I stood in the doorway to another bed room. I could all ready tell that it wasn't mine though. If the putrid smell of sweaty men and dirty socks didn't get to you then the sight of it would. The dark green room was hidden behind piles and piles of dirty laundry.
I had to plug my nose and blink a few time to get adjusted. Yep, Lisa, are these the guys that you've told me about, yeah, or more like never freaken mentioned.
I turned slowly and took a deep breath of the clean air, just waiting to find my room so I could sleep, but apparently the world had other plans because Spencer, the rude blond boy, was standing right in front of me.
I'm not normally good with names, but somehow I remembered the two boys names. It took me 11 years to learn most of the people's names at my old, small school. I have no idea how I am going to do in a big school with only one year of learning names and people.
I kind of dazed off into the distance, thankfully not at Spencer, but still, I was embarrassed. I blushed and looked down, but he must have thought I blushed for other reasons because when I looked up he had the biggest smirk on his face.
Normally I don't get riled-up by guys and I still don't, so when he smirked I could only get angry. I barely even new the kid and I already didn't like him.
"Well, my guess is that Lisa and George didn't tell you about Collin and me," Spencer asked, but he didn't wait for me to respond. He looked at me and spoke as plain as day when he said that he and Collin were Lisa's 'entertainment'. Then he winked and waited for my reaction.
I wrinkled my eyebrows, shrugged and said "well that's not very surprising but I don't think that George would be ok with that." I looked over at him and he was staring at me like I was from Mars or something.
This time it was my time to smirk at him and I did, as I was walked down the hall, still in search for my bedroom. I was about to turn the corner when I heard him call out to me.
"You're bedroom is on the second floor, on the right, and 2 doors down." His voice was still very unsettling and I could tell it would take some time to get used to.
I paused, turned looked at him and then proceeded to turn the corner. 'Damn, this house looked nice from the outside, but it's definitely magnificent.'
When I walked into my room, I was extremely winded. That hallway must have been like ten miles long. Yes, an exaggeration, but still!
After I caught my breath I stared at my new room in awe. The room was a light green, which happens to be my favorite color, with dark green upholstery. It was everything that I could ever ask for. It also looked like George had set my bags in the back of the room in between two doors.
I inched my way over to my bags, but stepped around them and opened the first door that I came to. It was a huge bathroom. I'm talking about the whole deal: double sinks and a jacuzzi in all its glory.
As soon as I took enough time to appreciate the room, I came to this sad conclusion: it must be master bedroom. I slumped my shoulders and walked out of the room. I didn't even bother to open the other door because I figured it was a walk in closet, and I didn't want to be let down like I had in the bathroom.
I walked out of the perfect room and immediately got lost. I soon found myself facing the horrid room again though. 'Maybe, if Spencer is in the room, I could ask him to show me around,' I thought. Ha! I don't even like him as a person let alone a tour guide.
I walked by his room and eventually found my way to the staircase. Yep, this will take some time to get used to.
I was on a mission: find George. It shouldn't be too hard. He probably went into a study or something, so I just had to look for something that could resemble an office door.
I walked by the kitchen, thankful that Collin wasn't there and headed towards the back of the house. The house was never ending. As I turned the corner I was facing another staircase, but this one was leading to the downstairs.
I, being the nosy person that I am, decided to check it out. I blindly reached for a switch and found it out the right wall. I mean I would be living hear for the next two years though so, I don't really think it's that nosy.
When I reached the bottom I noticed that there were around 20 steps, opposed to the usual 13. The color was a warm yellow and had dark brown furnishings with burgundy accessories.
'Sick crib,' I thought.
I scanned the rest of the basement in awe. My old home wasn't nearly as cool as this one, but I would rather have my old home with my family than a cool home without them.
I walked closer to a door that was opened slightly but I stopped. I heard two voices coming from the inside of the undiscovered room.
I slowly slunk next to the wall and quieted my breathing so that I could hear what was being said. I am a snoopy person, but that's not hard to figure out.
The voices belonged to George and I think the other was Collin. They seemed like they were in a very serious conversation, but I still wanted to hear.
"-but you have to realize that she is going to be here for a while, while you might not be." That was definitely George. I waited for the response to come, but I guess Collin didn't say anything.
"You also have to keep in mind that our- ya know- has to be kept a secret from both Linda and her." I couldn't help by wonder if the girl they were talking about was me, but most likely hey were talking about Linda and one of her friends or clients. Wow I'm pretty sure Linda would consider her clients her friends. 'Right, off topic tangent time!'
As much as I would have liked to hear the rest, it sounded as if they were heading towards the door. I had to get out of there fast or hide. I chose the latter.
I spotted a small closet door under the stairwell and hid right as they opened their door.
Their words were mumbled as I was stressed to not let anything in the cluttered closet to fall. I couldn't make out any of hey rest of their conversation, but boy did I want too. I soon heard footsteps going up the stairs so I knew it was safe to come out.
I exhaled slowly and opened the door. I didn't expect to see Spencer staring at me with a sharp expression though.
I guess I was going to have to find George later.
