minji sighs in happiness as she consumes the soup she heated up during her call with seokjin. she missed the taste of, well food. sure she has eaten multiple times around other people but she immediately throws the meal up once she has privacy.
she leaves the bowl of soup, halfway eaten, as she reaches for a glass in her cupboard for some water. that is, until she sees her unclear, but still able to make out, reflection of herself in the stainless steel of her refrigerator.
she sees every roll of fat, every crease, every bump that shouldn't be there, everything these models and idols do not have. she lets a tear fall from her eyes.
she doesn't realise how distorted the makeshift mirror is making her appear.
it wasn't enough, she cries out in her mind.
her gaze drifts over to the bowl of soup on the kitchen island and that previous taste of home and happiness is replaced with disgust.
the night ends with the soup in the sink pipes and minji's insides in the toilet.
