===At The Hospital===
it's been almost two days since Dani woke up she's been getting better and she's been recovering slowly Santana was watching from the glass window of Dani's hospital room ..Dani was smiling and laughing with Kurt and Blaine at something Nate and Miley were telling her it made Santana smile to see her girlfriend smile and laugh and her friends happy again they've all come so far so quickly just a week ago everyone was broken but once Dani woke up everyone's been happy again ..no one knew it but Dani was the glue to their happiness..they were all pieces of the same puzzle if one of them was missing they'd all break ..they were a family Quinn saw Santana day dreaming and smiling as she stared at her girlfriend she went to Santana and laid a hand on her shoulder Santana snapped out of her gaze at Dani and turned to smile at Quinn who smiled back
"she's gonna be home and all to yourself soon" Quinn said smiling at Santana
"i know.." Santana said glancing at Dani then looking back at Quinn as Rachel approached them as well "i owe you guys an apology for the way i acted when you found the ring.." Rachel shook her head smiling as she stood beside Quinn
"it's ok we know you didn't mean to burst like that.." Rachel said with a soft smile as Quinn smiled in agreement to Santana smiled
"i'm thinking of proposing to her on christmas" she said proudly Quinn and Rachel looked at each other with smirks on their faces then turned to face Santana the smirks still plastered on their faces
"your not planning on proposing to her normally right ?" Quinn said smirking Santana rolled her eyes
"no of corse not" she looked back at Dani smiling "this has to be perfect Dani deserves perfect" she looked back at Quinn and Rachel "i am gonna need your help though .. i'm gonna need all your help"
"when are you gonna tell everyone ?" Rachel asked smiling
"Tonight when Dani's asleep and before everyone leaves" Santana said her smile getting bigger by the second
"perfect" Rachel said smiling as all three of them walked to the cafeteria to get themselves something to eat ..
-----(Meanwhile)---
===At Dani's Hospital Room===
Dani was trying to catch her breath from laughing to much she was happy all her friends were here and let's not forget her perfect girlfriend Santana life was going great for Dani and everyone except for the fact that she has to stay in the hospital for one more week but it was ok it didn't feel like she was in the hospital it felt like home cause everyone was always here making her laugh and smile and most importantly feel loved ...once Dani caught her breath she smiled softly at everyone that stood in front of her
"it's so good to have you back D" Nate said smiling
"it's good to be back.." Dani said sighing happily
"we missed you so much" Kurt said as he held tight on Blaine's hand and smiled to Dani
"aww i was just out for four days" Dani smiled
"yeah four days that felt like four years.." Miley said sadly but still managed to keep a soft smile on her face
"Don't scare us like that again its just to much pain" Blaine said smiling weakly as everyone did to
"i promise you guys this will never happen again" she said smiling as everyone's smiles started to grow she continued talking "can i like talk to each and everyone of you privately i have things i want to say for each and everyone of you but i feel like it's best if it's just one at a time" she said smiling "i'll start with Blaine"
"Me ?" Blaine asked shocked as to why he was first Dani nodded as Nate Miley and Kurt went out each one of them saying patting on Blaine's back except for Kurt who just kissed his cheek Blaine sat in the seat next to Dani's bedside as he smiled softly at her
"i wanted to talk to you frist cause i know you probably feel like we're not so close ...i mean all i know about you is your Blaine and your Kurt's boyfriend" she chuckled along with blaine "but i want to get to know you better Kurt Rachel and Santana are my family and any friend of their's is my friend and family to" she said smiling as he smiled to
"your a good person Dani and you make Santana want to be a better person which is a first time" he said standing up smiling at her as he walked to the door
"hey could you call Quinn while your out there i want to talk to her next" she said smiling at Blaine before he got out
"sure" he said before leaving a few minutes later Quinn walked in smiling
"hey D" she said as she took a seat beside Dani's bedside
"hey Q" she teased her they both chuckled
"what did you wanna talk to me about ?"
"i wanted to make sure you knew something" Dani said smiling
"knew what ?"
