ryan drove magnolia home. magnolia knew this wasn't just a "hey let's get together and play catch-up", it was a date. she shifted in the passengers seat. ryan looked at her.
"you okay?" ryan asked. "too warm, too cold?"
"no, i'm good." she said, flashing her pearly whites at him. they pulled up to her flat complex. ryan parked the car and looked at magnolia.
"can i call you?" he blurted.
magnolia had to admit, she really did like ryan and she really felt a connection with him.
"uh, yeah. i'd like that. a lot." she smiled at ryan, thanked him for the pizza and went up to her flat. where her worried best friend paced the floor. behind him, chris and elsa sat on their white couch.
magnolia stepped inside.
"what's going on?" magnolia looked into the eyes of her best friend. "what's wrong?!"
"why haven't you answered your phone?! you've been MIA for two hours!"
"oh. sorry. i was on a date." she blushed.
elsa looked up. "with who?" elsa smirked.
"ryan reynolds." magnolia's blush got even deeper. she was really starting to like this guy.
