They say that when your in shock, you don't feel a thing. Well I guess that sayings true. I don't feel anything.
I breath in and out, and look around the area. I notice the beautiful ocean behind the stage, and two little girls maybe around five, running around; not knowing what's going on right now. I get zapped back into reality when I here my mother sceaming, so I guess I need to start walking up on stage, just so I can die in a week.
My feet walk slowly up the long and narrow path. I don't want to die. Not from thier stupid little Hunger Games. I reach the stage and walk up the stairs.
" Well it looks like we have Miss Annie Cresta's daughter joining us for the 91st annual Hunger Games. I guess it's the boys turn now." She says.
She walks back over to the bowls and draws a boy's name.
"Andrew Waters."Oh No.
~Flashback~
I was Thirteen. Just got a summer job as being a moniter by the ocean. Andrew Waters was swimmng. Far out. I got my binoculiars out, and that's when I saw the fin.
"SHARK SHARK!" I screamed but it was no use, because no one was around.
What I did next I did without thinking. I jumped into the water. Once I got there Andrew grabbed my hand, I grabbed his. The shark had Andrew's other arm in it's mouth. I poked the shark in the eyeballs and it let go for a moment. In this moment I pulled on Andrew harder and got him away from the shark.
At the end of everything Andrew lost his left arm.
~End of Flashback~
Andrew is crying very hard at this point. Nobody volunteers.
"Now you too shake hands."
We shake hands and walk back into the justice building. I've never been inside here before, and it's so huge.
A peacekeeper grabs me and throws me into a room by myself.
In the room there is a red couch, a window and a door. Very plan for District 4.
After around ten minutes they take me out of the room. No one comes to say goodbye to me.
Our mentor Mable Hurst (Winner of the 67th hunger games) walks us to the train station since it's only a short distance away from the Justice Buliding.
~~~On the Train~~~
We all sit in silence, until I finally speak up.
"Mable?"
"Yes hunny."
"Do you have any advice for us?"
"Well, become allies with people. If you do you'll have a better chance of survival."
"Who should we become allies with?"
"I recommend either District 5, 7, or 12."
" How many allies? And how do we meet them?"
" Try at least both partners from a district so around 2 allies. And I can talk to the mentors. Now it's getting late so let's head down to bed."
I get up and begin to walk down the hallway. District 4's rooms are at the end of the hallway. Just right beside District 5 and 3; girls are on one side and boys are on the other.
" Clara? Is that you?" Some women asks.
"Yes. Who are you?"
She walks closer. I can see long dark brown hair in a side braid, she has grey blue eyes.
"I'm Katniss Everdeen."