"That i'm here not because of you or Santana or even Brittany" Quinn looked down feeling a little guilty she felt like it was her fault she could've stopped Brittany if she tried harder thats all she ever thought about "Quinn look at me" Dani said as she held Quinn's hand Quinn held her hand tighter as she looked up tears threatening to fall "it's not your fault" she said in the most assuring and soft way possible Quinn broke into a smile as the tears that were threatening to fall fell "your a good hearted person Quinn and you make Rachel really happy when are you gonna ask her out ? that girl is all over you" Dani chuckled as Quinn did to
"thanks Dani" Quinn said smiling
"for what ?" Dani asked with confusion written all over her face
"for making me see it's no one's fault" Dani smiled as Quinn stood up letting go of her hand gently as she patted it " and for making Santana a little more softer" she joked as Dani chuckled
"would you do me a favor and call in Rach" Dani said smiling
"will do" Quinn said as she walked to the door Rachel coming in a few minutes later
"so Dani Torres wants to talk to me i hear ?" Rachel joked as she made her way to Dani and bent down to hug her then sat on the seat that was occupied by Quinn just a few minutes ago
"yes i do wanna talk to you" she smiled "well actually i wanna thank you"
"thank me ? for what ?"
"cause i know that if it wasn't for you and Kurt pushing Santana into taking me out i wouldn't have found her" Rachel chuckled remembering the moment Santana was nervous to ask Dani out on the phone Dani chuckled to knowing she was thinking of the phone call "San told me all about the phone call when she asked me out for the first time"
"San told you about that" Rachel said in between giggles Dani nodded
"thank you Rachel" Dani said smiling
"your welcome Dani your absolutely most welcome" Rachel said smiling getting ready to head out
"call in that goof ball we all call Kurt for me" Dani said smiling as Rachel laughed at the nick name she gave Kurt
"one goofy ball coming right up" Rachel said as she left to call Kurt
---(Meanwhile)---
Brittany walked in the hospital ..she felt guilty and responsable for what happened to Dani she wanted to apologise to Dani and Santana both she wanted to make things right she realised she was being a bitch once she caught sight of Santana and everyone else she ran to them Santana stood up as everyone else did Santana walked towards her
"Don't you understand what i don't ever want to see you again means?" Santana said getting furious but both Quinn and Nate held her back before she could slap Brittany ..Brittany knew this was gonna happen but she would take any slap or action of violence Santana had to offer cause she knew she deserved it Quinn looked at Brittany
"what are you doing here ..? haven't you done enough damage ?" Quinn asked really pissed of Brittany sighed
"i'm here to apologise to You" Brittany pointed to Santana who just crossed her arms over her chest looking away "and to Dani" Brittany said catching everyone's attention none of them expected that she sighed "i know ..not expecting that...well neither did i.." she said looking back and forth at everyone before she looked at Santana "before you left you told me you don't love me anymore ...that's when i saw you really did move on..you really loved Dani and it's not you trying to get over me or anything ..it's you really loving Dani.." she looked down "i swear from today on you won't have to ever see me again.." she looked back up at Santana with tears in her eyes you could see the guilt and shame in her eyes from miles away "i'm sorry.." she said looking into Santana's eyes ..Santana saw how shameful and guilty she felt she sighed and uncrossed her arms and hugged Brittany
"i do love you Britt but as a friend.." she said into Brittany's ear
"but i don't deserve it.." she said letting go of Santana "i really want to apologise to Dani will you let me..?" Santana thought about it for a moment she didn't know what to do
"okay..but if she doesn't want to talk to you..i'm afraid your gonna have to go.." Santana said looking down as Brittany nodded...
---(Meanwhile)---
Kurt sat next to Dani as he held her hand smiling at her "so i'm a goof ball now ?" Dani chuckled
"Kurt you've always been a goof ball but it's cute" she said smiling at him as she fluffed his hair with her other hand Kurt giggled as Dani did to
"so what did you wanna talk to me about?"
