Josh on the side ;)

-

Lunch came by real quick and to my utter disappointment there were no signs of that intoxicating smell from first period.

Did I believe my wolf when she said mate? No. Yes. Maybe. I wouldn't know I had to see it for myself. I met up with my friends in front of the lunch room since we decided early on that we'd all go in together.

"I say there's no harm in joining the team." Michael told us as we made our way to the line.

"Its like were betraying Auburn." Savannah pointed out taking an apple from a stack.

"Have you ever heard of the 'keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer?'" Josh added stacking his tray with burgers and fries.

I did the same taking a burger and some curly fries. "It's not like we need to spy on Westhill." I commented shrugging my shoulders.

Castiel laughed at that. "Easy for you to say you dominate the soccer team." Westhill might suck at any other sport but they were definitely impressively unbeatable with their football team.

Savannah shrugged her shoulders. "What's so hard with slamming into somebody?" She never did get the quarter backs and their thing.

"It's more than just slamming." Castiel frowned. "Besides you're one to talk what's so hard about dancing and throwing around your pompoms?"

Savannah growled at her brother slamming her tray down an empty table. "We do not throw around our pompoms." She flipped her hair making her perfectly blonde hair bounce. "Cheerleading is very competitive thank you very much."

Michael and Josh stifled laughs at her. "Competitive?" Josh mocked.

"If you say so." Michael said patting Savannah's shoulder teasingly.

Savannah clenched her jaw before slamming her six inch heel down Josh's foot making him yelp.

In normal circumstances I would have joined their banter but I was just too distracted and out of it as I looked around trying to find the scent but to no avail.

Castiel nudged me. "Is everything okay?"

I looked back meeting his blue eyes and smiled. "Good I'm not that hungry I guess." I said pushing my tray away from me. Michael didn't have to ask me as he grabbed my tray's contents and shoving it down his throat.

Castiel was about to reply when a Shadow Fang member from across our table slammed his palm down the table his burning angry eyes looking right at us or what I think was us. Did I insult this guy today? I don't think so. Michael and Josh though-

Riley a senior from our pack who sat behind us started laughing cockily at the angry boy. Oh, dear. RIley Shaw the self proclaimed bad boy starting another fight. Bliss I tell you.

"Know your place Blood howler!" The angry boy shouted pointing a finger at Riley.

Riley smirked back at the boy taunting him further. I'm amazed at how even though my pack was off territory they still found themselves being smug and confident.

Riley's group snickered at the boy and the other Shadow Fang members that started to get up from their seats. Here it comes.

The boy suddenly flipped his table and lung towards Riley who was smirking and meeting the boy head on.

Blood howler and Shadow Fang collided all around except for our table. I rolled my eyes as a boy landed roughly on our table. Michael and Josh waited expectantly for someone to punch them so they could get in on the fight. Bodies were flying everywhere and when the boys had enough of waiting Michael growled in annoyance popping his knuckles. "Fuck this I'm going in." He said grabbing Josh and Castiel as they jabbed at the nearest Shadow fang.

The humans all stirred clear from the fighting and surprisingly not one person made a move to hit us. Savannah sighed heavily staring at her nails in boredom. For werewolves fighting was a necessity. We were all used to it.

A man started storming into the lunch room screaming his lungs out trying to stop the commotion. Savannah grabbed for my arm making her way to the hallway as the sprinklers of the lunch room suddenly turned on to break off all the fighting.

I breathed out happy that I didn't get wet. Leave it to Savannah to keep an eye out for our dryness.

The man that came in started shouting out orders. "All of you to the gymnasium now!" He yelled making everyone sigh.

The boys gave us goofy smiles as they got out of the lunch room unharmed yet drenched.

"Really boys?" Sav huffed crossing her arms and tapping her boots on the floor.

"We couldn't let Riley and his dweebs have all the fun." Michael smirked making Savannah rolled her eyes.

Castiel moved beside me. "Did you get hurt?" He asked looking at me worriedly.

I smiled at him loving how caring he was. "I'm perfectly fine." I assured him.

He searched my face for a few seconds before nodding and taking my bag from my shoulders. We made our way to the gymnasium as wet teenagers littered the bleachers.

