“You sure you’re okay? I mean really that rush of emotions and stuff…” Jaguar’s voice trailed off as we entered his room.
“I’m sure I’m fine.” I sighed rubbing my head, I had a throbbing headache. “Other than a headache.”
His expression went from worried, laughing, and back to worry in a second. “Lay down.” He commanded and I gave him a look like you’ve got to be kidding.
“Look Jaguar, just because I turned the switch doesn’t mean I don’t remember what I did. I’ve been changed forever; I’m not that innocent little girl anymore who follows everyone’s orders willingly. I’m not scared or weak anymore.” I said patiently but he stubbornly pushed me down until I was lying on the bed.
“I don’t care, Riley.” Jaguar mumbled and climbed onto the bed next to me and flipped me over so I was lying on my stomach. He climbed onto me so he was straddling his hips and his hands began kneading my back. I let out an audible moan, and his hands pressed down harder.
“Jaguar, my back doesn’t hurt.” I rolled over throwing him off me with ease and then blushed, I’d forgotten, super strong vampire.
“Well maybe my back hurts?” He cocked an eyebrow and I laughed. “Now are you glad you flipped the switch.” He whispered coming up beside me and pulling me back so we were lying side by side. He moved his face closer to mine, his dark eyes so pretty. “Well? Aren’t you glad I’m here Riley?” He whispered his voice husky and he shifted so his body was draped over mine.
“Very.” My breathing sped up until my heart was beating twice a minute and for a vampire that’s very fast.
“You’re hearts flying like a hummingbird,” he murmured his lips kissing my throat.
“Thanks,” I gasped to him.
“You’re blush is adorable.” His alluring dark eyes watched me carefully and I blushed deeper at his compliments.
“Jaguar,” my breath caught in my throat and he took the opportunity to lean and kiss under my jaw.
“What a pretty neck,” he whispered moving down to kiss my neck.
“Jaguar, please, I don’t want this.” But I didn’t mean it my arms wrapped around his neck pulling him down to my level so I could kiss him. His hands buried themselves in my hair and I pulled away to kiss at his neck, he kissed me again slower this time. His hands slid under my shirt and up my back and he nipped at my bottom lip. I opened my mouth desperate to have more of him any of him.
He groaned releasing my bra clasp and then tugging my shirt off, my fingers worked swiftly on the buttons on his shirt before I tugged it off and he grinned.
“Jaguar…” I said but knew there was no use fighting.
“You know that you want this,” he mumbles again his lips finding my neck and kissing up and down it. I moaned I couldn’t help myself.
“Jaguar…” this time it was me just giving in I couldn’t help it. He swiftly pulled my head down and angled it up so he could reach my throat before coming up to kiss my lips. He sits up pulling me onto his lap and he begins kissing me more insistently.
"Jaguar!" I scream regardless of the vampire in the other rooms. His shirt comes off next and my mouth finds his chest. When he starts tugging at my pants button I push his hand away, "Don't, no more clothes off."
He doesn’t nod his head but starts rubbing against me and I let him. I feel him hard and warm, and I grip onto anything I can as he moves.
Even through our clothes this feels so good and I pull his mouth to mine again as his hands travel my body. I have no idea how long we do this but I know that Jaguar’s moans become louder in my ear and I grip onto his hair. He leans back already struggling to breath and he groans before falling back onto the bed whispering to me.
“Oh god, Riley. That felt amazing.” Jaguar whispered breathing still rapid.
“Jaguar,” I began but stopped unwillingly to ruin the moment.
“What?” He mumbled sleepily.
“Nothing, I’m just glad you’re still here.” I whispered and it was true his arms tightened around me and I let myself relax and fall asleep next to Jaguar yet I couldn’t stop thinking of Sean.
“Jaguar, Riley gets out here right now!” I jerk awake at the sound of a female voice shouting at us before the door slams open. I rubbed my eyes blearily seeing a black haired girl standing shocked in the middle of Jaguar’s room. I looked down and sighed in relief, I was in a tank wearing shorts.
“Jaguar, wake up.” The girl snapped and I shook his shoulder, his eyes opened sluggishly. I looked at the girl again, and felt my canines growing out again anger surging in me like I’d never turned it on. I looked at her again and with a bolt of realization realized it was Haven.
