dull irises gaze at the reflection before him,
a serene expression was etched onto his countenance
unbeknownst to many a storm raging from within
his despair, a seemingly vortex sucking what was little of hope left
he attempts to wear a smile so bright, almost deceiving
as it were a mask concealing fragments of a wistful being
with a bruised heart, desperately waiting for a savior
that would release him from the grips of misery.
