Too Much Too Soon: Chapter 3
~Kira P.O.V.~
I was quietly reading my book as I sat in my bed by the candle light. Reading was one of my favorite things to pass time and I even liked to write a little bit.
I heard the usual soft taps on the window and I knew it was Simone waiting to be let in. I giggled to myself and neatly closed my book and set it on my night stand right next to the candle.
I tiptoed quietly across the wooden floor till I got to my window.
"Let ya girl in, damn it's cold out" She said as she squeezed herself in through the small window
"I'm sorry, but shh. My parents are in their room" I closed the window and walked back over to my bed. Simone walked right over and got under the covers with me. Simone was my best friend, she was such a sweet heart but a wild child. She loves to party and doesn't mind getting drunk off her ass, Just as long as she has a good time. She has an older brother who I used to have the biggest crush on back when we were in like 8th grade. But Simone was a little taller than me, Brazilian, long jet black hair that hung down to her butt and gorgeous green eyes.
"Oops, so tell me about your new friend" She said with a small laugh
"Well his name is Joey and he's pretty cool" I said bluntly. I didn't want Simone to get even the slightest thought that I liked Joey.
"That's all huh? That sounds like a bunch of bullshit." She said in a 'duh' tone
"Well he's cute too bu-"
"Cute huh? Describe him!" She looked directly into my eyes without even moving a muscle just waiting for me to fill her imagination with his description.
"He's tall, caramel skin, gorgeous eyes, he has his swag on point too" I jokingly said with a laugh
"His swag's on point? That's a keeper" She rolled her eyes "You said you kissed him too. When were you going to tell me about that detail?" She cocked an eyebrow
"Yes we did and he was juicy"
"I need to meet him. He needs to get my approval before he even tries to get with my wifey" She said with sass
"He lives just up the block. I want to kick it with him again, maybe you can come and we can all just chill? Well when I'm off my grounding of course." I rolled my eyes with annoyance
"Aight lets do it. But all that walkin then all that climbin got me tired as fuck. I'm goin to bed" She laughed before turning her back to me and quickly drifting off to sleep. I simply shook my head, blew out the candle and turned my back to her before drifting off to sleep myself.
~In The Morning~
"bitch. wake the fuck up." I heard Simone say right into my ear. I fluttered my eyes open, letting them adjust to the sunlight that filled my room
"What?" I said with a yawn
"You wouldn't shut up! I swear to God, you kept sayin Joey's name the entire night" She said with a roaring laugh
"I was not!" I just knew my cheeks were probably as red as a fire truck. Was I really saying his name? oops.
"Yes you was! I had to keep nudging you!" I simply rolled my eyes and reached for my phone "Checking to see if Joey sent you a message?" She smirked
"No. I want to see what time it is" It was 8:48. My parents were already gone by this time. "Let's make breakfast" She nodded her head and walked out of my room. I followed behind her and saw my sister was already awake and watching TV in the living room
"Sup child?" Simone said as she ruffled my sisters hair
"You had a friend over? I'm telling Mom" She flashed me a devilish look
"Do it, I know she won't care. It's just Simone, Mom loves Simone and she basically lives here" She shook her head and focused her attention right back to the TV
"let's make pancakes. I'm a fuckin beast in the kitchen" Simone laughed as she went digging through the fridge. I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket
"Joey's calling! Shh!" I said as I swiped my thumb across my screen
*Phone Convo*
Me: Hello?
Joey: Morning you, what chu doin?
Me: Just making breakfast with my friend, you?
Joey: Damn, two girls in the kitchen cooking? That's how it should be-
Me: Not even!
Joey: Uh Yes, Nah but on a serious note, I'm just hangin out. When you comin over?
"He asked when I was going to go over to his house!" I mouthed to Simone
"Give me the phone!" She mouthed back. Before I could say anything she swiped the phone right out of my hand and put the phone on speaker phone.
Simone: Um who the fuck is this?
Joey: Who is this is the real question. Put Kira back on
Simone: Nah, give me a name first
Joey: Joey, Now who's this
Simone: Oh this is Joey? Man she be talkin about you all night long. talkin about how she wants to hook up with you and feel you, skin to skin
I was chasing her around the house at this point! I wanted to kill her!