The bleachers were divided into two groups the Blood Howlers to the right and Shadow Fangs to the left. I found us a spot three rows up and sat down in between Savannah and Castiel.

Shadow Fangs were sending us dirty looks I just rolled my eyes on how pathetic they were and mentally praised my pack for only smirking back at them.

The man from the lunch room came storming in he was apparently the principal and a werewolf though not from both packs he looked to be from some lower ranking pack. He eyed us all angrily before pointing towards Riley.

"You! Mr. Shaw!" He growled. "Care to explain what happened?" Now that wasn't fair! Riley didn't give the first hit and in my book you only get in trouble if you strike first. That's how it is isn't it? No? Damn.

Riley smug and prideful shrugged at him. "Ask pig face over there." He said looking to the other side of the bleachers.

Pig face had a cut lip and a huge black eye but he stood up sending a death glare. "Blood howlers shouldn't be here!" He snapped. Other members cheered with him.

My pack merely raised their eyebrows as though the thought was laughable. I am swelling with love for the moon goddess gave me awesome pack members. Thank you moon Goddess!

Pig face suddenly met with my eyes. "Luna over there acts so innocent and above all of us it's disrespectful." He pointed his filthy at me. I wanted to laugh at how pathetic he was he didn't have any proof of my pack violating him so he points his cheap finger at me? Poor boy.

It's then that my pack all growled menacingly all the smug and playfulness gone as I got pointed out.

Castiel, Michael and Josh stood from their chairs ready to pounce as others came in front of me as a sign of protecting me. I pushed them all down to their seats. I didn't need protection from a lowly pig faced boy.

"Shove it, pig face. My pack has done nothing to yours." I defended my voice raising as I felt my alpha blood boiling.

He squirmed under my gaze. Our pack and their pack suddenly went dead silent as we all stared at each other waiting for the other to react.

It was then that the gym doors flung open revealing none other than my dad flanked by Andy and Ryan.

All eyes suddenly focused on them you could almost hear the other packs fear. My dad made his way towards us his eyes cold and blazing at the same time. I guess for the others my father's quite scary but to me he's just being my dad. He's a big softie to be honest but alas I can't tell anyone for his bad Alpha reputation would be broken.

The Principal froze turning to meet my dad. "A-alpha" He stuttered his face plaing instantly.

My dad clenched his jaw irritatedly. "What happened?"

"There was a fight." The principal said the obvious making my dad raise his eyebrows. "Mr. Shaw-"

"Riley didn't do anything!" Josh shouted standing up from his seat beside Michael. "He didn't even throw the first punch." See?! I was right! The first punch gets in trouble not the second.

My dad took a step closer to the principal. "If I find out you're taking sides Ronald..." He purposely trailed off sending the principal into panic you could hear his heart beat from the parking lot I could bet I'm surprised he hasn't gotten a heart attack not to mention he's shaking like a lost puppy.

"I would never!" Ronald cried out taking a step back. "I respect both packs equally."

My dad stood there before casting a glance at all of us not bothering to even look at the Shadow Fangs. His golden orbs found mine as we locked eyes. "Good." He finally said with that my dad turned to leave probably to do more of his patrolling or whatever he was doing.

You could hear the heart beats that hammered at my dads appearance. The Shadow Fangs might be tough but they knew deep down that if they even showed one act of disrespectfulness they would be good as dead.

"Get back to class." Ordered the principal when he finally found his voice.

-

Advance Lit was even more boring than history and geography thankfully Michael had the same class and out of all the guys Michael and I were the closest since growing up his father Mason, my dads third is moms guard which allowed Michael and I to bond.

I remember little Michael singing to me to stop me from crying when my ice cream fell to the ground resorting to him making me a cheese sandwich as a replacement, he was only about six or seven. Michael's the sweetest player you'd ever meet and it's cute how he only ever shows his sweet side to me.

I was staring into space when he leaned towards me from the side a playful smile on his lips.

"Party at my house tonight?" He whispered even though half of the class could hear him thanks to our wolf hearing.

I returned the smile. "Why will there be a pack meeting?" Michael always hosted the best parties whenever the adults would go to the pack meeting.