“Haven?” Jaguar sat up running a hand through his hair. “Oh shit, Haven…” His voice trailed off and confused I tapped his shoulder leaning over to whisper in his ear.
“What’s wrong?” He opened his mouth to speak but Haven butted in tossing his desk across the room and shattering the window in the wall.
“What’s wrong? He’s engaged to marry me! Jaguar, you just cheated on me, you slept with my best friend!” Haven shrieked at him angrily storming up and slapping him across the face. Shock vibrated through my body slamming into my mind. .Jaguar engaged? To Haven??Slept with my best friend? They didn’t tell me. He just wanted you to flip the switch again…. Pain shot through me and I leaped away from him, anger lighting up my face.
“You fucking bastard!” I spat at him angrily reaching forward to slap him across the face hard enough to smack a human’s head off. “Screw you; I can’t believe you did that to me.”
“Riley…” He jumped up and I backed away from him hissing in anger.
“Sure you talk to her first, not you’re fucking FIANCEE!” Haven screamed at him whipping her hand forward in a crippling punch.
“Haven…” He turned toward her and I slammed him in the back with a kick.
“You fucking used me, because Haven wouldn’t sleep with you? Is that what I am to you just a girl that you use when you can’t get anyone else? You just wanted me to flip the switch; you’re a fucking son of a bitch!” I screamed at him, my eyes turning to slits, and Haven stood right beside me her expression the same.
“Guys, please, let me explain!” Jaguar cried helplessly his hands waving around in the air.
“Explain what!” We shrieked together, “that you slept with both of us!”
“Fuck you, the weddings off Jaguar! I never want to see you again,” Haven’s voice broke and her green eyes swam with tears. “I thought you loved me!”
“You loved her? I fucking hate you Jaguar, never speak to me again.” I paused my chest heaving and tears building in me. “You are a bitch and they call us sluts!” I sobbed grabbing Haven’s hand and pulling her away with me, we ran. Out of his room and down the hall until we reached my room, I kicked the door open and collapsed onto my bed with gut wrenching sobs, Haven crying soundlessly beside me. Jaguar calling after us all the time.
“I thought he loved me,” Haven wailed gulping in air before sobbing.
“He’s such a fucking cheater; I can’t believe I feel for him. I swear I will never fall again. I can’t believe he did this to us.” I sobbed shuddering as I tried to gulp in breaths.
Haven looked up at me her arms wrapped around herself tears streaming from her eyes. Hey, I’m going to admit we both looked like hell even for gorgeous, immortal vampires who are supposed to not feel anything. But having your fiancée sleep with your best friend hurts like hell.
She bites her finger and I bit my own and we pressed them together out blood mixing together. “I make a blood-promise we will never fall again, without our sister’s consent. Never!” Thunder boomed and lightning crackled above us, and I we let our hands fall away more tears slipping down or faces. This was serious now, if we broke this vow, if we went behind the others back something horribly would happen.
“He doesn’t care,” Haven wailed to me again and footsteps sounded outside the hall.
“I hate him, I hate Jaguar!” I wept softly my body shaking, I clutched my blankets and pressed my face into my pillow before I yanked away. It smelled like Jaguar, I threw a fist into the headboard.
Haven didn’t say a word her body shuddering and her tears silent, she silently let out her grief and anger. “We’re all alone now, Riley.” She murmured tears running down her face and trickling over her lips.
“Haven, you know that there is no Riley or Haven without Jaguar, what are we supposed to do?” I asked her wrapping my arms around myself. “What are we going to do?”
“Everything’s falling apart, life isn’t worth living.” Haven whispered to me raising her green eyes to my face. “We have to flip that switch find some way to make it through this even if it means doing what we have to do to survive.”
I stared at Haven in shock, “you mean?” She nodded and dropped her head to her knees.
“I know where Andrew and Aubrey keep the stakes now, they moved them every few years.” I looked up at her my heart beating faster at the idea we wouldn’t have to deal with this pain anymore.
“We have to do it.” Haven’s voice became stronger. “On the night when the moon is full at the stroke of midnight all pain in our hearts will cease along with Jaguar’s very existence.” I leaped up drawing back my curtains to let the light flood into my room, a half-moon shone down on us and I grinned in excitement. I was ready. This if for you Sean, I whispered in my mind.
