Scott POV:
Their she was. Walking up to the stage where all the head teachers and principals were. Her black graduation uniform fitting her beautiful figure perfectly. She collected her graduation certificate, shaking all their hands. Her platinum blond hair falling down her shoulders in their waving form. Her clear skin, which was not hidden by the robe, gave off a glowing effect from her body. Her dark, intense blue eyes full of happiness and the light that outshone any other. She jumped down the steps on the other side of the stage after shaking their hands as another person was called up. She left through the doors at the end of the hall, in which everyone was going through.
"Scott Tracy", Principal Highwood said into the microphone. Her voice bringing my attention back towards the task at hand. I nervously began to walk up the steps towards them, attempting to not look at the audience to see all of the family their. I collected the certificate before walking off the stage and out the doors. I entered a party hall with food and drinks the were being devoured by other students as we all waited for the event to finish and for the parents and families to join them in the celebration. I walked over towards the food and grabbed a glass of red cordial, waiting in anticipation for the families to walk in.
"Hey Scotty," Carmia said as she walked over to grab a drink with him, "so how are you feeling now that we don't have to go to school anymore?" she asked as she look into my eyes. I had to look down at her because her being would reach just below my chin.
"I feel...I don't know, I guess free in a way." I said trying to avoid her gaze. The door opened and the families and teachers entered the room. I saw my father and mother. My father, Jeff Tracey was walking with Virgil and John. Virgil was 15 and had black spiky hair and his body was beginning to build up. John, the 14 year old, on the other hand was still quite slim in his figure and had smooth, blond hair. Next to the brothers our mum, Sarah Tracy. Sarah had blond hair that stop just above her shoulders. She was wearing a black and white dress with small black heels. Holding her hand was the youngest of the brothers, 9 year old Alan . Alan had blond hair, like his mother, Virgil and Gordon, but his hair was messy and full of curls. Next to Alan was Gordon who was 10 today actually. He had dusty, blond, spiky hair and light brown eyes. All of them, my brother that is, where wearing nice suits but nothing to over to top for their ages. Compared to my brother you would think I had a bit of them all. I had a dark shade of blond, almost honey brown, hair. My eyes where the same as my mother's, dark brown. My figure was ok, I guess, nothing over the top tho.
"Well done my boy," Jeff said as he placed a hand on my shoulder, "you don't know how proud you've made me, today"
"Thank You father" I said as I was ambushed into a squished hug from his brothers.
"And well done to you as well, Carmia" Sarah said as she glanced over towards her.
"Thank you ma'am" Sarah look at her with a puzzled expression.
"Now dear, how many times do I have to tell you, you can call me Sarah, none of this Ma'am business." she chuckled at the end with a grin on her face.
"Ok, ma--Sarah" she quickly corrected herself.
"Well isn't this lovely?"
We all turned to see Caramia's auntie, also know to us as Lady Penelope, walk towards us in her pink outfit. "Auntie Penelope!!" Carmia shouted as she hugged the blond, "I can't believe you're here! I thought you work wouldn't give you a break!"
"I think you mean our work, darling Carmia," she responded with a small smile.
I saw Camila's eyes light up as she let go of Penelope. She showed a smile that could have reached from ear to ear, and still look perfect.
"Are you serious?" she asked, her voice slightly higher than usual.
"Mhhm" Penelope said with a smile as she watch her, "you're my new partner and we start your training next week, is that ok?"
"Is that ok? Is that ok?!" she began jumping up and down on the spot, "this is a dream come true, thank you auntie P"
Throughout the night we were approached by our other friends and students. A few of the teachers would come up and congratulate us on graduating, before talking with our parents and family members. After a few hours or meeting and greeting, I was walking around and noticed that Carmia wasn't inside the building anymore. I saw her standing outside with her aunt. The wind blowing her platinum hair around her face. I saw her aunt give her a hug and say something before walking back into the room.
"I will see you around, Scott" she said as she passed me, placing a hand on my shoulder before leaving the building. I nodded towards her before walking out towards Carmia who was now sitting on the steps.
"Hey, stranger" I said, sitting down next to her.
"Hey" she merely said back, her eyes only looking at the darkness of the night in front of her.
"So what did she talk to you about?" I knew that if I asked her a question like that she would most likely not tell me, but it was worth a shot, right?
"It's about my parents." her voice was beginning to break and I saw a tear roll down her cheek, "they were murdered Scott, they're gone" she broke down and I wrapped her in my arms.
"It's ok, you're gonna be ok" I whispered.
"How do you know?" she stuttered as she cried into his chest.
"Because I know how strong you are and that you will remember them and all that you did together. You'll think of the happy times and you will smile too." she looked up at me, her face red and eyes watery.
"You really think that?"
"Yeah" I found myself saying as both our faces got closer together. We both began to close our eyes. I could smell the peppermint in her breath as it hit my skin. I felt her arms begin to crawl up my chest and circle around my neck.
Then her phone buzzed.
We both quickly let go of eachother as she reached into her pocket and pulled out a silver iPhone.
"Sorry that's my aunt. She says that she in her car outside and waiting for me" she said as she quickly got up off the steps, "I guess that this is good bye then?"
"Yeah I guess" I got up and look at her. I couldn't help but feel sad about it all. We looked at eachother for a while, not wanting to say another word.
"Well" she said breaking eye contact with me, "I guess I'll see you around" she began to walk away from me. I watch until her figure went around one of the building corners and disappear into the night. I turned around and saw John walking towards me with his hands in his pockets.
"You know if you were waiting for the opportune moment. That was it" he said as I let out a long sigh.
"I know John but I'm not gonna start something I can't keep" I said as we walked back to the building.
"How do you know that?" he asked as we went through the doors.
"I just do" I answered as we walked up to our family and left the party.
Goodbye school, hello life.