"You tell me you're the alpha's daughter." He teased the smirk in his face widening.

I fake pouted at him. "I've been a very bad daughter so I wouldn't know."

"A very naughty daughter?" He cooed making me slap him in a playful manner.

"Michael!" I hissed trying to hide my smile.

He chuckled looking into my eyes. "What's really the problem?" He asked knowing that something was bothering me.

It was just so mysterious the smell and suddenly it was gone like the moon goddess was teasing me with my mates smell. What if he was my mate? The only other wolves here were rogues. I closed my eyes in annoyance the Shadow Fang pack were about the only werewolves here and after our little spat I know for sure that they hate me.

Plus all the Shadow Fang members were there at the bleaches earlier did that mean that he wasn't a Shadow Fang?

"I'm just distracted." I answered vaguely looking out the window.

Michael rolled his eyes at me. "Obviously." He stared at me for a long time looking concerned. "You're scaring Castiel." He suddenly whispered.

I frowned. I was being a major prick. I haven't even noticed him much today. Which was odd but some part of me mostly my wolf was telling me something in Westhill was here.

"I'm worried about you." Michael added putting a firm hand on my shoulder.

I reached for him then squeezing his muscled arm affectionately. "You're an amazing best friend you know that?"

He shrugged a smug smirk on his face. "Of course I know."

I laughed at that and leaned towards him to peck his cheek.

-

Physical Education came faster than expected. As the girls strapped down to their sports bras and headed out to the field to do some track and field.

Platinum blonde watched us with distaste making me roll my eyes that girl just never gives up. Savannah flicked her the finger making the girl humph and stalk away followed by a red head who tried but failed to shoot us an intimidating glare.

"That witch is getting on my last nerve." Savannah growled. "Usually you'd step in this girl in an instant what's stopping you now? You've been so detached today."

I held my breathe Savannah's my bestest girl friend it was just right to tell her that I think I found my mate right? She deserved to know.

Savannah pulled on her purple rubber shoes before looking up to me expectantly. I have never ever lied to her in my life I should just suck it up and tell her.

I opened my mouth when a whistle blew signally us to leave the lockers and head to the track.

She shrugged chewing on her gum. "Talk later about it?" She said flashing me a winning smile before grabbing mhy arm and tugging me to the exit.

The boys were waiting for us outside as they pointed to girls and probably calling dibs on them. "I've been thinking," Michael started wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"Well that's new." I teased. He grunted lifting me in his arms like a bride and twirling me till I was dizzy. "Okay, okay! I'm sorry!" I screamed holding on to him tighter.

He chuckled grinning down at me. "As I was saying," Michael walked back to an amused looking Sav and Josh. "We should total join the sport teams. It's only fair we give them some of our talent." I felt him flex his muscles.

Savannah rolled her eyes. "If you mean to make you more popular with girls you don't need it."

Michael smirked interested. "Keep talking." He pressed bumping Sav with my dangling legs.

"Girls in all shapes and sizes have been talking about you guys. You especially, Michael." She explained as we walked to the field me still in Michael's arms.

"No surprise there." I added jumping down from him landing gracefully on my feet.

"Like you girls are any different." Josh said stretching his arms pulling his tight shirt up revealing some of his abs.

"What does that supposed to mean?" I said clueless and confused.

Michael's arm found itself around my shoulders again. "It means you girls have been the talk around the boys locker too."

"You boys were compared to Titus." Savannah retorted.

I froze at the name stopping in my tracks. Titus. It ran shivers in my spine like the name was so important to me. "The football guy? Castiel's archenemy?" Josh asked looking at Savannah.

Michael looked down on me concerned. I smiled at him reassuring him as I walked faster to catch up with Sav. I wanted to know more about this Titus boy. "The one and only." She answered stopping in front of the track. "He's like a god in Westhill people literally fall around him."

"Harries! Bancroft! Fifteen laps around the track now!" Screamed the over weight coach. I frowned guess I had to find other ways to know about Titus.

The boys patted our backs before jogging away to meet the other boys from the class who were doing push ups on the side.

