Eventually everyone had to head home, but they all agreed to meet in the Rose Café tomorrow around noon. Levi and Eren were the last two to leave; Levi cleaning because he couldn't "stand to leave the filth where it was," and Eren because he was kind of helping with the cleaning.
The boys walked down the sidewalk, Eren playing with his thumbs. It was hot, so he'd worn a t-shirt like everyone else, but he just noticed that Levi hadn't taken off his sweat shirt at all.
Levi broke the awkward silence first. "Thank you, for stopping Erwin." Eren blushed. "No problem." Levi mentally groaned as they approached his street. He waved at Eren, walking off and walking into the little grey house at the end of the street.
Eren hesitated, and followed Levi, peeking in through a window. He bit his lip, watching as Levi snuck up the stairs without turning the lights on. Eren sighed in relief before walking to his own house. His parents were slightly upset that he was late, but they understood why, and we're happy that he'd stayed to help clean up.
Mikasa was already asleep in her room when Eren walked past and went to his own, flopping down on the bed and falling asleep.
At his house, Levi was up in his room, fiddling with a razor before dragging it across his skin, wincing as it went through bruises. He was so stupid. Why had he gone into the kitchen alone? He should've known better the that.
He kept cutting, tears flowing down his face as he silently cursed himself.