Joey: Oh shit, really now? Well-
Simone: But that's my wifey and if you want to meet her with what she wants, then you finna have to get the okay from me
Joey: A wifey? Damn, well come by my house and I'll show you I'm good enough, if not better for her. If you think I ain't then maybe you and me Ma could hook up
Simone: Keep that offer on the table but we'll see you in a little while
Joey: aight coo, text me when you're on your way
Simone: Okay, bye
Joey: peace
*End Of Phone Convo*
"I'm going to kill you in your sleep!" I yelled as I continued to chase her around the yard
"Oh relax! He's down for hookin up with you. Your welcome for being your wing man, or wing woman"\
"I can't leave the house! I'm grounded!" I finally stopped chasing her and took a minute to catch my breath
"So? Just go. You're 16, your parents can't pull the "you're grounded" thing anymore. Grow some balls and go" I bit my lip hesitantly and thought about it for a secon- "You're going. I told him you were and now you are."
"You know what, you're right. I am going to go and I'm going to have fun for a change"
"Exactly! You had fun last night and yesterday, so have fun today too! Ima go home, get dressed then I'll be back and we can both go, ight?" She asked with such excitement
"I guess that's the plan" I laughed
"Good, hurry and get dressed!" She chucked up the deuces and started to jog back down the sidewalk to her house. I walked back inside and quickly jogged back up my stairs to my room.
~45 Minutes Later~
I just finished my hygiene thing and was dressed in black short shorts, red plaid button down shirt that showed a little bit of my belly and some red chucks. My hair was put up in a bun with a little red bow.
I jogged back downstairs and saw my little sister was no where in sight. Thank God. The less I have to see her the better.
"Leggo!" Simone screamed from the other side of the front door as she began to kick it
"Alright, don't kick the door!" I laughed as I walked out
"I'm hella excited to meet this fool" She laughed
"I know you are, come on, we're going left, then turning right at the second intersection" She nodded her head and we began to walk over to his house. I was actually kind of nervous. I wasn't one to sneak out while I was on punishment especially to go hang out with a guy like Joey.
~Joey P.O.V.~
I heard the doorbell go off so I jumped off the couch and walked over.
"Aye Kira" I said with a smirk that had her shy away "and who the hell is this?" I said with a laugh
"This be her wifey, Simone" She shot back at me with sass. Her friend was pretty cute too, I'm going to be up front and honest.
"Oh this her wifey huh? well come on in" I stepped aside and she marched in like she owned the place. "Come here girl, give yo Joey some sugar" I pulled Kira by her waist and kissed her forehead
"Ew, you're not mine" She laughed as she slid out of my grip and walked over to her friend who was now sitting sprawled out on the couch, I shut the door and walked over to the couch
"So Joey, what makes you think you're good for Kira?" Simone said with a serious look
"Cause I'm me. Kira knows me well enough to tell you I'm good for her" I smirked
"Ima take your word on that one. But you pull anything and I'm comin after you." She mugged me
"Calm yourself, we ain't even talkin about relationships or anything. We're just good friends with a few benefits"
"There are no benefits. It's either all or nothing" Kira said with that cute little laugh she has
"There's always benefits for Joey" I popped my collar
"Boy, you're something else" Simone said as she nudged me
~A Few Hours Later~
"Guys, this is Kira and Simone and girls, this is Ace and Marcel" They shook hands and now it was a true kick back. I had my guys and Kira had her girl with her
"Who got the blunts, cause shit, I wanna smoke" Ace laughed as he walked out to the back porch
"I could go for a blunt too, Peace y'all" Simone said. She got up and followed Ace right out. I already knew Marcel was going to leave to and that's exactly what happened.
"Oh Kiiira, it's just you and me girl" I scooted closer to her on the couch
"Oh my god, stop" She chuckled and hid her face in her hands
"Stop bein so shy, It's just me, I told you I wasn't going to do anything"
"I know, but I'm just naturally shy"
"That's hella cute but just relax, we just talkin"
"Except you keep closing the space between us" She looked up at me with this innocent eyes
"I wanna be closer to my new best friend, is that a crime?" I held my arms up in defense
"No it's not-"
"Good, come here" I pulled her face right to mine and our lips found each other without any hesitations. I knew she wanted me.
The second our lips touched she kissed back an d she kissed back hard. I felt her arms slither up my chest until she dug her nails into the back of my neck making me moan softly against her lips. She straddled my lap as I kept my hands rested on her lower back .
I pushed he back gently so I could take a deep breath.
"and you said no benefits huh?" I smirked at her. She just buried her face deep into my chest "Would you ever consider going out on a date with me?" I deeply whispered into her ear
"possibl-"
"Nah, it's either "Yes Joey, I would" or "Hell Nah, Joey you high as fuck" Which one?" I felt her laughs against my chest
"Alright, Yes Joey, I would. I'm not saying if you asked me right this second I would say yes, but I would consider it"
"That's the only answer I needed to hear"
Little did I know that answer would later have such an impact on both of our lives.