I loved running ever since I was in middle school but I just couldn't stop thinking about Titus. I know I've heard of him before why was his name making me feel so weird now? It's frustrating.

-

The bell sounding our freedom rang through the whole school. I smiled wiping the sweat off my forehead I glaced at Savannah who stretched her arms. "I'm heading to the showers." I told her. "Are you coming?" I asked motioning to the lockers.

Savannah shook her head. "There's this squad practice today. I wanna see what these pups can do."

I smirked at her. "Give them hell, Sav." It made her smile deviously before heading to the gym where the squad was probably practicing.

"Meet you at Michael's!" She yelled from across the field. I waved back nodding.

I took a cold shower and quickly got dressed taking my things from the locker and heading out to the parking lot. Castiel was leaning on my car looking down on his phone he finally looked up when he heard me and flashed me his megawatt smile.

"Hey," He greeted giving me a peck on the lips.

I smiled when he pulled back. "Hello to you too." Castiel suddenly pulled out a pink bouquet of tulips from behind him. "What's this?" I asked taking the flowers clutching them close to my chest.

He kneeled down romantically as if he was from a book or a movie. "Will you Gabrielle Quinn Bancroft accompany me, Justin Castiel Harries to Michael's party tonight?" He was looking up at me with his bright shining blue eyes making me laugh pulling him up to kiss him.

I've been with Castiel for over two years already and he still pulled off cute little things like this. He made me feel special. He smiled through the kiss. "Yes." I whispered.

"Get a room!" Michael shouted making his way to us Josh right behind him.

Castiel rolled his eyes at his friends wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "Same time tonight then Michael?" Castiel asked cooly.

"You know it man." Michael said high fiving the two other boys he pointed at me as he lifted an eyebrow. "You, little lady are coming right?"

I nodded smiling. "Of course this is me were talking about I'm always game for a party." Not.

-

My parents of course agreed for me to go over to the Andersons. It was like that here, my dad might not trust just anyone with me but when it came to his Beta and Third he trusted them with his life and apparently mine's as well.

The adults have long left for the meeting which is held in a clearing far north about an hour ago. I looked at myself through my full length mirror studying my black tube dress. I've curled my hair like usual my normal make up was on and perfect. I was just about to text Savannah when I heard Castiel's car pull up.

I ran down the stairs carefully since I sucked so badly when wearing heels. I made it down without tripping as I did a funny dance to celebrate my amazing heel skills. I cleared my throat and opened the door for Castiel.

He was handsome as ever. He was wearing a white shirt over his old grey Auburn letterman jacket with faded jeans. "Princess," I smiled taking the hand he offered me.

The party was in full swing by the time we got there. Beer bottles and cups littered Michael's lawn music was blasting through the neon-lit house. Castiel opened my car door for me as he lead us to the front door where Josh was waiting passing Castiel a bottle and me a can of coke. I gave Josh a one armed hug as he fist bumped with Castiel.

They were talking about something that boys talked about before I excused myself to find my other friends meaning, Savannah and Michael. Yes, my circle of friends only consisted of them but hey, they are my best friends and most people can't stand them.

I found Savannah already drunk laughing with Michael who looked up and gave me a bear hug. "You came!" He shouted through the loud music.

I sat down with Savannah laughing with her and Michael as we watching Riley and some girl grind on each other like there was no tomorrow. The night was filled with dancing around and drinking my coke with my occasional beer. It was about one in the morning when I told Castiel I had to go home but his hands were full as Savannah was sprawled on the backyard hurling.

Michael pulled me to him sober as ever. "C'mon I'll take you home. You know how Savy is when she's drunk. Cas has to take her home before she pukes out her organs."

It was just like Michael to step in like that I kissed Castiel good night him apologizing for not being able to take me home. I hugged Sav when she was stable enough to not puke on me as Michael took me to his car. I waved good bye to Josh who was just as drunk as Savannah feeling up a girl I' couldn't recognize. I shook my head at them we all had school tomorrow for goodness sake.

I arrived home just in time beating my parents there. I kissed Michael's cheek good night thanking him before opening the door of his car to leave. He waited for me to get in the house before driving away.

Even with everything that happened today I lay there in my bed thinking of one name, Titus.
