Having trouble pinning down a character?  try writing the scene over from the perspective of a minor character.  It'll help give you a new take on setting the scene and you might even learn something new about your character.  want to get really creative? Try writing the scene from the point of view of an inanimate object. Let me know how it goes. Ill be posting my results soon. Cheers.