"well just like Rachel i wanted to thank you" she said smiling
"for..?" Kurt asked as confusion dawned over him
"for making me see that love is worth the risk without you helping me accept that i would've never accepted Santana's offer to be her girlfriend ..you were right love is all about the risks you take" she smiled at him
"i'm always right" Kurt said playfully rolling his eyes which caused Dani to laugh
"okay if your gonna be a diva go get Miley's ass here" Dani said giggling as Kurt giggled to
"your wish is my comande" he said as he walked out but before he could call Miley Brittany was already waiting at the door Kurt looked back at Dani "Dani someone else once to see you first.." he said as Dani looked up to see Brittany..she saw the way Kurt glared at her as he blocked her way to get in she sighed
"Kurt let her in.." Kurt ignored it at first "please.." she said this time so softly and gentle he had to listen to her he sighed and moved away from the door
"okay.." he said in defeat as he let her in..and closed the door behind him..
Brittany walked towards Dani as she stood two inches away from Dani's bed she looked at Dani with the look of guilt and shame "i wanted to apologise..." Brittany said looking down "for everything i did.." Dani sighed she saw how guilty she was she knew Brittany was just acting out cause of jealousy...Dani knew what jealousy could do to a person..she let her hand take a hold of Brittany's hand Brittany already tearing up she knew she didn't deserve to be treated this kindly by Dani or Santana ..
"it's okay i know you didn't mean it..." Dani said with a soft smile..
"how can you and Santana be so kind to me...after what i did..i don't deserve this...i deserve to be here" she pointed at Dani's place .."i deserve to be in that bed..not you" she said looking down again..
"Brittany i may not know you that well.. but no one deserves to be where i am..i know you didn't mean to do what you did..i can see it in your eyes.."
"i..promise i'll keep away from both you..." Brittany said as tears started to fall from her eyes..
"don't do that...i wouldn't want Santana to lose one of the most important friendships she has because of me.." Dani said with a smile Brittany looked Dani with a soft smile..
"your such a wonderful person...now i know why Santana's so in love with you" Brittany said smiling at her
"thank you..tell you what Brittany..lets leave all of this behind and just be friends" Dani said smiling as Brittany nodded and tightening the grip on Dani's hand Santana saw everything from the glass window just when she think's she couldn't love Dani more she dose..she smiled as a tear of happiness fell from her eye she whipped it as Miley made her way over to her she wrapped an arm around Santana as Santana laid her head on Miley's shoulder smiling
"and just like that she has me falling for her all over again..." Santana said as Miley chuckled
"how can you not love someone like that .." Miley said smiling Brittany hugged Dani as she was now walking out "well i guess it's my turn .." she said letting go of Santana as she smiled at her and left to get into Dani's room once Brittany was out Santana walked towards Brittany before she left
"Can you stay for a while there's something i wanna tell everyone tonight ?" she asked Brittany with a smile
"yeah i will.." Brittany said as she walked to where everyone was but before they reached to everyone she looked at Santana "were always gonna be friends right..?" Brittany asked hopeful
"your my best friend Britt we're always gonna be friends" She assured her as she hugged her everyone heard what they said..
"it's good to have the old Britt back.." Blaine smiled as everyone else did to
"it's good to be back.." she said as she took a seat around the group of friends who hugged her and treated her with kindness all of them already forgetting about the past...
----(Meanwhile)---
Miley was sitting on Dani's bed as she and her started to talk ..."i really don't know how i'd be if you weren't awake yet.." Miley confessed Dani smiled at her best friend
"you know i'd go through fire if it means i'll get to be here with you...you my sister from another mother Miley" Dani said smiling as she held Miley's hand Miley smiled weakly at Dani before talking..
"Dani you know everything about me...you know my faults and flaws and yet you still manage to love me like your sister...but their's this one thing i didn't tell you.." she said looking down Dani instantly knew what she was gonna say..
"it's okay...i know.." she said tightening the grip on Miley's hand Miley looked up with wide eyes..
"y-you know...?"
"if you have an addiction Miley...you can recover..and the first step is admitting you have a problem..." she smiled at Miley "your..already recovering just by telling me.." Miley was confused how could she possibly have known..
"h-how did you know..?"
