He was watching her discreetly as she unclasped her earring from the grasp they had on her earlobe, and she stretched her long legs to grab the earring case on the shelf above.

"Whatcha doing?" Her metropolis accent obvious as she called out to him, finally done with her bathroom routine, taking the old lexcorp tshirt Lex had laying around off the gray granite counter, and putting it on. It was his own many years ago, when he was a teenager, he hadn't worn it since his father died.

He didn't answer, but instead he stood up, the pants he had on, uncrumpling from his position on the armchair he was in. There were too many thoughts running through his head, he had a lot of things coming all at once, it was overwhelming.

He leaned over his dad's table, it was the study that he hadn't touched in years, or even dared to come to. It just felt right that he did all the revealing of himself here. The bedroom, connected by an open door smelled like her, he loved it, but in here, it smelt like nothing but alcohol nights and strong punches.

"Hey, everything alright?" Her voice appealed to him from the doorway, and his eyes whipped up from the floor to her own gaze, the one he loved so much.

"Come here," He said in a quiet voice that urged her to come forward, he couldn't tell what she was feeling right now, but he knew what he was.

The plush carpet made minimal sound as she made his way to him, which meant nothing was interrupting the sound of Mura Masa he had on replay. He enveloped her in his figure, taking in the warmth of her skin as she dipped her hips onto his.

"What's wrong?" Her whisper asked through his hair, making him shiver a bit, as he put his arms around her waist, the solidness of table he was leaning on, being enough support for the both of their weight, as if she really weighed anything anyway.

"I feel like I have so much to tell you, but I don't know where to start, what to say." He confessed in one blunt sentence.

"Start anywhere, I don't care at all." She said in such a tone that convicted him to start to speak.

"When I was a kid, I didn't really have a childhood." He said, his eyes flitting around as his mind started to reconstruct his memory, the only thing holding him down from pure insanity, was her touch, "My father used to come... used to come and hold his fist to my face, the only thing I could see actually was that fist and the bottle of whiskey he always had after shouting at my mom."

"He used to tell me, we are Lex Luthors, don't ever disgrace this name," He still couldn't meet her gaze as his thoughts were racing, "You will get what you will want, and you will be stronger, better, god-like than anyone in this city. Then right after, I would see him bent over a table, in a drunken stupor cursing me and my mom out, it was pure hell. As a kid, you want to live up to your dad's expectations, but as I reached each of them, they only seemed to get higher. And then my mom died, the beatings only got worse, my face was always covered in bruises."

"I got so tired of it, thank god I didn't go to a normal school, everyone would've fucking shit on me for the purple face I usually had. It was exhilarating, I was learning things at the speed of light, if I didn't my dad would get mad, I had been doing calculus in my freshman year of high school."

He paused, and she somehow breathed in, the sound bringing him back from reality, not the past he was tortured in, "So I killed him, serving one of those glasses of bourbon, whiskey, I don't remember, or at least choose not to, and put some chemical that the autopsy couldn't detect. And I didn't feel anything, or at least I chose not to, as he gave me the whole fortune, and I could do whatever I wanted."

"And so being the smart kid I was, I invested the whole thing in every field you could think of, but money wasn't enough to hide me from my past. So I sought everything to my father's demise. I was so caught up, and probably still am for impressing him, anything for me to avoid a hypothetical fist." He said almost to himself, looking up at the mural ceiling and wondering if telling her all this was worth it. He wanted to kick himself and congratulate himself at the same time, he wanted her to know, but he didn't.

She already knew enough, the way he felt about her, the way he worked or the way he laughed at things no other person would, but this was on another level of knowing. He felt like a turned inside-out of a shell, vulnerable and scared. And then he finally met her eyes.

"That's why I do everything I do. Why I want to kill superman so badly, why I fell in love with you," Her eyes widened at that predicament, as he realized what he just said, "No but I truly did fall in love with you, because you're you, Bella."

It looked like she was feeling some kind of remorse, that there was some conflict inside of her, so he decided to tell her more, whether or not it would worsen things.

