbled softly.

He nodded, "When's the wedding?"

"Two weeks from this Saturday." I say with a sigh, "We may have to push it back with him being gone. He still has to get fitted for a tux and everything."

"Well if you really love him, this'll all be over with soon and you two can be happy." He said to me.

"Yeah." I mumbled again.

Did I love Jimmy? Yes. I really did. He was such a good man... But I just don't want to hurt him, not like this. I could see if we were having problems, but we're not.

"Are you coming?" I asked Roman, "To the wedding?"

He shrugged, "Probably not."

"Jimmy would want you there." I reason to him, "I... Wanna see you there."

He shrugged, "I'll see..."

I nodded and found myself laying my head on his shoulder slightly.

"So much for loosing feelings." He mumbled and I sighed.

"It's just the first day." I say to him.

He shook his head and unwrapped his hand around mine, then gently moved me in front of him, wrapping his arms around me and resting his chin on my head.

"Doesn't matter." He mumbled.

I stayed quiet but made no move to move from my position.

"He doesn't do this." I say quietly.

"What?" He asked me back softly as I looked at my left hand, staring at the diamond ring.

"Hold me like you do." I say to him as I found my right hand moving to my left, slowly taking the ring off and setting it on small coffee table.

The minute the ring was off, I felt some type of freedom that I didn't have when I wore it.

But when Roman took my hand into his, I felt the same feeling of being claimed, come back. But it was different

I didn't feel guilty. I felt a sense of joy. Happiness, maybe? But I was happy with Jimmy.... But with Roman I was... In love...
