Rolling her eyes at Grim's latest message, Ava shut her computer down and retrieved her backpack as it was time for her to head to school once more.
When she walked outside, her friend was waiting outside to drive them. Hopping into the passenger's seat, her friend immediately began to bombard her with questions. "Why do you look so happy? Have you been talking to someone? Is it a boy? It's a boy, isn't it? What's his name? Does he go to our school? Where does he live?"
Ava sighed exasperatedly as her friend began to drive down the street. "Am I not supposed to be happy, Taylor?" she questioned, shooting her friend a look. "You know boys aren't the only thing that cause happiness."
Taylor scoffed, "Yeah, whatever you say."

The two arrived at school a little while later and were heading down the hallway when Ava stopped in the middle of the hall, her mouth dropping. Taylor looked at her friend, and then in the direction she was looking -- and her face lit up immediately.
"It was a boy," she said triumphantly, dashing over to Ava's locker. It was covered in colourful post-it notes, reading different messages like "Have a good day at school, love!," "I can't wait to talk to you later," and, the most mortifying to Ava, "Your everlasting lover! <3"
"Why didn't you tell me about him?" her friend squealed, grabbing her arm; people walking by gave them many strange looks and laughed amongst themselves.
Grim was going to get it this time.