"So, are you with me on this? This plan of mass murder and everything? Because the only thing you have to know is my motivation. Well, I've learned from an early age, that whatever God you worship, Jesus, Allah, Buddha, they all belong to tribes, so God is tribal. God takes sides, if he is all powerful, he is not all good, and if he is all good, he cannot be all powerful. And I wish to put that image into the heads of Metropolis! That he is no God." His ramble became frantic, almost desperate as she leveled her gaze with his, refusing to drop it.

Silence passed for about a minute, until his ears were shocked by her reply, "So when do we get to do that?"

"Sorry, what?" He couldn't understand, he was half expecting her to bolt out the door due to insanity, the other half just waiting for her to be a figment of his fucked up imagination, if she did stay.

"When do we kill him? The faster, the better, let's rid the world of that grade a asshole." She said nonchalantly, making the sides of his lips turn up.

-

Bella was almost too giddy to be working in his dad's study, still unsure whether or not him telling her everything was actually real.

"So you may have noticed me checking my phone quite a lot recently. I can total-"

"A lot is an understatement, but don't worry." She joked, sprawling herself across the paper with some kind of sketch that had a prototype of a gun, she was almost scared she would rip it, but Lex looked quite satisfied with her position across the table.

"It was because, I planted something, an ambush more like for Superman to be framed, to show the people his true nature of taking sides, and of course he fell for it. My phone was blowing up from getting the news, both from Hux and everyone else respectively." He said, putting the mobile on the table beside her hand.

"Fell for it?" She asked, paying attention to his words.

"Lois Lane, one of the few weaknesses he has. He loves her to no extent, so he will do everything his power, including destroying a whole African village, whether or not I framed him." He declared taking a good look at the papers he took from the table behind him and put on her flat stomach. They were all news articles blaring what Superman had done.

"Making it rain like cash in a strip club huh?' She told him, the cold paper making her hot skin feel so numb.

He laughed at her, but didn't say anything else, he had a lot more to say.

"Yes, Bella yes." He said absentmindedly, taking her hand and urging to get up from the table, he wanted to show her something, he wanted to show her now.

She got up immediately, following his warm palm, and her feet hit the carpet, she was quite reluctant to leave his dad's study, as it had such a intense vibe that perfectly described Lex Luthor.

Following his strides, hand in hand, a feeling of excitement rose inside her, she was getting to have a part in Lex's life, and a part in destroying the one man who made Lex feel upset. She was so changed, she didn't care about her own morals, as all she suddenly could care about was what he felt.

"So what is this thing you are supposed to show me?" She asked as they took a turn, and he opened a door to the more modern part of the estate, the carpet turning into cold marble floor that her bare feet slapped against.

"It's a surprise." He simply said, coming to a set of doors that used biometrics to be opened.

She stayed quiet, and held his hand whilst savoring the feeling, the air suddenly becoming cold as she noticed a thermostat turned all the way down. Bella looked around her, and exclaimed at the sudden change, the old, grand luxury of the manor had been replaced with modern sleek lines that had no mess.

This was his own lab, it wasn't his father's study anymore. It seemed the stark contrast of the two was very deliberate, of how bright it was in this room, but his father's lit up by warm oil lamps at the side. This was cold, yet she felt so much more about him.

"So as I had mentioned, kryptonite was our only defense against Superman right?" She took a deep breath as she observed everything, it looked more top notch than what the government probably had, "And I had been able to get a literal whale sized chunk in the Indian Ocean."

"A whale?" She raised an eyebrow, which he smiled at, looking down at a laptop.

"Besides the point," He retorted, letting go of her hand to type, "I have to convince June Finch, I'm not sure if you've heard of her, to let me bring it into here."

"So why are we in your lab now then?" She asked blatantly, if the chunk still hadn't been allowed.

"Simply because," He started, a glass container that looked thicker than a dictionary started rising from a contraption in the table, "I want you to see it firsthand,"

She saw the smallest piece and her eyes were immediately dazzled, it was brighter than any gemstone she had ever seen, more green than all of the vegetation on Earth, and it was attached to a necklace.

"And I want you to wear it for me, tomorrow."

Can i also have a necklace from  Lex i mean no pressure but PLEASE