"it's a long story i'm sure i'll tell you one day.." she said smiling "Miley you do know that Nate's gonna do everything he can to help you and i'm gonna help you two you've got two shoulders to cry on whenever you need.." she said smiling Miley hugged Dani so tight it pained Dani but she ignored it cause she felt a few of Miley's tears fall on her she rubbed Miley's back up and down whispering to her ear.. "it's okay..it's gonna be okay" Miley calmed down and let go of Dani slowly before standing up
"your the best friend i could possibly ever have..i love you so much D were gonna be sister's for life" she said smiling as Dani did to
"Can you call in Nate i need to tell him a few words on how he should treat you" Dani joked which caused Miley to chuckle "sure thing" Miley said as she left and Nate walked in a few minutes later with a goofy smile plastered on his face Dani playfully rolled her eyes
"whip that goofy smile of your face Nate" she said jokingly smiling as she playfully shook her head Nate sat beside Dani
"you know i'm just happy you didn't leave us" he said his goofy smile turning into a soft smile
"i'd never leave you you know that" Dani said smiling as Nate smiled to
"don't ever do anything like that again when i got the call that you where in the hospital my heart almost stopped pounding" Nate said as a chuckle came out of Dani's mouth and a sad smile found their way on his lips
"i'd never dream on doing anything like this again ...but now that this has already happened to me it's taught me a lesson.." she said looking at Nate seriously
"and what's the lesson" Nate asked with a soft smile
"well for one never drive while your crying" she said chuckling as Nate did to "but it also taught me to never doubt or feel bad about anyone life's short and we've got a lot to learn in so little time .." she looked out the glass window and stared at Santana "and if you love someone you should love them with all your heart while you still got them" Nate looked at Miley as well and smiled then looked back at Dani with a smirk on his face
"when did you get so wise..?" Nate said smirking as Dani nudged him playfully and rolled her eyes
"just go get Santana for me Nate" Dani said smiling as Nate chuckled "okay okay i'll get her" he said as he got up and called in Santana ..
Santana walked in and smiled once she locked eyes with Dani "is it finally my turn it feels like i've waited for forever to talk to you today" Santana said taking a seat beside Dani on the bed Dani just smiled in return
"i ..don't know what to say to you..?" Dani said smiling as she locked eyes with Santana "there's just so many things i wanna say but my mind can't find the right words" Santana blushed and made her way closer to Dani as she sat on the right side of Dani's bed wrapping her arms around Dani
"take your time to think babe we've got time in our hands" Santana said smiling at her as Dani smiled to
"you saved me San..that's all i can say right now...i honestly wouldn't have woken up or fought if it wasn't for you.. when i was unconscious the one thing that made me wake up was thinking of you knowing that you could possibly be hurting and blaming yourself for my stupid mistake...i couldn't let that happen and-" she was cut off by Santana
"you don't have to say anything Dani all i wanna hear from you right now is three little words that make my heart melt when you say them just tell me you love me and all things bad that's happened will be a blur" she said smiling
"i love you San" Dani said as she laid her head on Santana's chest Santana wrapping her arm around Dani tight
"i love you to Dani" Dani yawned which made Santana smile more "your tired baby you should sleep"
"i wanna be awake and talk to you" Dani said resisting the urge to sleep but her eyes fluttered close once Santana rubbed her arm and kissed her forehead
"sleep baby" Santana whispered and smiled ten minutes later and Dani was sound asleep Santana carefully put her down on the bed before walking out quietly to her friends she closed the door gently making sure not to make any sound..she turned around everyone stood up and were ready to leave she walked towards them
"guys wait i have something to tell you guys it's really important" Santana said looking at everyone they all looked at each other than at Santana and eventually they all sat back down Santana took a deep breath then looked at Rachel and Quinn who just nodded she smiled then looked up at everyone "i'm gonna propose to Dani" she said with a big smile it took a few minutes for everyone to grasp the idea Kurt jumped from his place and hugged Santana tight squeezing her tight till she can't breath
"you are soo gonna let me design the dresses!!!" Kurt said squealing still squeezing Santana tight
"Kurt...your ...squeezing..the..life..out..of..me" she could barley let out Kurt let her go as everyone chuckled they all congratulated her except for Brittany she looked at her and smiled Brittany smiled back
"i think you two would make beautiful brides" she said smiling even though she was feeling jealous she pushed the feeling aside cause she knew it was best Santana smiled at her then looked back at everyone
"i'm gonna need all your help this proposal has to be perfect.." she said with everyone else were squealing ans smiling ...
