I see Peeta signal to Cato's hand. Perfect. If I shoot Hus hand he will release Peeta then Peeta can push him down. I aim my arrow for his hand.

Exhale
Shoot
The arrow peirces his skin and he stumbles back Peeta grabs the arrow drives it through his chest and pushes him off the edge. I run over to him.
"Are you OK?" I ask. He just nods. I can read him like a book he feels guilty "Hey we survived don't be sad" he looks at me and pulls me into an embrace. He runs his hand through my hair and I snuggle my head next to his neck.
BOOM!
22 tributes dead. 2 victors. we watch the hover craft pick up Cato's body in two parts then jump down from the cornucopia. We wait for the music symbolizing the games are over but nothing comes. I look at Peeta confused he looks at me impatiently.
"With closer examination to the rule book only one victor is allowed to be crowned good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor" I look at Peeta shocked he drops his weapons to the floor
"Go ahead" he starts "Shoot" I shake my head frantically
"No"
"Katniss they need a Victor"
"No they don't" I grab night lock out of my pouch that I grabbed when foxface died "Why should they"
"Katniss no!"
"Trust me Trust me" I almost whisper
"Together?" he asks
"Together" I reply

I put the handful of berries in my mouth.
"STOP!" his voice booms "STOP!" he screams. I spit the berries out of my mouth along with Peeta.
"Lady and gentlemen the victors of the 74th annual hunger games Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark!" He booms we see the ladder coming to pick us up I hug Peeta
"We did it" I smile
