Zoe's P.O.V
Poppy and I walked down the hospital corridor. It smelt of disinfectant and our shoes squeaked along the shining floor. Neither of us spoke. I didn't know what to say; it was partly my fault that Alfie was in this state and I felt awful... And Poppy was his sister! I know she's my friend too but I felt that she might blame me for this whole thing.
Poppy's P.O.V
I honestly thought that Mark, Alfie and Zoe were super close. I definitely thought that nothing like this would ever happen. I reached out for Zoe's hand and squeezed it to show that I didn't blame her.
"You okay? I'm sure he'll be fine, you'll sort it all out." I smiled at her. She turned and gave me an anxious smile and squeezed my hand appreciatively in return.
Zoe's P.O.V
We rounded the corner onto the ward that Alfie was staying on. I was so desperate to see him and apologise for my outburst.
"ALFIE!" I saw his head turn in curiosity, he had a deep cut on his forehead, his arm was in a cast and his leg was up in a splint. He looked awful.
